Palazzo Emo at Maddalena

La Maddalena (Italian: Santa Maria Maddalena in Cannaregio, usually referred to simply as La Maddalena) is a church in Venice, Italy, in the sestiere of Cannaregio. A religious edifice is known in the site as early as 1222, owned by the Balbo patrician family. When, in the mid-14th century, the Venetian Senate established a public holiday for Mary Magdalene's feast, it was decided to enlarge the church, including a watchtower which was turned into a bell tower. The church was restored in the early 18th century, but in 1780 it was entirely rebuilt under design by Tommaso Temanza, with a circular plan inspired by the Pantheon in Rome. The bell tower was demolished in 1888. The most notable feature is the portal, with masonic symbols over the door (probably connected to the Balbo's membership in the Knights Templar). The interior has an hexagonal plan with four side chapels and a presbytery. Outside the apse is a 15th-century basrelief of the Madonna with Child.

San Stae is a church in central Venice, in the sestiere of Santa Croce. San Stae, an abbreviation for Saint Eustachius, was founded at the beginning of the 11th century and reconstructed in the 17th century, and has a main facade (1709) on the Grand Canal of Venice, constructed by Domenico Rossi, and richly decorated with statuary by Giuseppe Torretto, Antonio Tarsia, Pietro Baratta, and Antonio Corradini. The interior has a tomb for the Mocenigo family. The right wall contains altars with works by Niccolò Bambini, Giuseppe Camerata, and Antonio Balestra. The three chapels on the left house works by Giuseppe Torretto, Pietro Baratta, Francesco Migliori, and Jacopo Amigoni. The roof of the presbytery has a ceiling decorated with a large canvas by Bartolomeo Letterini, while the walls have canvases by Giuseppe Angeli and small canvases dedicated to the Apostles, including a Martyrdom of St. Bartholemew (1721) (right lower) by a young Giambattista Tiepolo; The Martyrdom of Saint Thomas by Giambattista Pittoni, a Martyrdom of St. James the Greater by Giambattista Piazzetta; and a Liberation of St. Peter by Sebastiano Ricci (left lower). The sacristy contains a Death of Christ by Pietro della Vecchia and a Trajan orders Sant'Eustachio to pray to the idols by Giambattista Pittoni.

Palazzo Duodo is a Gothic-style palace on the Canal Grande, located between the Ca' Tron and the Palazzo Priuli Bon, in the sestiere of Santa Croce, in Venice, Italy. There is a second Palazzo Duodo a Campo Sant'Angelo. The palace was built in the 15th century. In 1712 it was let to Marchese Orazio Lancilotti, and in 1740 there were several tenants. In 1808 it belonged to Carlo Duodo of S. Maria Zobenigo

Ca' Tron is a palace in Venice, northern Italy, facing the Canal Grande. Part of the sestiere (quarter) of Santa Croce, it is situated between the Palazzo Belloni Battagia and Palazzo Duodo, near the church of San Stae. It is owned by the Università Iuav di Venezia and houses the Department of Design and Planning in Complex Environments. The palace was rebuilt in the late 16th century to the design of an unknown architect influenced by Jacopo Sansovino as the residence of the Tron family, who lived here until their extinction in the 19th century. The Tron had lived in this parish from the time of the start of the Patriciate. The family produced one Doge, Niccolo Tron in 1471, and nearly a half dozen procurators, and many other Venetian statesmen and generals. Maximilian, Elector of Bavaria, stayed here in 1684; and in 1775 Andrea Tron entertained the Emperor Joseph II with a magnificent ball. Senator Francesco Tron, grandson of Andrea, died here in 1793. In the 19th century the palace nearly fell into ruin.It has been owned by the Università Iuav di Venezia since 1972.

