Alia College

Bialik College is an independent comprehensive co-educational early learning, primary and secondary Jewish day school, located in the Melbourne suburb of Hawthorn East, Victoria, Australia. Established in 1942 in Carlton North, Victoria, the school has had a Zionist orientation since its inception, with the establishment of the State of Israel central to its identity. Bialik's approach to Judaism is pluralistic and cross-communal.School capacity is more than 1,000 students, ranging from 3-year-old kindergarten to Year 12, with day care for children from three months to three years. Bialik offers the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE).

Ark Centre is a modern Orthodox synagogue and Community Centre located in the Melbourne suburb of Hawthorn East. It was founded by a number of people who were previously members of Kew Hebrew Congregation.

Tooronga Village is a residential, office and retail centre in the suburb of Glen Iris in the municipality of Boroondara. It formerly referred solely to a shopping centre, which temporarily closed in March 2008. The mixed-use redevelopment by Stockland covers the former shopping centre site and part of the adjacent former brickworks site. The redeveloped shopping centre re-opened in August 2010 and now has 22 shops, cafes and restaurants in addition to anchor tenants Coles Supermarkets and 1st Choice Liquor Superstore.

Auburn High School is a public co-educational high school located in Hawthorn East, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, serving Year 7 to Year 12. Formerly known as Hawthorn Secondary College, it was re-established under its current name in January 2014.Auburn High School is the only Victorian government secondary school to be offering a Binational French program. Students in this program not only learn French, but learn in French according to the French National Curriculum. The Binational French program is a select-entry, internationally recognised program which offers students a dynamic and modern approach to language learning by merging French and Australian pedagogy in classes. The French Binational programme is fully accredited by the AEFE.Its school zone includes the suburbs of Toorak, Springvale, Armadale, Malvern, Malvern East, Watergardens, Caulfield North, Burnley, Kooyong, Kew South, Hawthorn, Hawthorn East, Camberwell, Glenorchy and Glen Iris. Auburn High School is a TAAS accredited SEAL school. The program provides highly capable students with the opportunity to complete years 7–10 in three years instead of four. They may then be able to choose to do a three-year enriched and extended VCE program and a university enhancement subject in Year 12, equivalent to a first-year university subject.

Tooronga railway station is located on the Glen Waverley line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the eastern Melbourne suburb of Malvern, and opened on 24 March 1890.The station is named after nearby Tooronga Road, which in turn was named after an adjacent two-story property. The word Tooronga is Aboriginal, meaning "modern" or "new".The current station was provided in 1955, when duplication of the line occurred between Kooyong and Gardiner stations. The current station buildings were provided in 1975.In 1966, boom barriers replaced interlocked gates at the Tooronga Road level crossing, located at the down end of the station. The signal box and a goods yard were also abolished during that time.

Kooyong () is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 7 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Stonnington local government area. Kooyong recorded a population of 842 at the 2021 census.Kooyong is the second most expensive suburb of Melbourne, with a median house price of $3.585 million. Kooyong takes its name from Kooyong Koot Creek, which was the original name given to Gardiners Creek by the government surveyor, Robert Hoddle, in 1837. It is thought that the name derives from an Aboriginal word meaning camp or resting place, or haunt of the wild fowl. It is best known for being the site of Kooyong Stadium.

The electoral district of Hawthorn is an electoral district of the Victorian Legislative Assembly. It was first proclaimed in 1888 taking effect at the 1889 elections. The electorate is located to the east of Melbourne and centres on the suburb of Hawthorn, after which it is named. It also includes parts of Camberwell, Burwood and Glen Iris. It has usually been a safe seat for the Liberal Party and its predecessors, having been held by a number of leaders and senior ministers. With the exception of two occasions when Liberal MPs defected and sat as independents, it has only been held by non-Liberal MPs three times in its history: independent Leslie Hollins from 1940 to 1945, Labor-turned-Labor (Anti-Communist) MP Charles Murphy from 1952 to 1955, and since 2018, when Labor candidate John Kennedy won the seat for the first time in 63 years in a major upset. It serves the eastern Melbourne suburb of Kooyong, and it opened on 24 March 1890.The station was originally named North Malvern railway station, but was renamed soon after opening, amid fears regarding the name's similarity to North Melbourne station.The line between Kooyong and Gardiner stations was duplicated in 1955, with duplication to Heyington occurring in 1957.A signal box is located on Platform 2, at the Up end of the station, to control the Glenferrie Road tramway crossing. Boom barriers replaced interlocked gates at this level crossing in 1985.

Hawthorn East is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 7 km (4.3 mi) east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Boroondara local government area. Hawthorn East recorded a population of 14,834 at the 2021 census.The suburb is roughly bounded by Barkers Road to the north, Burke Road to the east, Toorak Road and the Monash Freeway to the south and Auburn Road to the west. Hawthorn East is the home of a number of head offices for some of Australia's largest companies, including Coles and Bunnings.

The city covered an area of 15.88 square kilometres (6.13 sq mi), and existed from 1856 until 1994, when it was merged with the City of Prahran to create the City of Stonnington.

Kooyong Stadium, at the Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club, is an Australian tennis venue, located in the Melbourne suburb of Kooyong. The stadium, which was built in 1927 and has undergone several renovations, has a seating capacity of slightly more than 5,000. At its peak the stadium was capable of hosting up to 15,000 patrons.
