The Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic (Czech: Ústavní soud České republiky) is the supreme constitutional court in the Czech Republic and the de facto highest and most powerful court in the land. The Constitution provides that the Court be "charged with protection of constitutional rule" and as such its primary jurisdiction is to review and rule on questions of constitutionality. In this respect, it is similar in functionality to the Supreme Court of the United States, but is distinct from the Supreme Court of the Czech Republic. Of all the various levels of the Czech Judiciary it is the one created with the greatest specificity in the Constitution. The decisions of the Court are final, cannot be overturned and are considered a source of law, similar to precedents in a common law system.Although the Court itself was established only in 1993, its Czechoslovak predecessor was already provided for in the Constitution of 1920, making Czechoslovakia the first country in the world with a system of judicial review by a specialized court (although the court itself first convened after the Austrian one). It was later adopted by many other countries.

The Red Church (Czech: Červený kostel) is a Protestant Church in Brno, Czech Republic. It was designed by architect Heinrich von Ferstel and built up between 1863 and 1867. Nowadays it is used by the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren. The building is a cultural monument.

The Supreme Administrative Court of the Czech Republic (Nejvyšší správní soud České republiky) is the court of the highest authority on issues of judicial review of executive (and regulatory) action. It also has jurisdiction over competence disputes and many political matters, such as the elections, the formation and closure of political parties, the eligibility of persons to stand for public office, etc. It also adjudicates in disciplinary proceedings against judges and state prosecutors. Similarly to other countries in Europe, administrative justice is considered a separate branch of the judiciary in the Czech Republic. The Supreme Administrative Court is the highest judicial authority in administrative law (spanning from asylum law, environmental law, and social security law to electoral law, tax law, competition law, etc. -- covering all public law except criminal law), whereas the Supreme Court deals with civil and criminal matters.

The Church of Saint Thomas and the Annunciation (Czech: Kostel sv. Tomáše Apoštola a Zvěstování P. Marie) is a historic church in Brno, Czech Republic. The church was founded in the middle of 14th century by John Henry of Luxembourg, Margrave of Moravia, with active support of his brother Charles IV., Roman Emperor, originally as part of an Augustinian monastery. After six years of work the church was consecrated (March 13, 1356) by the Olomouc Bishop Jan Očko of Vlašim in the presence of King Charles IV, suzerain of John Henry. Margrave John Henry and his son Jobst of Moravia, titular King of the Germans, are buried here – in the tomb in front of the main altar. John Henry's second consort, Margaret of Opava, reportedly is buried here, as well. In the south nave is located famous example of polychromed stone statue in high Gothic style, known as Pietà of Saint Thomas Current baroque appearance dates back to the second half of the 17th century when the church was repaired and rebuilt after severe damage caused by the Swedish siege of Brno during the Thirty Years War.The architect Adolf Loos was baptized in the church on 1 January 1871.

The Moravian Gallery in Brno (Czech: Moravská galerie v Brně) is the second largest art museum in the Czech Republic, established in 1961 by merging of two older institutions. It is situated in five buildings: Pražák Palace, Governor's Palace, Museum of Applied Arts, Jurkovič House and Josef Hoffmann Museum. Since 1963 the gallery has organized the International Biennial of Graphic Design Brno (Czech: Mezinárodní bienále grafického designu Brno).

Brno University of Technology (abbreviated: BUT; in Czech: Vysoké učení technické v Brně – Czech abbreviation: VUT) is a university located in Brno, Czech Republic. Being founded in 1899 and initially offering a single course in civil engineering, it grew to become a major technical Czech university with over 18,000 students enrolled at 8 faculties and 2 university institutes.

University Cinema Scala is a cinema in Brno in the Czech Republic. It is located at Moravské náměstí (Moravian Square) in the basement of building 127/3, city quarter Brno-střed and neighbourhood Brno-město. It has been in operation since 1929 and was at times also called Bio Dopz and Kino Moskva (Moscow Cinema). Since the autumn of 2013, it has been run by Masaryk University and the Aeropolis company as the first university cinema in the Czech Republic. Besides regular film screenings, it also serves as a representative space and a lecture and conference hall used for academic purposes.

The Hotel International in Brno, is one of the most important and best preserved buildings in the Brussels style in the Czech Republic. The eleven-story hotel was built between 1959 - 1962 designed by Ernest Krejza and Milos Kramoliše. The building is inspired by the style of Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer, There are also features of late functionalism. The hotel was opened on 29 June 1962. From its inception to 24 December 2013, the building was a cultural monument. The hotel was operated from 1962 to 1989 by the state company Inter Brno,. At the time of opening of the hotel had 301 rooms with a capacity of 697 people. It had about 300 employees. After the Velvet Revolution in 1989, the hotel was privatized and ownership passed to Hotel International Brno, Inc., founded in 1992.

Saint James` church (Czech: Kostel svatého Jakuba Staršího) is a late Gothic three-nave church situated in James' square (Jakubské náměstí) in the centre of Brno, in Czech Republic. Its history starts in the beginning of the 13th century. The church was categorized as a national monument in 1995.

Brno Ossuary (Czech: Brněnská kostnice) is an underground ossuary in Brno, Czech Republic. It was rediscovered in 2001 in the historical centre of the city, partially under the Church of St. James. It is estimated that the ossuary holds the remains of over 50 thousand people, which makes it the second-largest ossuary in Europe, after the Catacombs of Paris. The ossuary was founded in the 17th century, and was expanded in the 18th century. It has been open to public since June 2012.

Brno City Theatre (Czech: Městské divadlo Brno; MdB) is a repertoire theatre in Brno, Czech Republic, that focuses on dramatic and music production, mainly musical theatre. The building of the theatre is located on Lidická street in town square Brno-center. It has two acting areas – dramatical scene (capacity 365 places) and musical theatre scene (capacity 680 places). As of 2011, the manager and director of the theatre is Stanislav Moša, art manager of the musical ensemble is Petr Gazdík and operetta manager is Igor Ondříček. The MdB is one of the theatres with very good ensemble and wide audience. There are many different art pieces in both of its musical and dramatic repertoire, lot of space is dedicated for many new works, which are often written directly for MdB. The theatre also has its own orchestra, so the audience can experience live scenic music.

The Diocese of Brno (Latin: Dioecesis Brunensis) is a Latin diocese located in the city of Brno in the ecclesiastical province of Olomouc in the Czech Republic.
