The Brno Conservatory, also Brno Conservatoire (Czech: Konzervatoř Brno), was established in Brno on 25 September 1919 by Moravian composer Leoš Janáček.

Brno International Business School (B.I.B.S.) is a private university based in Brno and Prague provides degree programs in business and administration.

Královo Pole indoor arena was an indoor sporting arena located in Brno-Královo Pole, Brno, Czech Republic. The capacity of the arena was 12,000 people. It opened in 1947 and closed in 2000. Prior to its closure, it served as the primary arena for HC Kometa Brno.

Brno City Theatre (Czech: Městské divadlo Brno; MdB) is a repertoire theatre in Brno, Czech Republic, that focuses on dramatic and music production, mainly musical theatre. The building of the theatre is located on Lidická street in town square Brno-center. It has two acting areas – dramatical scene (capacity 365 places) and musical theatre scene (capacity 680 places). As of 2011, the manager and director of the theatre is Stanislav Moša, art manager of the musical ensemble is Petr Gazdík and operetta manager is Igor Ondříček. The MdB is one of the theatres with very good ensemble and wide audience. There are many different art pieces in both of its musical and dramatic repertoire, lot of space is dedicated for many new works, which are often written directly for MdB. The theatre also has its own orchestra, so the audience can experience live scenic music.

The Supreme Court of the Czech Republic (Nejvyšší soud České republiky) is the court of highest appeal for almost all legal cases heard in the Czech Republic. As set forth in the Constitution of the Czech Republic, however, cases of constitutionality, administrative law and political jurisdiction are heard by other courts.Along with the Supreme Administrative and Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court forms a triumvirate of courts at the summit of the Czech judiciary. It is situated on Burešova Street 20, Brno. The Supreme Court sits in panels consisting of a Chairman and two judges or it sits in Grand Panels (velký senát) of the Divisions.The Divisions analyse and evaluate legally effective decisions of lower courts.The Criminal Division (trestní kolegium) consists of the judges of the Supreme Court, who apply substantive and procedural criminal law.The Civil and Commercial Division (občanskoprávní a obchodní kolegium) is responsible for ensuring uniformity and lawfulness in the decision-making of courts in civil proceedings. It does so in extraordinary appeal proceedings against decisions of courts of appeal and within its non-decision-making jurisdiction by providing standpoints.The Grand Panel of the Division (velký senát kolegia) decides cases referred to it by divisions. The Plenum (plénum) discusses the Supreme Court's Rules of Procedure and adopts standpoints on the courts decision-making.

Brno University of Technology (abbreviated: BUT; in Czech: Vysoké učení technické v Brně – Czech abbreviation: VUT) is a university located in Brno, Czech Republic. Being founded in 1899 and initially offering a single course in civil engineering, it grew to become a major technical Czech university with over 18,000 students enrolled at 8 faculties and 2 university institutes.

The Stadion Za Lužánkami is a closed stadium in Brno, Czech Republic. It was primarily used for football, and was the home ground of FC Zbrojovka Brno. It held up to 50,000 people. The stadium was constructed between 1949 and 1953 and was the biggest stadium in Czechoslovakia during the 1960s and 1970s. Za Lužánkami holds the record for the highest attendance in the Czech First League, set in a match between Brno and Slavia Prague during the 1996–97 Czech First League season. It was closed in 2001 after 1. FC Brno moved to Městský fotbalový stadion Srbská. The club was forced to move, since the stadium did not meet the football association and FIFA criteria. Plans for a reconstruction of the stadium, whereby the team of FC Zbrojovka Brno would return, were made, but in June 2012 it was announced that, due to financial concerns, the proposed reconstruction was on hold.The stadium fell into disrepair, with trees and bushes growing within it and homeless people living in the stands. FC Zbrojovka Brno captain, Petr Švancara, took it upon himself to try and restore the stadium in order that he could play a farewell game at Za Lužánkami. This effort expanded into a volunteer campaign, back by crowdfunding, to have the stadium ready to host a final game for Švancara. The project was a success, and on 27 June 2015 approximately 35,000 spectators watched two teams composed largely of former FC Zbrojovka Brno players play a match at Za Lužánkami.FC Zbrojovka Brno's youth team currently train near the stadium, which is rented out to supporters group Verime Zbrojovce, and plans have been unveiled for a £40 million overhaul. However, it has since returned to its abandoned and overgrown state.

Villa Tugendhat (Czech: Vila Tugendhat) is an architecturally significant building in Brno, Czech Republic. It is one of the pioneering prototypes of modern architecture in Europe, and was designed by the German architects Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich. It was built between 1928 and 1930 for Fritz Tugendhat and his wife Greta, of the wealthy and influential Jewish Czech Tugendhat family. Of reinforced concrete, the villa soon became an icon of modernism. Famous for its revolutionary use of space and industrial building materials, the building was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2001.

Mendel University in Brno (Czech: Mendelova univerzita v Brně) is located in Brno, Czech Republic. It was founded on 24 July 1919 on the basis of the former Tábor Academy. It now consists of five faculties and one institute - the Faculty of AgriSciences, Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, Faculty of Business and Economics, Faculty of Horticulture, Faculty of Regional Development and International Studies and Institute of Lifelong Education. It is named since 1994 after Gregor Mendel, the botanist and "father of genetics", who was active in this city during his lifetime. In June 2020, the university was included in the QS World University Rankings top 1,000 for the first time, placed #701-750.

Masaryk University (MU) (Czech: Masarykova univerzita; Latin: Universitas Masarykiana Brunensis) is the second largest university in the Czech Republic, a member of the Compostela Group and the Utrecht Network. Founded in 1919 in Brno as the second Czech university (after Charles University established in 1348 and Palacký University existent in 1573–1860), it now consists of ten faculties and 35,115 students. It is named after Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, the first president of an independent Czechoslovakia as well as the leader of the movement for a second Czech university.In 1960 the university was renamed Jan Evangelista Purkyně University after Jan Evangelista Purkyně, a Czech biologist. In 1990, following the Velvet Revolution it regained its original name. Since 1922, over 171,000 students have graduated from the university.

The Church of Saint Thomas and the Annunciation (Czech: Kostel sv. Tomáše Apoštola a Zvěstování P. Marie) is a historic church in Brno, Czech Republic. The church was founded in the middle of 14th century by John Henry of Luxembourg, Margrave of Moravia, with active support of his brother Charles IV., Roman Emperor, originally as part of an Augustinian monastery. After six years of work the church was consecrated (March 13, 1356) by the Olomouc Bishop Jan Očko of Vlašim in the presence of King Charles IV, suzerain of John Henry. Margrave John Henry and his son Jobst of Moravia, titular King of the Germans, are buried here – in the tomb in front of the main altar. John Henry's second consort, Margaret of Opava, reportedly is buried here, as well. In the south nave is located famous example of polychromed stone statue in high Gothic style, known as Pietà of Saint Thomas Current baroque appearance dates back to the second half of the 17th century when the church was repaired and rebuilt after severe damage caused by the Swedish siege of Brno during the Thirty Years War.The architect Adolf Loos was baptized in the church on 1 January 1871.
