Knott Park is a 12.74-acre (5.16 ha) public park in the Parkrose Heights neighborhood of northeastern Portland, Oregon, United States. The park was acquired in 1986.

Merrifield Park is a 0.95-acre (0.38 ha) public park in the Parkrose Heights neighborhood of northeastern Portland, Oregon, United States. The park was acquired in 1985.

Woodland Park Hospital was a medical facility in Portland, Oregon, United States. Opened in 1962, the for profit hospital was known for its cosmetic surgery. Towards the end of its existence, the hospital received national attention when staff was forced to call 9-1-1 for a medical emergency, and the hospital then closed in 2006.

Gateway Discovery Park is a 3.01-acre (1.22 ha) public park in northeast Portland, Oregon. The park was acquired in 2009, and opened in 2018.

Woodland Park is an exclusively residential neighborhood in the Northeast section of Portland, Oregon. It borders Madison South on the west (beyond the I-84 and I-205 freeways), Parkrose Heights on the north and east, and Hazelwood on the south. It is roughly between NE 99th and 102nd, and NE Halsey and NE Tillamook. Woodland Park has no schools, parks, or businesses. It has the smallest area of Portland's 95 officially recognized neighborhoods.

Gateway Green is a 25 acres (10 ha) park in northeast Portland, Oregon, known for catering to off-road cyclists.It is located between Interstate 205 and Interstate 84 on the former site of the Rocky Butte county jail. The park opened June 2017, but construction to further expand the park began March 2020 is expected to be complete by November 2020.

The Gateway/Northeast 99th Avenue Transit Center, commonly known as Gateway Transit Center, is a TriMet bus transit center and light rail station on the MAX Blue, Green and Red Lines in Portland, Oregon, United States. It is the 14th stop eastbound on the current Eastside MAX. This station is where all three lines split, with Blue Line trains proceeding east to Gresham, Green Line trains proceeding south to Clackamas, and Red Line trains proceeding north to Portland International Airport. When opened in 1986, it was the busiest station on the Portland–Gresham MAX line, the only line in the system at that time, and was the terminus of 11 bus lines. Currently seven bus lines serve the Gateway Transit Center. The transit center is next to the interchange of Interstate 84 and Interstate 205, and behind a Fred Meyer store in the Gateway Shopping Center. Neighborhoods served by this station include Hazelwood, Woodland Park, Parkrose Heights, Madison South and Montavilla.

Hill Military Academy was a private, College preparatory military academy in Portland in the U.S. state of Oregon. Opened in 1901, it was a leading military boarding school in the Pacific Northwest. Originally located in Northwest Portland, it later moved to Rocky Butte where it remained until it closed in 1959. The school was a party to the Pierce v. Society of Sisters United States Supreme Court case.

Multnomah County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue (MCSO SAR) is a non-profit volunteer search and rescue resource for the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office in Multnomah County, Oregon, United States. The agency also offers its 3,000-5,000 hours of volunteer service to other areas, including Clackamas, Columbia, Washington, Marion, Hood River, Wasco, Tillamook, and Clatsop counties in Oregon, and Skamania and Clark counties in Washington. The organization was first created in 1961 in cooperation with the Boy Scouts of America, and is one of the longest continually used Explorer Search and Rescue units in the United States. In 1986, sponsorship of the MCSO SAR was transferred to the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office. MCSO SAR is part of the Mount Hood Search and Rescue Council. MCSO receives funding from the Department of Homeland Security within the Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) to create a regional resource.

Multnomah County Sheriff's Office is a County Law Enforcement agency that handles 9-1-1 calls and assists other city agencies such as Portland Police Bureau. The current Sheriff is Nicole Morrisey O'Donnell. The cities of Maywood Park, Wood Village, Fairview, and Troutdale contract out the law enforcement services of Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.The sheriff is elected by popular vote, and oversees a budget of $118 million.
