Kooyong railway station

Kooyong Stadium, at the Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club, is an Australian tennis venue, located in the Melbourne suburb of Kooyong. The stadium, which was built in 1927 and has undergone several renovations, has a seating capacity of slightly more than 5,000. At its peak the stadium was capable of hosting up to 15,000 patrons.

Kooyong () is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 7 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Stonnington local government area. Kooyong recorded a population of 842 at the 2021 census.Kooyong is the second most expensive suburb of Melbourne, with a median house price of $3.585 million. Kooyong takes its name from Kooyong Koot Creek, which was the original name given to Gardiners Creek by the government surveyor, Robert Hoddle, in 1837. It is thought that the name derives from an Aboriginal word meaning camp or resting place, or haunt of the wild fowl. It is best known for being the site of Kooyong Stadium.

Gardiners Creek, originally known as Kooyongkoot Creek, is a waterway in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, and part of the Yarra River catchment. In a few sparse locations remnant riparian bushland survives, however the majority of its length has been heavily urbanised, and the creek has been degraded in much the same way as other Melbourne eastern suburban waterways such as the Mullum Mullum Creek and Koonung Creek. The Gardiners Creek Trail follows the creek for most of its length.

Electoral district of Ormond was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Victoria.Ormond was created in the 1958 redistribution, when Caulfield East (along with five others) were abolished. Ormond was abolished in 1967 when nineteen electorates, including Glenhuntly, were created.

The college was established in 1851 as The Melbourne Academy in a house in Spring Street, Melbourne, by James Forbes of the Free Presbyterian Church of Victoria. Auburn High School is a public co-educational high school located in Hawthorn East, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, serving Year 7 to Year 12. Formerly known as Hawthorn Secondary College, it was re-established under its current name in January 2014.Auburn High School is the only Victorian government secondary school to be offering a Binational French program. Students in this program not only learn French, but learn in French according to the French National Curriculum. The Binational French program is a select-entry, internationally recognised program which offers students a dynamic and modern approach to language learning by merging French and Australian pedagogy in classes. Stonington (formerly Stonnington) is a private residence and former Australian Government House located in the Melbourne suburb of Malvern, at 336 Glenferrie Road. The house was built for John Wagner, a partner in Cobb and Co coaches. Stonington gave its name to the City of Stonnington, a Melbourne municipality.

St Kevin's College is an independent Catholic primary and secondary school for boys located in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The college has five campuses, three of which are in the suburb of Toorak, the fourth in Richmond, and the fifth being a sport campus located behind Stockland Tooronga. The school owned a campsite 'Silver Creek' in the town of Flowerdale which was completely destroyed by the Black Saturday bushfires. St Kevin's was founded in 1918 by the Christian Brothers and is a member of the Associated Public Schools of Victoria. St Kevin's overlooks Gardiners Creek, a tributary that runs into the Yarra River, with Scotch College on the opposite side. The college has a long-standing tradition with the historic St. Patrick's Cathedral and is responsible for educating their choir boys.The Archdiocese of Melbourne provides oversight of St Kevin's, and its administration is directed by Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA), and is a member of both the Associated Public Schools of Victoria (APS) and the International Boys' Schools Coalition (IBSC). The Headmaster is a member of the Association of Heads of Independent Schools of Australia (AHISA).

Ark Centre is a modern Orthodox synagogue and Community Centre located in the Melbourne suburb of Hawthorn East. It was founded by a number of people who were previously members of Kew Hebrew Congregation.

The City of Malvern was a local government area about 9 kilometres (6 mi) southeast of Melbourne, the state capital of Victoria, Australia. The city covered an area of 15.88 square kilometres (6.13 sq mi), and existed from 1856 until 1994, when it was merged with the City of Prahran to create the City of Stonnington.

Established in 1942 in Carlton North, Victoria, the school has had a Zionist orientation since its inception, with the establishment of the State of Israel central to its identity. Heyington railway station is located on the Glen Waverley line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the eastern Melbourne suburb of Toorak, and it opened on 24 March 1890.Duplication of the line between Heyington and Burnley stations occurred in 1926, with duplication between Heyington and Kooyong stations occurring in 1955. In 1969, the current overpass, located just beyond the Up end of the station, and which crosses over the Yarra River and the Monash Freeway, was provided.The current station building on Platform 1 was provided in 1975. Parcel facilities were also abolished around this time.St Kevin's College is located adjacent to Platform 2.
