It was built in 1929–1930, and is a two-story, reinforced concrete building with a red brick veneer and decorative concrete detailing and Art Deco design elements. The building has a rectangular plan measuring 110 feet by 185 feet, parapet, and Coca-Cola bottles, sculpted of precast concrete, which crown the corner pilasters.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

It is the home facility and headquarters of the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League and Charlotte FC of Major League Soccer. The stadium opened in 1996 as Ericsson Stadium, with Swedish telecom company LM Ericsson initially holding the naming rights. In 2004, Charlotte-based financial services company Bank of America purchased the naming rights under a 20-25-year agreement at $140 million. Former Panthers president Danny Morrison called it a "classic American stadium" due to its bowl design and other features.In addition to the Panthers and CLTFC, the stadium hosts the annual Duke's Mayo Bowl, which features teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and either the Southeastern Conference (SEC) or the Big Ten Conference. The stadium was planned to host the annual ACC Championship Game through at least 2019; the game was moved in 2016 but reinstated in 2017. The ACC announced on May 19, 2022, that Bank of America Stadium would continue to host the championship through at least the 2030 season. The largest crowd to ever attend a football game at the stadium was on September 9, 2018, when 74,532 fans watched the Panthers defeat the Dallas Cowboys 16–8.

The district encompasses 335 contributing buildings in the former streetcar suburb of Wesley Heights. It was developed after 1911 and includes notable examples of Bungalow / American Craftsman, Colonial Revival, and Tudor Revival style architecture. Notable buildings include the Wesley Heights Methodist Episcopal Church (now Greater Bethel A. M. E. Church) designed by architect Louis H. Asbury, St. Mark's Baptist Church (formerly St. Andrew's Episcopal Church), Bomar Apartments (1928), and the Wadsworth House (1911) and Catawba Apartments also designed by Louis H. Asbury.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

It is a three-story, ten-bay wide by-five-bay deep, red brick structure with a full basement. It has large rectangular windows and pine post-and-beam interior framing. The building housed the Textile Mill Supply Company that sold and distributed supplies essential to the operations of textile mills in the Piedmont sections of the Carolinas.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

A statue of Jerry Richardson was installed outside Charlotte, North Carolina's Bank of America Stadium in 2016. Richardson, the former owner of the National Football League's Carolina Panthers, was involved in a controversy involving allegedly sexist behavior prior to selling the team. The statue was removed from Bank of America Stadium in June 2020 for fear it would be destroyed by protestors.

It was built in 1929–1930, and consists of a two-story office building and massive tall, one-story Grinnell manufacturing building. The office building is a reinforced concrete structure, with a brick veneer, a flat roof, and a parapet capped in concrete coping. The manufacturing building has a poured concrete slab foundation, brick veneered walls, a steel framing system consisting of I-beam piers and heavy Pratt truss roof, banks of continuous, steel sash windows, and large, sawtooth monitors. The complex was built for the largest manufacturer of automatic sprinklers and other fire protection products in North America.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

The building sat on a full basement and was designed by the architecture firm Lockwood, Greene and Company. It has been demolished It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
