Pueblo Nuevo is a corregimiento within Panama City, in Panamá District, Panamá Province, Panama with a population of 18,984 as of 2010. Its population as of 1990 was 21,289; its population as of 2000 was 18,161.

12 de Octubre is a Panama Metro station on Line 1. Construction of the station began on 17 March 2012 and it was one of the first 11 stations when the metro began operations on 6 April 2014. It is the first of six elevated stations when travelling towards the San Isidro terminus.Located in the district of the same name, the station is the closest to Panamá Viejo, the original site of Panama city. In its first year of operations, 12 de Octubre was the eighth most used station of the twelve on the network at that time, carrying 8% of the system's users at peak times.

The tunnels to the station were completed in August 2012 and it was one of the first 11 stations when the metro began operations on 6 April 2014.The station serves the Vista Hermosa neighbourhood. In April 2016, the network's metro library was opened in the station. In its first year of operations, it was the seventh most used station of the twelve on the network at that time, carrying 12% of the system's users at peak times.

The Biblioteca Nacional de Panamá (in English: National Library of Panama), in Panama City, is the legal deposit and copyright library for Panama. The library opened its doors on July 11, 1942, in a room located between 5th and 6th streets, adjacent to the presidency. In January 1961 the venue was moved to a building which had previously served as the Ricardo H. Newman College. On September 24, 1987, the library moved to Memorial Park Omar Torrijos, on Avenida Belisario Porras.

In June 2016, the station was used by 1,679 people per day on average, in contrast to the preceding and following stations, 12 de Octubre and San Miguelito, which were used by over 34,000 people daily. Architect Álvaro Uribe justified the station's creation on the basis that it would encourage future development in the area.

It was one of the metro network's first 11 stations, opened on 5 April 2014 and commencing operations the following day.The station serves the neighbourhoods of Obarrio and El Cangrejo, providing access to the city's financial and banking district.In its first year of operations, it was the sixth most used station of the twelve on the network at that time, carrying 18% of the system's users at peak times.

Latina University of Panama (Universidad Latina de Panamá) is a private university, located in Panama City, Panama. Established in 1991, it is now considered one of the largest private universities in the country.

The Oxford School is a British international school in Panama City, Panama. The school, located in Edison Park on Via Transistmica, has over 900 students as of 2015. It serves levels preschool through secondary school.The Oxford School, then a supplementary English language school, opened in 1983 and opened a permanent facility in a Via España campus in 1984. The day school programme, initially Pre-Kindergarten through 1st grade, opened in a Punta Paitilla campus in 1990. The Santiago de Veraguas campus opened in 1992. Its current building opened in 1999.
