Philips Memorial Building

West Chester State College Quadrangle Historic District, also known as the Quadrangle Historic District, is a group of historic academic buildings and national historic district located on the campus of West Chester University of Pennsylvania in West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It consists of five contributing buildings built between 1891 and 1940. They are Recitation Hall (1891-1893), the former Model School (1899, Ruby Jones Hall), the Old Library (1902-1904), Philips Memorial Building (1925-1927), and Anderson Hall (1937-1940). Except for Philips and Anderson, these buildings are all constructed of native Chester County serpentine stone.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 8, 1981 for its significance in architecture and education.

The house has been renovated into apartments. It was the home of Congressman Thomas S. Butler (1855–1928), father of U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler (1881–1940). Maj. Gen. Butler grew up in the house.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

West Chester University station is a former railroad station in West Chester, Pennsylvania. It was a stop on the Pennsylvania Railroad's (PRR) West Chester Line, and later became a part of SEPTA Regional Rail's R3 West Chester line before being closed in 1986. The West Chester Railroad heritage railway purchased the line, but does not use West Chester University station.

The West Chester station, formerly the Market Street Station, is an American train station that is located on Market Street in West Chester, Pennsylvania. It currently serves as a stop on the West Chester Railroad heritage railroad. The location was previously used as a stop on the Pennsylvania Railroad's (PRR) West Chester Branch, and later became a part of SEPTA's R3 West Chester Line. SEPTA discontinued regular passenger service here in September 1986, due to deteriorating track conditions, Chester County's desire to expand facilities at Exton station on SEPTA's Paoli/Thorndale Line, and the existence of faster and more frequent bus service on SEPTA Route 104 along West Chester Pike to 69th Street Terminal. Heritage service was restored in 1997 by the West Chester Railroad, a privately owned and operated tourist railroad that operates between Glen Mills and West Chester.

It was built in 1893, and is a 3+1⁄2-story, three-bay, brick building in an eclectic Romantic Medieval / Late Gothic Revival style.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is located in the West Chester Downtown Historic District.

Located within the Philadelphia metropolitan area, the borough had a population of 18,461 at the 2010 census. West Chester is the mailing address for most of its neighboring townships. When calculated by mailing address, the population as of the 2010 U.S. Census was 108,696, which would make it the 10th largest city by mailing address in the state of Pennsylvania.Much of the West Chester University of Pennsylvania North Campus and the Chester County government are located within the borough. The Farmers and Mechanics Building is a historic "skyscraper" located in West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It was completed in 1908 and is a six-story skyscraper building, with a basement and penthouse in the Classical Revival style. The top floor once featured a Roof Garden. The exterior is faced in Indiana limestone and yellow hard face brick, with terra cotta decorative details. In 1918 when the Boy Scouts were founded in Chester County the Farmers and Mechanics Building became their headquarters. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It is located in the West Chester Downtown Historic District.
