Pie IX Bridge is a bridge in Quebec, spanning the Rivière des Prairies. It connects the Saint-Vincent-de-Paul area of Laval, on Île Jésus, and the borough of Montréal-Nord in Montreal, on the Island of Montreal. The bridge was part of Autoroute 25 until the construction of the new toll bridge for Autoroute 25. It is now part of Quebec Route 125. While it was originally called Le Caron Bridge, after Joseph Le Caron, an early missionary to the Hurons, the bridge has since been renamed Pie IX Bridge, after Pie-IX Boulevard. The Boulevard itself was named after Pope Pius IX (Pie is the French name for Pius).

Sauvé was a former provincial electoral district in the Canadian province of Quebec. It included part of the city and later borough of Montréal-Nord. It was created for the 1973 election from part of Bourassa electoral district. Its final election was in 1998. In the 2003 election, part of Bourassa and all of Sauvé were combined again to create Bourassa-Sauvé. It was named after former Quebec Premier Paul Sauvé, who led the province for 100 days in 1959 after the death of Maurice Duplessis, until his own death.

The Rivière des Prairies generating station (in French: Centrale de la Rivière des Prairies) is a run of river hydroelectric power station on the Rivière des Prairies between the islands of Jesus and Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Built in 1929, it is now managed and operated by Hydro-Québec. It has a generating capacity of 48 MW. There is no lock allowing boats to bypass the dam. The Rivière des Prairies (pronounced [ʁivjɛʁ de pʁɛʁi]; literally River of the Prairies), called the Back River in English is a delta channel of the Ottawa River in southwestern Quebec, Canada. The Kanien'kehá:ka called it Skowanoti, meaning "River behind the island". The river separates the cities of Laval and Montreal.

Sault-au-Récollet (Recollet Rapids, in English) is a neighbourhood in Montreal. It is located in the eastern edge of the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville bordering the Rivière des Prairies. Autoroute 19 connects Sault-au-Récollet to the city of Laval. Collège Laval is a private French-language high school located in Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, Laval, Quebec, in Canada. Today the college has an enrollment of 2000 students, and over 10,000 in alumni. The school is a member of the Quebec-based Fédération des établissements d'enseignement privés.
