The Division of Higgins is an Australian Electoral Division in Victoria for the Australian House of Representatives. The division covers 41 km2 (16 sq mi) in Melbourne's inner south-eastern suburbs. The main suburbs include Armadale, Ashburton, Carnegie, Glen Iris, Kooyong, Malvern, Malvern East, Murrumbeena, Prahran and Toorak; along with parts of Camberwell, Ormond and South Yarra. Though historically a safe conservative seat, Higgins was won by the Liberal Party by a margin of just 3.9 percent over the Labor Party at the 2019 election, the closest result in the seat’s history. It then flipped to Labor in the 2022 election.In June 2021, the AEC announced that the electoral division would include the locality of Windsor at the following federal election, but that part of the suburb of Glen Iris and the suburb of Hughesdale would be transferred to the Division of Kooyong and Division of Hotham respectively.Higgins is a largely white-collar electorate. According to the 2016 census, 46.5% of electors hold a Bachelor's Degree, more than twice the national average.The current member for Higgins, since the 2022 federal election, is Michelle Ananda-Rajah, a member of the Australian Labor Party, and the first Labor member in the seat's history.

Glen Iris is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the Cities of Boroondara and Stonnington local government areas. Glen Iris recorded a population of 26,131 at the 2021 census.Glen Iris has been Melbourne's geographical centre of population since the 1990s.

Korowa Anglican Girls' School is an independent, Anglican, day school for girls, located in Glen Iris, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Established in Malvern in 1890, Korowa is a non-selective school and currently caters for approximately 689 students, ranging from the Early Learning Centre (three- and four-year-olds) to Year 12s completing the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE). The Harold Holt Memorial Swimming Centre is a public swimming pool complex located on the corner of High Street and Edgar Street, Glen Iris, Melbourne, Australia. Built in the 1960s by Australian architects Kevin Borland and Daryl Jackson, the Swimming Centre is considered to be a fine example of Brutalist architecture. Originally built as a municipal swimming baths, in 1927, the facilities were renovated in 1967 by Borland and Jackson to accommodate for higher swimming participation numbers. It is named in honour of Prime Minister Harold Holt, whose apparent drowning death was announced during its construction and who was the local member of parliament (representing the Division of Higgins).

Glen Iris railway station is located on the Glen Waverley line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the eastern Melbourne suburb of Glen Iris, and opened on 24 March 1890.The line through the station was electrified in December 1922.In 1970, boom barriers replaced interlocked gates at the High Street level crossing, located at the down end of the station, and the signal box was abolished around the same time.The current station building was opened in 1975, without the parcel facilities that had previously been provided.

Tooronga Village is a residential, office and retail centre in the suburb of Glen Iris in the municipality of Boroondara. It formerly referred solely to a shopping centre, which temporarily closed in March 2008. The mixed-use redevelopment by Stockland covers the former shopping centre site and part of the adjacent former brickworks site. The redeveloped shopping centre re-opened in August 2010 and now has 22 shops, cafes and restaurants in addition to anchor tenants Coles Supermarkets and 1st Choice Liquor Superstore.

Tooronga railway station is located on the Glen Waverley line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the eastern Melbourne suburb of Malvern, and opened on 24 March 1890.The station is named after nearby Tooronga Road, which in turn was named after an adjacent two-story property. The word Tooronga is Aboriginal, meaning "modern" or "new".The current station was provided in 1955, when duplication of the line occurred between Kooyong and Gardiner stations. The current station buildings were provided in 1975.In 1966, boom barriers replaced interlocked gates at the Tooronga Road level crossing, located at the down end of the station. The signal box and a goods yard were also abolished during that time.

The Electoral district of Glen Iris was an electoral district of the Victorian Legislative Assembly.It was created in the redistribution of 1945 when several districts including Boroondara were abolished. Glen Iris was abolished in the 1955 redistribution when several districts including Burwood and Caulfield East were created. Glen Iris was recreated in 1967, replacing Burwood. It was abolished again in 1976, replaced by a recreated Burwood.
