Rambergsvallen

Nya Rambergsvallen, currently known as Bravida Arena for sponsorship reasons, and as Hisingen Arena for UEFA competitions, is an association football stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden. The project was initiated by Allsvenskan side BK Häcken and Gothenburg Municipality to build a new 6,000 to 7,000 capacity stadium in the Hisingen area of Gothenburg, Sweden.

Ramberget (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈrâmːˌbærjɛt]; English: "Raven Hill") is a mountain on Hisingen island in Gothenburg, Sweden. The surrounding area and park is called Keillers Park. Ramberget is a popular tourist attraction and a place for outdoor recreation for Gothenburg residents, with walking paths, lookouts over the city of Gothenburg and artworks. Ramberget is with its highest point 87 metres (282 ft) above sea level, with a lower second point called Ättestupan. There is a road for cars going to the top of Ramberget. The park is about 31 hectares. Ramberget got its characteristic shape already during the Ice Age 12,000 years ago. The northeast slope is flat while the south side has a higher cliff that is clearly visible from the river. The ice sheet has left traces both in the rock faces and through boulders in the area. Ramberget got its name of the old Swedish word "ram" which means raven. Ravens are still nesting on Ramberget. Until the early 1800s, when it wood was still widely used as fuel, there were no trees on Ramberget which instead was covered with heather, later replanting made the wood grow back and today there is a lush vegetation of beech, larch, pine and oaks. Most of the north shore of the river, including the area around Ramberget, was owned in the early 1900s by the Keiller family. Alexander Keiller, who came to Gothenburg from Scotland, had in the 1840s started a mechanical workshop that would later evolve into shipbuilding group Götaverken. During the recession of the 1860s, however, the company went into bankruptcy and after reorganization was Alexander's son James Keiller new manager. After some setbacks, including a severe fire in 1898, so James decided to pull back from the shops. 1906, he sold almost all of the business and in the same time he donated the area around Ramberget to the city, with the condition that the area would be used and remain a natural park. The deed of gift is that only buildings that are "for the park's care or the visiting public homelike" may be erected, with the exception of water reservoirs. Keiller Park was designed in a National Romantic style, partly by Eugen Thorburn who also designed Kungsportsbron in central Gothenburg. The park was inaugurated Oct. 3, 1908. The Göteborg Mosque is located at the foot of Ramberget.

Lindholmen (literally "The Linden Tree Island") is a former island in the Göta Älv river, now part of the larger island of Hisingen. Lindholmen was not attached to Hisingen until 1864, or perhaps even later, and the western part of the channel separating the two islands is preserved in the form of the inlet Sannegårdshamnen, which now functions as a marina.In the Middle Ages, Lindholmen was the site of Lindholmen Castle, which was briefly an important royal residence during the reign of Magnus IV of Sweden. Later, in the nineteenth century, the Lindholmen shipyard was located in the area.

Karlatornet is a skyscraper under construction by Serneke in Lindholmen in Gothenburg, Sweden. When finished, it will be 246 meters high, with 74 floors above ground. The building's architect firm is Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, and it is being built by Serneke Group AB. It is planned to be finished in 2024. When completed, it will reach 246 meters tall (804 ft), and will be the tallest building in the Nordic countries. On 22 September 2022, the tower reached this milestone at 193 meters, officially surpassing Turning Torso in Malmö.Karlatornet is one out of 9 buildings that will be parts of the Karlastaden complex. Gothenburg Mosque (Swedish: Göteborgs moské) is a mosque located at the foot of Ramberget on Hisingen in Gothenburg, Sweden. The construction of the mosque was entirely funded by Saudi Arabia and is run by the Swedish Muslim Foundation (SMS). It was inaugurated 16 June 2011.The mosque cost 67 million Swedish krona to build and is 2000 square meters. The construction of the mosque has been met with demonstrations from right-wing activists. The Saudi finance minister Dr. Abu Rachman al Seid said on the inauguration that "we do this out of kindness - and because we can afford it". The board members of the mosque and Saudi refused to be interviewed by reports from the Swedish investigative journalism television program Uppdrag Granskning in conjunction with the inauguration.The imam Sheikh Abdul Rashid Mohamed was trained in Saudi Arabia. In a 2013 Swedish Television interview with hidden camera he stated that polygamy is allowed under certain conditions and that wives cannot refuse to have sex with their husbands unless they were ill. Chairman Ahmed Al-Mofty stated in a follow-up interview with Göteborgs-Posten that Rashid had advised what Islamic tradition is and that his advice was not legally binding.The building is designed by Björn Sahlqvist, who wanted to design a mosque with a Scandinavian touch with a lot of light and space. There is a silent square minaret and prayer rooms for men and women, conference rooms, offices, lecture halls, kitchen and an ablution area.

