Colonial Lake

The Shabakunk Creek is a tributary of the Assunpink Creek in Mercer County, New Jersey, United States. Via the Assunpink, its water ultimately flows into the Delaware River. The name Shabakunk is from the Lenape word meaning "shore land".

Lawrence High School (LHS) is a four-year comprehensive public high school in Lawrence Township, Mercer County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, serving students in ninth through twelfth grades as the lone secondary school of the Lawrence Township Public Schools. The school is located in the Lawrenceville section of the township. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1992.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,166 students and 99.2 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.8:1. There were 190 students (16.3% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 70 (6.0% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.The school colors are red and white. The school mascot is the cardinal.

Slackwood is an unincorporated community located within Lawrence Township in Mercer County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The area is named for the owners of the land that was subdivided into the neighborhood today, Joseph Slack and William Wood. The neighborhood was first developed in 1890 as the first suburban development in the reconfigured Lawrence Township (a portion of the township had seceded in the 1880s to form Millham Township, now part of the City of Trenton). Its location between Princeton Pike (now County Route 583) and Brunswick Pike (U.S. Route 1 Business) allowed for an easy walk to nearby Trenton factories. Today, most of the homes in Slackwood are still small bungalows with some businesses along with Princeton and Brunswick Pikes. The neighborhood is bounded by the two highways on the northwest and southeast, Slackwood Park and forest on the southwest, and Shabakunk Creek and Park on the northeast.

The Lawrence Township Public Schools is a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade from Lawrence Township, in Mercer County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2020–21 school year, the district, comprised of seven schools, had an enrollment of 3,707 students and NA classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of NA:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "GH", the third-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.Students from Robbinsville Township (known as Washington Township until 2007) had attended Lawrence High School as part of a sending/receiving relationship that ended following the opening of Robbinsville High School, with the final group of Robbinsville seniors graduating in the 2006-07 school year.

The Anderson–Capner House is located at 700 Trumbull Avenue in Lawrence Township, New Jersey. Constructed in 1764, it is the last remaining pre-revolutionary building and farm house in the southern part of the township. Thomas Capner purchased the house in 1829 and introduced new scientific methods of farming to the area. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Hamilton station is an NJ Transit station on the Northeast Corridor Line, in Hamilton Township, Mercer County, New Jersey, United States. Also at this station is the NJ Transit Hamilton Township bus garage. The station is at 600 Sloan Avenue, off exit 65B of Interstate 295. Hamilton Transit Center opened February 21, 1999 as an intermodal complex. It is next to a former American Standard factory that was redeveloped into an office building. Peak express trains make the trip to New York Penn Station in about an hour, while off-peak express trains take an hour and fifteen minutes.The Hamilton station received national media attention in 2019, when it was reported that commuters are regularly locked out of the station building on early mornings. The building, which houses a ticket office, waiting room, and Dunkin' Donuts shop, is to open at 4:30 a.m. every day with the opening of the donut shop; a Dunkin' Donuts employee is contracted to open the doors of the building at that time. The ticket office opens later each day, at 6 a.m., and the platforms and a small enclosed waiting area are always kept open.
