Springfield Road station (SEPTA Route 101)

Springfield Township, or simply Springfield, is a township in Delaware County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. The population was 25,070 at the 2020 census. Springfield is a suburb of Philadelphia, located about 4 miles (6.4 km) west of the city.

Trolleys arriving at this station travel between 69th Street Terminal in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania and Orange Street in Media, Pennsylvania. The station has a shed with a roof on the south side of the tracks where people can go inside when it is raining. No parking or bus service is available at this stop. While the south side of the tracks contain local businesses on Saxer Avenue, the north side is almost entirely residential.

Trolleys arriving at this station travel between 69th Street Terminal in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania and Orange Street in Media, Pennsylvania. Scenic Road is at the north end of Walsh Park, a 19.4-acre (79,000 m2) natural environmental center with picnic tables, playground equipment, and various athletic fields. It is also located south of Indian Rock Park, a 21.9-acre (89,000 m2) natural environmental park in Drexel Hill, containing picnic tables, playground equipment, basketball courts, and Darby Creek.

Springfield School District (SSD) is a midsized, suburban, (K–12th) public school district located in Springfield Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. It also serves the neighboring Morton Borough. The district is one of the 500 public school districts of Pennsylvania. Springfield School District encompasses 7 square miles (18 km2). According to 2017-21 ACS-ED data, the district serves a resident population of 27,608. The median household income is $115,487, versus a state median income of $67,587, and national median income of $69,021. The educational attainment levels for the Springfield School District population are 58.8% Bachelor’s degree or higher. In the 2010 census, the percent of families in poverty was 3.0; the percent of all people in poverty was 3.9; the percent of people under 18 years in poverty was 6.0. Springfield School District operates two elementary schools (2–5), Scenic Hills Elementary School and Harvey C. Sabold Elementary School. Junior high students (6–8) attend E.T. Richardson Middle School, and high school students (9–12) attend Springfield High School. Students in (K-1) attend the Springfield Literacy Center that opened for the 2010 school year. The district's administration office as connected to the high school building. Springfield High School students may choose to attend Delaware County Technical High School for training in the construction and mechanical trades. The Delaware County Intermediate Unit IU25 provides the district with a wide variety of services like specialized education for disabled students and hearing, speech and visual disability services and professional development for staff and faculty.

Springfield High School is a public high school in Springfield Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. It is a part of the Springfield School District. In addition to Springfield Township, its attendance zone includes the borough of Morton.

Leamy Avenue station is a SEPTA Route 101 trolley station in Springfield Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. It is officially located near Leamy Avenue and Rolling Road, but is directly on the southeast corner of these streets. Trolleys arriving at this station travel between 69th Street Terminal in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania and Orange Street in Media, Pennsylvania. The station contains a green and white stucco shed with a roof on the south side of the tracks where people can go inside when it is raining, and a plexiglas and aluminum bus shelter on the north side of the tracks. A school is located on the northwest side of the tracks. At this location, the tracks run at a northeast-to-southwest direction. Leamy Avenue itself is divided as "West Leamy Avenue" northwest of the grade crossing, and "East Leamy Avenue" southeast of the grade crossing. Southwest of this stop tracks narrow down from two to one until the Route 101 line approaches the Pine Ridge stop.

The 1976 U.S. Women's Open was the 31st U.S. Women's Open, held July 8–12 at Rolling Green Golf Club in Springfield, Pennsylvania, a suburb west of Philadelphia. JoAnne Carner, the 1971 champion, won in a Monday playoff over defending champion Sandra Palmer by a score of 76 to 78. The two had tied at 292 (+8), four strokes ahead of Jane Blalock.

Drexeline station is a SEPTA Route 101 trolley stop in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. It is located near Woodland Avenue behind Drexeline Shopping Center in the Drexelbrook area. It is also located northeast of a bridge over Darby Creek near Indian Rock Park, a 21.9-acre (89,000 m2) Natural Environmental Park, containing picnic tables, playground equipment, and basketball courts. Drexeline is the closest stop on the entire Media-Sharon Hill trolley line system to US 1. Trolleys arriving at this station travel between 69th Street Terminal in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania and Orange Street in Media, Pennsylvania. Free parking is available at this station, although it is primarily designed for patrons of the shopping center. Until the Springfield Mall opened in 1974, Drexeline was the only stop along the Media line that served a shopping plaza of any kind. Today at least four stops serve shopping centers, and two of them serve the same one in Media.

Woodland Avenue station is a SEPTA Route 101) trolley stop in Springfield Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. It is officially located on Woodland Avenue (PA 420) and Rolling Road, though Rolling Road is actually a block north of the tracks. A school and athletic field exists at the end of that intersection. Trolleys arriving at this station travel between 69th Street Terminal in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania and Orange Street in Media, Pennsylvania. The station has a shed with a roof on the south side of the tracks where people can go inside when it is raining. Like the Providence Road stop in Media, a storage track begins northeast of Woodland Avenue across from the station shed that eventually becomes the second track. Part of the reason for the single track is because the Crum Creek Bridge in Smedley Park only carries one track.

Rolling Green Golf Club is a William Flynn designed golf course located in Springfield Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Founded to be a "golf club meant for golfers", Rolling Green has always proudly been a golf-only facility, without country club frivolities such as tennis or swimming. It opened for play in 1926. Rolling Green was ranked the 9th best golf course in Pennsylvania by Golf.com.

Drexelbrook station is a SEPTA Route 101 trolley stop in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. It is officially located near Stanbridge Road and Woodland Avenue in the Drexelbrook area, however the actual grade crossing and platforms are on Wildell Road south of Woodland Avenue and north of Revere Road and Drexelbrook Drive. Trolleys arriving at this station travel between 69th Street Terminal in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania and Orange Street in Media, Pennsylvania. The station has a shed with a roof where people can go inside when it is raining on one platform and a bench on the other. No parking is available at this station.

Collen Brook Farm, also known as Collenbrook, is a historic home and associated buildings located in Upper Darby, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The complex includes three contributing buildings: a farmhouse, a granite spring house (c. 1782), and stone and frame carriage house (c. 1870). The house is a 2+1⁄2-story, vernacular stone residence with a Georgian plan and consisting of three sections. The oldest section was built around 1700, with additions made in 1774, and 1794. It was the home of noted educator and political leader George Smith (1804–1882).It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.The 18th-century period farmhouse house is owned by the Upper Darby Historical Society and open to the public on Sunday afternoons from May through October.