Backa Theatre (Swedish: Backa Teater) is a youth theater located in Gothenburg, Sweden. It focuses on producing theater for children and their families. The theater was founded in 1978 by director Eva Bergman and actor Ulf Dohlsten as part of Gothenburg City Theatre. It is now led by playwright, director Carl Mattias Andersson, who himself has background as an actor at Backa Theatre. The company has had the privilege to set up newly written plays, for example In a dark and northern place which was written by Mattias Andersson. The theatre moved into new premises on Gothenburg's northern riverbank during autumn 2007.

The Chalmers Lindholmen University College or Chalmers Lindholmen was a university college, and an affiliate of Chalmers University of Technology, located in Gothenburg, Sweden. The campus is located at Lindholmen on the island Hisingen. As of 2005, Chalmers Lindholmen no longer exists as a separate organisation. Campus Lindholmen is now one of Chalmers' two campuses.

Lindholmen Science Park is a science park dedicated to research and development in mobile communication, intelligent vehicles and transports systems, and modern media industry, located in Lindholmen Gothenburg, Sweden. Chalmers University of Technology, the University of Gothenburg, and the IT University of Göteborg collaborate with high tech industries and the local community in different development projects. Currently 250 companies with 24,000 employees are active at Lindholmen, the biggest companies are Volvo Cars, Volvo Technology, Ericsson, IBM, Semcon, and SVT. Campus Lindholmen has 10,000 university students, scientists, and teachers. Several gymnasiums are also located in the vicinity. The main operators of Lindholmen Science Park are Gothenburg Municipality, Chalmers University of Technology, the University of Gothenburg, Volvo Group, Ericsson, Volvo Cars, Business Region Göteborg, TeliaSonera, Saab, and the Swedish Road Administration.

The Lundby Old Church (Swedish: Lundby gamla kyrka) is a church in Lundby, a borough of Gothenburg, Sweden. It belongs to the parish of Lundby in the Diocese of Gothenburg. It is one of the seven preserved medieval churches in Gothenburg, and the only one of them representing Gothic architecture. It originates from the 14th century, but the bell tower had not been erected until 1634. The church has been renovated many times, most recently in 1998.The coats of arms of the noble families Cronacker, Eketrä, Stålhandske and Ihre can be found in the church. The Stålhandske and Ihre families built their own grave chapels at the southern wall; the Ihre chapel is still preserved today, while the Stålhandske chapel was torn down and the coffins were moved to the family grave in the surrounding churchyard.

China Euro Vehicle Technology AB, abbreviated CEVT, is a European automotive research and development centre owned by Chinese automaker Zhejiang Geely Holding Group. The company is located at the Geely Innovation Centre, in a 100,000 square meter building called Uni3 in Lindholmen district of Gothenburg, Sweden.

The municipally-owned Port of Gothenburg (Swedish: Göteborgs hamn) is the largest port in the Nordic countries, with over 11,000 ship visits per year from over 140 destinations worldwide. As the only Swedish port with the capacity to cope with the very largest modern, ocean-going container ships, Gothenburg handles nearly 30% of the country's foreign trade, comprising 39 million tonnes of freight per year.

Gothenburg Municipality (Göteborgs kommun or Göteborgs stad) is a municipality in Västra Götaland County in western Sweden. Its seat is located in the city of Gothenburg. When the first Swedish local government acts were implemented in 1863 the City of Gothenburg, founded and chartered in 1621, became a city municipality with an elected city council (stadsfullmäktige). Its territory has since then been added through amalgamations in 1868, 1906, 1922, 1931, 1945, 1948, 1967 and 1974. The local government reform of 1971 made the city a unitary municipality, like all others in the country. The municipality prefers, however, to style itself Göteborgs stad (City of Göteborg), whenever legally possible. In March 2018 it was reported that the municipality and municipality-owned companies had 236 employees working with public relations (Swedish: kommunikation), more than Stockholm, to a cost of 400 000 SEK daily or 151 million SEK annually.
