The Old Library at West Chester University in West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA, is situated on the prominent corner of South Church Street and West Rosedale Avenue, marking the southwest corner of the Quad.

Philips Memorial Hall is a building of West Chester University, in West Chester, Pennsylvania, United States, named after George Morris Philips (principal from 1881–1920), originally opened in 1927. It is a contributing building in the West Chester State College Quadrangle Historic District listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981. Designed by Walter F. Price, the exterior is fashioned from hammer-dressed Foxcroft Wissahickon schist, a local stone commonly used for buildings in the Collegiate Gothic style.Thanks to the support of Emilie Kessel Asplundh '27 and others, preservation and renovations were completed in 1999. Special features include: the whispering archway; the distinctive gargoyles; coats of arms and figures of western civilization; the 2,000-volume Philips Autographed Library; the 1,200-seat Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall; and the Presidential office suite.

The house has been renovated into apartments. It was the home of Congressman Thomas S. Butler (1855–1928), father of U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler (1881–1940). Maj. Gen. Butler grew up in the house.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

It was a stop on the Pennsylvania Railroad's (PRR) West Chester Line, and later became a part of SEPTA Regional Rail's R3 West Chester line before being closed in 1986. The West Chester Railroad heritage railway purchased the line, but does not use West Chester University station.

It currently serves as a stop on the West Chester Railroad heritage railroad. The location was previously used as a stop on the Pennsylvania Railroad's (PRR) West Chester Branch, and later became a part of SEPTA's R3 West Chester Line. SEPTA discontinued regular passenger service here in September 1986, due to deteriorating track conditions, Chester County's desire to expand facilities at Exton station on SEPTA's Paoli/Thorndale Line, and the existence of faster and more frequent bus service on SEPTA Route 104 along West Chester Pike to 69th Street Terminal. Heritage service was restored in 1997 by the West Chester Railroad, a privately owned and operated tourist railroad that operates between Glen Mills and West Chester.

Located within the Philadelphia metropolitan area, the borough had a population of 18,461 at the 2010 census. West Chester is the mailing address for most of its neighboring townships. When calculated by mailing address, the population as of the 2010 U.S. Census was 108,696, which would make it the 10th largest city by mailing address in the state of Pennsylvania.Much of the West Chester University of Pennsylvania North Campus and the Chester County government are located within the borough. It was built in 1893, and is a 3+1⁄2-story, three-bay, brick building in an eclectic Romantic Medieval / Late Gothic Revival style.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is located in the West Chester Downtown Historic District.

First Presbyterian Church of West Chester is a historic Presbyterian church located at 130 W. Miner Street in West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It was designed in 1832 by Thomas U. Walter, who later became the fourth Architect of the Capitol. The church is a stuccoed stone building measuring 75 feet long and 45 feet wide in the Greek Revival style. Additions were built in 1860 and 1955. The front facade features a recessed porch flanked by two projections with pilasters.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.
