The 1976 U.S. Women's Open was the 31st U.S. Women's Open, held July 8–12 at Rolling Green Golf Club in Springfield, Pennsylvania, a suburb west of Philadelphia. JoAnne Carner, the 1971 champion, won in a Monday playoff over defending champion Sandra Palmer by a score of 76 to 78. The two had tied at 292 (+8), four strokes ahead of Jane Blalock.

It is located on Springfield Road between Windsor Circle and North Brookside Road, although SEPTA gives the address as being near Springfield and Rolling Roads. Trolleys arriving at this station travel between 69th Street Terminal in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania and Orange Street in Media, Pennsylvania. The major SEPTA 101 line improvement project of 2008-2010 expanded, modernized, and refurbished this facility. Inbound (toward 69th Street Terminal) trolleys stop for passengers on the north side of Springfield Road at a platform equipped with a large shed with an overhanging roof. A second, smaller shelter was added to the inbound platform. Outbound trolleys stop along a new (2009) platform along the south side of Springfield Road, adjacent to the sizeable station parking lot. This long platform has two open-air metal benches and a bench in a small, roofed shelter to protect waiting passengers during inclement weather. The lighted, landscaped, free parking lot by this platform offers parking for approximately 30 vehicles, and includes spaces for handicapped drivers and a bicycle rack. Several additional free parking spaces for cars line the outbound tracks along North Rolling Road on the north side of Springfield Road across from Windsor Circle.

Drexeline is the closest stop on the entire Media-Sharon Hill trolley line system to US 1. Free parking is available at this station, although it is primarily designed for patrons of the shopping center. Until the Springfield Mall opened in 1974, Drexeline was the only stop along the Media line that served a shopping plaza of any kind. Today at least four stops serve shopping centers, and two of them serve the same one in Media.

Trolleys arriving at this station travel between 69th Street Terminal in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania and Orange Street in Media, Pennsylvania. The station has a shed with a roof on the south side of the tracks where people can go inside when it is raining. No parking or bus service is available at this stop. While the south side of the tracks contain local businesses on Saxer Avenue, the north side is almost entirely residential.

Richardson Middle School, and high school students (9–12) attend Springfield High School. Students in (K-1) attend the Springfield Literacy Center that opened for the 2010 school year. The district's administration office as connected to the high school building. Springfield High School students may choose to attend Delaware County Technical High School for training in the construction and mechanical trades. The Delaware County Intermediate Unit IU25 provides the district with a wide variety of services like specialized education for disabled students and hearing, speech and visual disability services and professional development for staff and faculty.

Collen Brook Farm, also known as Collenbrook, is a historic home and associated buildings located in Upper Darby, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The complex includes three contributing buildings: a farmhouse, a granite spring house (c. 1782), and stone and frame carriage house (c. 1870). The house is a 2+1⁄2-story, vernacular stone residence with a Georgian plan and consisting of three sections. The oldest section was built around 1700, with additions made in 1774, and 1794. It was the home of noted educator and political leader George Smith (1804–1882).It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.The 18th-century period farmhouse house is owned by the Upper Darby Historical Society and open to the public on Sunday afternoons from May through October.

It is officially located near Leamy Avenue and Rolling Road, but is directly on the southeast corner of these streets. Trolleys arriving at this station travel between 69th Street Terminal in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania and Orange Street in Media, Pennsylvania. The station contains a green and white stucco shed with a roof on the south side of the tracks where people can go inside when it is raining, and a plexiglas and aluminum bus shelter on the north side of the tracks. A school is located on the northwest side of the tracks. At this location, the tracks run at a northeast-to-southwest direction. Leamy Avenue itself is divided as "West Leamy Avenue" northwest of the grade crossing, and "East Leamy Avenue" southeast of the grade crossing. Southwest of this stop tracks narrow down from two to one until the Route 101 line approaches the Pine Ridge stop.
