New Caledonian Wharf is a luxury gated community in the Rotherhithe area of London on the River Thames. The site was originally part of the Surrey Docks and known as Redriff Wharf, and served as a commercial wharf until the 1970s.

Odessa Wharf is an early 19th-century warehouse located on the south bank of the River Thames at Rotherhithe, London. The warehouse has been converted into apartments and townhouses, some of which are operated as holiday lets by Odessa Club Management with the remainder as private residences. It is situated directly on the Thames Path national trail, north of Greenland Dock, with distinctive timber box "lanterns" on its roof.

Surrey Docks Farm is a working city farm in the heart of London. It occupies a 2.2-acre (8,900 m2) site on the south bank of the River Thames in Rotherhithe.

Greenland Pier is a pier on the River Thames in London, United Kingdom. It is situated at the eastern end of Greenland Dock in the London Borough of Southwark, and is a stop on the Thames commuter catamaran service.

Earl's Sluice is an underground river in south-east London, England. Its source is Ruskin Park on Denmark Hill. In South Bermondsey it is joined by the River Peck before emptying into the Thames at Deptford Wharf. Earl's Creek marks the boundary between St Mary's parish, Rotherhithe and St Paul's parish, Deptford and their successors the London Borough of Southwark and the London Borough of Lewisham. It also marks the boundary between the historic counties of Kent and Surrey. The river is named after the Earl of Gloucester in the time of Henry I.

South Dock is one of two surviving docks in the former Surrey Commercial Docks in Rotherhithe, London, England. It was built in 1807–1811 just south of the larger Greenland Dock, to which it is connected by a channel now known as Greenland Cut; it also has a lock giving access to the River Thames. Originally named the East Country Dock, it was renamed in 1850 when the Surrey Commercial Dock Company purchased and enlarged it. Timber and grain were the main products imported and exported in the dock.

Swedish Quays at 1–95 Rope Street, London, is a group of flats and houses that is Grade II listed with Historic England. It was built between 1986 and 1990 and designed by David Price and Gordon Cullen.

The Rotherhithe crossing is a proposed route for pedestrians and cyclists across the River Thames in London, England between Rotherhithe and Canary Wharf. A bridge was first proposed at this location by Sustrans in 2008. The construction contract was awarded to Atkins in 2018 and a vertical lift bridge design was selected in 2019. The project was paused in June of that year for budgetary reasons, Transport for London describing the construction of an opening bridge at the site as "complex" and unaffordable at that time. In July 2019 TFL made the decision to no longer progress a walking and cycling bridge between Rotherhithe and Canary Wharf due to costs and affordability, TfL has been carrying out further work to develop a more affordable proposal for a ferry crossing.

The Surrey Commercial Docks were a large group of docks in Rotherhithe, South East London, located on the south bank (the Surrey side) of the River Thames. The docks operated in one form or another from 1696 to 1969. Most were subsequently filled in and redeveloped for residential housing, and the area is now known as Surrey Quays, although the name Surrey Docks is retained for the electoral ward.

Deptford Wharf in London, UK is situated on the Thames Path southeast of South Dock Marina, across the culverted mouth of the Earl's Sluice and north of Aragon Tower. In the late 18th and early 19th century this area was used for shipbuilding with several building slips. With the coming of the railway in 1848 Deptford wharf and docks were used to import coal and for other goods. The housing here, completed in 1992, is on the site of former railway sidings and riverside wharves.

Sir John McDougall Gardens is a grassed and wooded area along the River Thames on the Isle of Dogs in London, England. It houses a playground, an outdoor gym and a Thames-side path. It covers just over 6 acres (2.4 ha), between the River Thames and Westferry Road.The park is named after Sir John McDougall, a local member of the London County Council (LCC) in the 1900s. He was a flour miller and owned a nearby mill, the Wheatsheaf Mill, demolished in 1980. Sir John McDougall Gardens was opened in 1968, on a site left in ruins by the bombing of Docklands in World War II. Local children were involved in the original planting of trees. A footbridge across Westferry Road was completed in 1969 to link it directly to the large Barkantine Estate of social housing.The park was re-modelled in the 1980s by the London Docklands Development Corporation when the ground level was bought up to the top of the river wall to allow a view of the River Thames.