Santa Fosca is a church in the sestiere of Cannaregio of Venezia, Italy. Adjacent to the Strada Nova, it faces the campo of Santa Fosca. The church is named after, and dedicated to, the child saint Fusca of Ravenna. On the campo stands the monument with a bronze statue of Paolo Sarpi, who was reported to have been stabbed here by papal mercenaries. Documents attest to a church of this name dating to the 10th century. The present building dates to reconstructions beginning in the 18th century. The facade (1733-1741), designed by Domenico Rossi, was built with the patronage of the patrician Donà family. That family once occupied the adjacent Palazzo Giovanelli. The church now belongs to the parish of San Marcuola. The interior has a Trinity and the Virgin by Filippo Bianchi; while the Life of Santa Fosca altarpieces were painted by Francesco Migliori. This church should be distinguished from the older small church of Santa Fosca, Torcello, attached to the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta.

Palazzo Belloni Battagia (also spelled Palazzo Belloni Battaglia) is a palace on the Canal Grande, Venice, northern Italy. It is located in the sestiere (district) of Santa Croce, between the Fondaco del Megio and Ca' Tron, near the church of San Stae.It was built in the mid-17th century, possibly to a design by Baldassarre Longhena, as the residence of the Belloni family.

Palazzetto da Lezze is a small Gothic palace located in Venice, Italy, in the Cannaregio district and overlooking the Grand Canal at the mouth of the Rio di Noale. The palazzetto is situated between the Palazzo Boldù a San Felice and the Casa Gussoni Grimani della Vida, opposite the Ca' Pesaro.

Palazzo Diedo is a historic building in Venice, located in the Cannaregio district and constructed in the early 18th century. In 2022, it was acquired by Nicolas Berggruen, who designated it as the headquarters of Berggruen Arts & Culture, a cultural center dedicated to exploring the intersections between visual art and contemporary culture, closely connected with Venice’s ancient crafts.

The Fondaco del Megio (Venetian, also Fontego; Italian: Fondaco del miglio, lit. 'fondaco of millet') is a palace in the sestiere (quarter]) of Santa Croce in Venice, northern Italy. Located near the Palazzo Belloni Battagia and the Fondaco dei Turchi, it faces the Canal Grande and is opposed to the church of San Marcuola of Cannaregio. It was built in the 13th century as a grain depot, but later was used to store millet, maintaining this function until the fall of the Republic of Venice in 1797. It currently houses an elementary school. The palace is built in brickwork. There are three portals at the ground floor and thirteen small windows. Decorations include a row of merlons at the top, and a basrelief with the Lion of St. Mark (a modern reconstruction of the original, which was placed on every public building of the Republic).

The Ca' Pesaro is a Baroque marble palace turned art museum, facing the Grand Canal of Venice, Italy. Today it is one of the 11 museums run by the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia system. The building was originally designed by Baldassarre Longhena in the mid-17th century, the construction was completed by Gian Antonio Gaspari in 1710. As at Longhena's Ca' Rezzonico, a double order of colossal columns and colonnettes flanking arch-headed windows, reinterpreting a motif of Jacopo Sansovino, Longhena creates the impression of double loggias extending across the main Grand Canal frontage, above a boldly rusticated basement.

Palazzo Corner della Regina, commonly known as Ca' Corner della Regina, is a Baroque-style palace in the Sestiere Santa Croce of the city of Venice, Italy. In the English language, the title conforms with Palace of the Queen from the "Corner (or Cornaro) Family"; it is so named because Caterina Cornaro, who became Queen of Cyprus by marriage, was born to this family and at this site in 1454. The palace is located on the Grand Canal, near Ca' Pesaro, and between Ca' Favretto and Palazzo Correggio. The opposite structure is Palazzo Contarini Pisani.

The Fondaco dei Turchi (Venetian: Fontego dei Turchi, Turkish: Türk Hanı) is a Veneto-Gothic style palazzo, later on named as the Turks' Inn, on the Grand Canal of Venice, northeast Italy. It was described by Augustus Hare in the 19th century as "a Byzantine palace of the 9th century, and one of the earliest buildings, not ecclesiastical, in Venice. .... A few years ago it was one of the most unique and curious buildings in Europe, and the most important specimen of Italo-Byzantine architecture, but it was modernised and almost rebuilt by the ... government in 1869".
