The Shabakunk Creek is a tributary of the Assunpink Creek in Mercer County, New Jersey, United States. Via the Assunpink, its water ultimately flows into the Delaware River. The name Shabakunk is from the Lenape word meaning "shore land".

Colonial Lake is a 25-acre (10 ha) man-made lake along the Shabakunk Creek in Lawrence Township, Mercer County, New Jersey, United States. It is located on Business Route 1 across from the Lawrence Shopping Center. The lake was created when an earthen dam was constructed across the Shabakunk in 1924 by local housing developers interested in providing recreation opportunities for a nearby development, which became known as Colonial Lakelands. The lake is currently the centerpiece of Lawrence Township's Colonial Lake Park.

Trenton Speedway was a racing facility located near Trenton, New Jersey at the New Jersey State Fairgrounds. Races for the United States' premier open-wheel and full-bodied racing series of the times were held at Trenton Speedway.

Mercerville is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Hamilton Township, in Mercer County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 13,230. Until after the 2000 census, the area was part of the Mercerville-Hamilton Square CDP. For the 2010 Census it was split into two CDPs, Mercerville and Hamilton Square.

Nottingham Township was a township that existed for almost 168 years in New Jersey, from 1688 until it was dissolved in 1856. The township was created on November 6, 1688, as a part of nascent Burlington County in the Province of West Jersey, representing half of the future Province of New Jersey. It was incorporated by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature as one of the State of New Jersey's initial group of 104 townships on February 21, 1798. On February 22, 1838, the township became part of the newly formed Mercer County. On February 28, 1840, the Borough of South Trenton, New Jersey was created, and annexed in 1851 as part of Trenton. Hamilton Township was created on April 11, 1842, from portions of Nottingham, reducing its once sprawling territory to a long sliver of land running between the Delaware River and the Delaware and Raritan Canal. Portions of the township were annexed by Bordentown borough (now a city) on February 13, 1849.Nottingham Township was dissolved on April 14, 1856, with portions of its territory being split between Hamilton Township and Trenton.

Grounds For Sculpture (GFS) is a 42-acre (170,000 m2) sculpture park and museum located in Hamilton, New Jersey. It is located on the former site of Trenton Speedway. Founded in 1992 by John Seward Johnson II, the venue is dedicated to promoting an understanding of and appreciation for contemporary sculpture by organizing exhibitions, publishing catalogues, and offering a variety of educational programs and special community events. In July 2000, GFS became a nonprofit organization open to the public. Operation revenues come from visitors, art patrons, donations, and grants. GFS maintains an ever changing collection of sculptures, with works by Seward Johnson and other artists.

The former Keith Line bisects the county and is the boundary between municipalities that previously had been separated into West Jersey and East Jersey. Trenton–Mercer Airport in Ewing Township is a commercial and corporate aviation airport serving Mercer County and its surrounding vicinity. The official residence of the governor of New Jersey, known as Drumthwacket, is located in Princeton, and is listed on both the U.S. National Register of Historic Places and the New Jersey Register of Historic Places. Mercer County contains 12 municipalities, the fewest of any county in New Jersey, and equal to Hudson County. The county is located in the Central Jersey region.

Nottingham High School (also formally known as Hamilton High School North) is a four-year comprehensive public high school serving students in ninth through twelfth grades located in Hamilton Township, in Mercer County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, operating as one of the three secondary schools of the Hamilton Township School District; the other high schools in the district are Hamilton High School West and Steinert High School (Hamilton High School East).As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 985 students and 86.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.4:1. There were 400 students (40.6% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 82 (8.3% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.
