Deutsche Internationale Schule Zagreb (DISZ, Croatian: Njemačka međunarodna škola u Zagrebu) is a German international school in Zagreb, Croatia. It serves kindergarten, grundschule, and gymasium leading up to Abitur.It is a part of the EuroCampus Zagreb, with the École française de Zagreb. The EuroCampus opened on September 1, 2005.

The Zagreb School of Economics and Management (Croatian: Zagrebačka škola ekonomije i managementa, abbreviated as ZŠEM) is a private business school located in Zagreb, Croatia. Founded in 2002, ZŠEM provides undergraduate and graduate education in economics, management, finance, marketing, and accounting. ZŠEM has been voted the best business school in Croatia for five consecutive years, most recently in 2012, and is Croatia's largest private institution of higher education. In 2013, the Zagreb School of Economics and Management became the first business school in Croatia to receive AACSB accreditation.

The Ruđer Bošković Institute (RBI; Croatian: Institut Ruđer Bošković, pronounced [instǐtuːt rûd͡ʑɛr bɔ̂ʃkɔʋit͡ɕ], IRB) is a research institute located in the Šalata neighborhood of Zagreb, Croatia, founded in 1950, which studies the sciences.

Remete is a neighbourhood in the northeast of Zagreb, Croatia, within the Maksimir district. The area of the local city council of Remete has a population of 5,923 (census 2021). The old village of Remete was known since the Middle Ages, especially for its Marian shrine, today known as the Shrine of the Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary of Remete. At the time, it attracted even more pilgrims than the shrine in Marija Bistrica. Remete was integrated into the city of Zagreb in 1949.

Lašćina is a neighbourhood in the northeast of Zagreb, Croatia, within the Maksimir district. The toponym comes from the word vlast, lit. 'power, authority'. The area is administratively split between the local city councils of "Dinko Šimunović", which has a population of 3,623 (census 2021), and the local city council of Dobri Dol with a population of 4,259 (census 2021). Lašćina was integrated into the city of Zagreb in the latter half of the 20th century. The council "Dinko Šimunović" was named in 2009, after the writer Dinko Šimunović. The central street of the area is the Lašćinska cesta, stretching between Mirogoj in the north and Maksimirska cesta near Kvaternik Square in the south. The University Hospital Centre Zagreb Rebro campus is located in the Mijo Kišpatić street in this neighbourhood. A prominent street in the neighbourhood is Jordanovac, which continues south into the local council Mašićeva near the XV Gymnasium. The student housing Lašćina of the University of Zagreb, the Clinical Hospital Merkur, the Vuk Vrhovac University Clinic and the Children's hospital Srebrnjak are also located in the neighbourhood.

The Archdiocesan Classic Gymnasium (Croatian: Nadbiskupska klasična gimnazija s pravom javnosti, often referred to by the abbreviation NKG) is a Catholic high school located on 106 Voćarska Road in the neighborhood of Šalata in Zagreb, Croatia. The school implements a program highlighting the classical culture and history, having students learn the Latin and the Ancient Greek. The school promotes Catholicism and serves as a public preparatory school for the Interdiocesan Boys' Seminary, a seminary for future Catholic priests located in the same building complex.

Croatian Catholic Radio (Croatian: Hrvatski katolički radio, HKR) is a non-profit Croatian radio station with a statewide concession. The founder and owner of the radio station is the Croatian Bishops' Conference. The station started broadcasting on May 17, 1997 when it was blessed by the Cardinal Franjo Kuharić, then president of the Croatian Bishops' Conference.

Šalata (pronounced [ʃaˈlata]) is an upper-class residential neighborhood in Zagreb, Croatia. It is administratively part of the Gornji Grad - Medveščak city district in the northern part of Zagreb and it has a population of 1,929.Šalata houses the Šalata Sport and Recreation Center (ŠRC Šalata) and the University Hospital Centre Zagreb (KBC Zagreb). The neighborhood is located east of Medveščak Road, the main thoroughfare of its parent city district, on the gentle slopes of the Medvednica. Due to its hilly nature, Šalata is approximately 40 to 70 meters (130 to 230 ft) above downtown Zagreb.The residents of Šalata are close to almost all major events outside the neighborhoods due to their proximity to both the old city cores of Gornji Grad and Kaptol, and the current center, Donji Grad. Šalata is praised for great views of the city because of its higher altitude in relation to the rest of the city and its position on some of the southernmost hills of Medvednica. Due to these factors, real estate in Šalata is relatively expensive compared with other districts, which made it become home to many influential people from the political, musical and sports scene in Croatia.

On 31 October 1954, in Zagreb, Croatia, a tram accident happened on Mirogoj Road, a steep road leading from Medveščak Street to Mirogoj Cemetery. A tram lost control during descent and crashed, killing 19 passengers, while 37 were injured, making this one of the worst tram accidents in the world.

The Military Ordinariate of Croatia (Croatian: Vojni ordinarijat u Republici Hrvatskoj) is a military ordinariate of the Roman Catholic Church. Immediately subject to the Holy See, it provides pastoral care to Roman Catholics serving in the Croatian Armed Forces and their families.
