John Phifer Farm

Waddle–Click Farm is a historic home and farm complex located near Statesville, Iredell County, North Carolina. The Federal style house was built between about 1820 and 1835, and is a two-story, three bay by two bay, log dwelling. Also on the property are a contributing well house, smokehouse, log slave cabin, granary / corn crib, hay barn / stable, and a shed.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Farmville Plantation is a historic plantation house located near the historic location, called Elmwood south of Statesville in Iredell County, North Carolina. It consists of two Federal style houses. The main house was built about 1818, and is a two-story, three bay by two bay, brick dwelling with a two-story entrance portico. The house is also known as the Joseph Chambers house or Darshana. The main house has a low gable roof and one-story rear shed porch. Attached to it by a breezeway is a smaller two-story, three bay by two bay stuccoed brick dwelling. The house was restored in the 1960s.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

By the requirements of the North Carolina Constitution of 1868, all counties in North Carolina were divided into townships.Geographically, Scotch Irish Township occupies 35.22 square miles (91.2 km2) in northwestern Rowan County. There are no incorporated municipalities in Scotch Irish Township. The township's northern boundary is the South Yadkin River and borders with Davie County and its western border is with Cool Springs Township, Iredell County. Residents are served by the Rowan–Salisbury School System.

Knox-Johnstone House, also known as Ben Allen Knox House, is a historic home located near Cleveland, Rowan County, North Carolina. It was built about 1880, and is a two-story weatherboarded frame farmhouse with Italianate-style finish. It has a projecting center, entrance bay, and a nearly full-facade porch. Also on the property is the contributing large bell-cast gambrel roof barn dated to the 1930s.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Knox Farm Historic District is a historic farm complex and national historic district located near Cleveland, Rowan County, North Carolina. The Robert Knox House was built between 1854 and 1856, and is a two-story, single-pile, three-bay vernacular Greek Revival style frame dwelling. It has a two-story rear ell, one-story rear kitchen ell. Its builder James Graham also built the Jacob Barber House and the Hall Family House. Other contributing resources are the log corn crib, reaper shed (c. 1870-1880), power plan (c. 1945), chicken house (c. 1930), brooder house (c. 1930), log smokehouse, barn (c. 1839-1845), main barn (1916), milking parlor (1948), spring house (18th century), tenant house (1920), and Knox Chapel Methodist Church (1870s).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

R.A. Clement School is a historic school located at Cleveland, Rowan County, North Carolina. The H-shaped brick building was built in 1929 as a Rosenwald school. Rufus Alexander Clement, born a slave in 1847, helped to get the school built along with his wife Emma. Four teachers taught African-American students in eleven grades. For the twelfth grade students went to J. C. Price High School in Salisbury. The school closed in 1968, after which a group later known as West Rowan Neighborhood Center Advisory Council bought the building and made it a community center. Eventually, the advisory council could not keep the property, which stood empty until 2003 when the alumni association purchased it and started renovations.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places January 10, 2019.

Christ Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal church complex located near Cleveland, Rowan County, North Carolina, USA. The complex includes the 1826-1827 gable-front vernacular Gothic Revival- and American Craftsman-style brick veneered, heavy timber frame chapel; a 1926 Craftsman-style parish house attached to the original building by an open brick arcaded breezeway; and a historic cemetery.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

The house was designated a post office in 1822. Also on the property are the contributing log smokehouse, large barn (c. 1898), "lighthouse" or Delco house (c. 1917), corn crib (c. 1917), gear house (c. 1917), woodhouse (c. 1917), spring house, mill site, shop, and plantation office.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
