Victoria Theatre, Salford

The Church of the Ascension is a Grade II listed Anglican church in Lower Broughton, Salford, England. In February 2017 a fire destroyed the roof and interior of the building.

The Centenary Building is a building at the University of Salford in Greater Manchester, England. It was designed by the architect Stephen Hodder, completed in December 1995 and opened in 1996. The building won the RIBA Award and inaugural Stirling Prize in 1996, and the Civic Trust Award in 1998.

Wheater's Field was a rugby ground in Broughton, Salford, England. It was home to the Broughton Rangers rugby league club of the Northern Union. On 19 October 1907, the stadium hosted a match between Rangers and the New Zealand All Golds. It had a capacity of 20,000. Rangers would call the stadium home until just before the First World War when they moved to the nearby Cliff. The ground hosted two Challenge Cup finals, in 1907 Warrington 17 Oldham 3 and in 1921 Leigh 13 Halifax 0.Wheater's Field is now a housing estate and its location is traceable through the naming of three streets: Wheater's Crescent, Wheater's Street and Wheater's Terrace.

Broughton is a suburb and district of Salford, Greater Manchester, England. Located on the east bank of the River Irwell, it is 1 mile (1.6 km) northwest of Manchester and 2 miles (3.2 km) south of Prestwich. Historically in Lancashire, Broughton was a township and chapelry in the parish of Manchester and hundred of Salford. The former manor house, Broughton Hall, belonged to the Chethams and the Stanleys, both distinguished local families, and later passed, by marriage, to the Clowes family. Part of Broughton was amalgamated into the Municipal Borough of Salford in 1844, and the remaining area in 1853.In the 21st century, parts of Lower Broughton and Higher Broughton have been redeveloped with a mixture of town houses and flats. Together with neighbouring Whitefield, Prestwich and Crumpsall, Broughton is home to a large Jewish community.

Salford Town Hall is the former town hall of Salford, Greater Manchester, England. It was the meeting place of the County Borough of Salford. Following the abolition of the county borough, it became Salford Magistrates' Court and continued to be used as such until 2011. The court was then merged with the court of Manchester to form the Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court. The building is now in residential use and is a Grade II Listed Building being designated in January 1952.

The Cathedral Church of St. John the Evangelist, usually known as Salford Cathedral, is a Catholic cathedral on Chapel Street in Salford, Greater Manchester, England. It is the seat of the Bishop of Salford and mother church of the Diocese of Salford, and is a Grade II* listed building.

St Philip's Church is an Anglican parish church in the diocese of Manchester, in the deanery and archdeaconry of Salford. The church was renamed in 2016 as Saint Philip's Chapel Street. It is located at Wilton Place, off Chapel Street in Salford, Greater Manchester, England. The structure is registered as a Grade II* listed building on England's National Heritage List. It was a Commissioners' church, having received a subsidy from the Church Building Commission for its erection. Sir Robert Smirke, the church's architect, reused his design for St Mary's Church, Bryanston Square, London. The tower design was also employed at Wandsworth's St Anne's Church.

Blackfriars is an outer-city suburb of Salford in Greater Manchester, England. It is situated along the banks of the River Irwell, close to the traditional centre of Salford at Greengate, between Manchester City Centre and Broughton. Blackfriars contains Blackfriars Park, one of Salford's smaller parks, and is home to the Friars Primary School.Due to slum clearance very few buildings in Blackfriars now predate the 1960s. One notable exception is the 1871-built tavern on Blackfriars Road, which has now been converted into homes for shared ownership.

Threlfalls Brewery is a Grade II listed building on Cook Street, Salford, England, built in 1896 to the design of W.A. Deighton for Chester's Brewery Company.The brewery premises, comprising two-storey offices, copper room, maturing room, single-storey boiler room, chimney and five-storey tower, were built in pressed red brick with ashlar dressings and Welsh slate roofs.

Salford Central railway station is in the city of Salford, Greater Manchester, England, close to Spinningfields and Deansgate. It is served by trains to and from Manchester Victoria, towards Rochdale and Wigan Wallgate.

Bankside at Colliers Yard is a residential high-rise building under construction in the Greengate area of Salford, Greater Manchester, England. The building is part of developer Renaker's Greengate masterplan called Colliers Yard, which consists of three adjacent towers, the others being Cortland which topped out in July 2022, and Parkside which was granted planning permission in March 2023. When completed, at 129 m (423 ft), it will be the third-tallest building in Salford and the 10th-tallest building in Greater Manchester. It was designed by Denton Corker Marshall.
