The H. Alden Smith House is a former mansion located within the Harmon Place Historic District near downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. Designed in the Richardsonian Romanesque style by architect William Channing Whitney, it was completed in 1887 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. The house is the sole remnant of the Harmon Place mansion district, an elite residential neighborhood that existed between the 1880s and 1920s.

Gai Noi is a Laotian restaurant by chef Ann Ahmed in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Established in May 2023, the business was included in The New York Times's 2023 list of the 50 best restaurants in the United States. The name is short for "khao gai noi, the short grain rice used to make sticky rice" and is "commonly known as 'little chick' because it’s spotted and small."

Loring Park is the largest park in the Central Community of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Located on the southwest corner of downtown Minneapolis, it also lends its name to the surrounding neighborhood.

The Swinford Townhouses and Apartments are a development of townhouses and apartments in the Loring Park neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. Both buildings are located in an area that surrounded the once-elegant Hawthorne Park. The townhomes were built first, in 1886 by Hodgson & Sons in the Second Empire style, using red brick, stone, and terra cotta. The apartments were designed in 1897 by locally prominent architect Harry Wild Jones, who preferred an eclectic style. The building is four stories tall, built of red brick and stone, and features a corner bay. They were built by Anthony Kelly, a nineteenth-century businessman who pioneered the wholesale grocery business in Minneapolis. Both the townhouses and the apartments were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. The apartments are now incorporated in the Laurel Village development.

The Basilica of Saint Mary is a Roman Catholic minor basilica located on its own city block along Hennepin Avenue between 16th & 17th Streets in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was the first basilica established in the United States. The Basilica of Saint Mary is the co-cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.

The Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas is an organization dedicated to serving as the public affairs voice of the local Jewish communities of Minnesota and the Dakotas. The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) fights anti-Semitism and prejudice, advocates for Israel, provides Holocaust education, promotes tolerance and social justice, and builds bridges across the Jewish and broader communities.

110 Grant Apartments is a 303-ft (101 m) tall skyscraper in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was constructed from 1983–1985 and has 34 floors. It is the 28th tallest building in Minneapolis.

Loring Greenway is a 1,500-foot linear pedestrian greenway in downtown Minneapolis that connects Nicollet Mall with Loring Park. It was designed by landscape architect M. Paul Friedberg, who also designed Peavey Plaza near the Nicollet Mall end of the greenway. Opened in 1979, it was part of the Loring Park Development District that razed older properties, created the adjacent Hyatt hotel and built new surrounding multi-family apartment and townhouse buildings in the Loring Park neighborhood. Now approximately 2,500 housing units flank the greenway spine. Originally retail businesses were planned to line the greenway, but private development focused on residential, and the small commercial spaces never materialized. The greenway is noted on a historic marker in a series along the north side of West Grant Street between LaSalle and Nicollet.Larry Millett called the greenway "the most notable public amenity" in the Loring Park Development District. In the book Intown Living: A Different American Dream, authors Ann Breen and Dick Rigby highlighted the contrast of the lush greenway and its quiet with the "hard-edged" and relatively treeless Nicollet Mall.The Modernist style greenway includes two fountains, one at the Nicollet Mall entrance and one halfway along the greenway. The public space also includes seating areas and a playground and is lighted at night with custom distinctive lights. Part of the greenway includes a land bridge over Lasalle Avenue. The greenway connects Nicollet Mall with Loring Park and ends at the site of the Berger dandelion fountain in the park, which was envisioned as the terminus of the greenway. Two extensions from the greenway connect to Spruce Place and 13th Street. The Nicollet Mall entrance to the greenway hosts George Morrison's "Tableau," a granite pavement mosaic, part of the public art on Nicollet Mall. This work was moved to the location by the greenway after being in two other locations on Nicollet Mall; the greenway entrance was thought to be lesser impact on the art work. Friedberg intended for the greenway to be like a procession and wished for it to be a community of people living along it. In an interview with Charles Birnbaum in 2006, Friedberg described it as "We're in this together. This is how you get to the park. That's the event. This is the procession to the event. There are minor events, and make use of it. That's what we want you to do. You're part of a city."The greenway has high pedestrian counts according to regular counts done by the city. In 2018, the mall end of the greenway had 2,850 estimated daily pedestrians and 410 bicyclists.

The Southwest Journal is an American, English language free community paper covering 21 neighborhoods in Southwest Minneapolis. It is family owned and was founded in 1990. It covers the following neighborhoods:

Eitel Hospital (later renamed "Doctors Memorial Hospital") is a former hospital building in Minneapolis, Minnesota, located across from Loring Park. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building is a brick building primarily in the Classical Revival style, made plainer when its original cornice was removed.

The University of St. Thomas School of Law is one of the professional graduate schools of University of St. Thomas in Minnesota, United States. It is one of three law schools in Minneapolis–Saint Paul. It currently enrolls 434 students. St. Thomas Law is accredited by the American Bar Association. It is also a member of The Association of American Law Schools. The University of St. Thomas School of Law is the second highest ranked law school in Minnesota amongst the state's three law schools. Founded in 1999, the School of Law graduated its first class in 2004.

The Northwestern National Life Insurance Company Home Office, was also known as the Loring Park Office Building, and is now a 75 unit boutique apartment complex known as 430 Oak Grove located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was designed by the architecture firm of Hewitt and Brown in the Beaux-Arts style as the headquarters of the Northwestern National Life Insurance Company. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 16, 2012.
