It holds exhibits on Jewish life in Brazil and a collection of over 2,000 items brought over by immigrants to Brazil. The museum's building originated in 1928 as a Byzantine-style synagogue and was lent out to the museum in 2004. Extensive renovations were completed over the course of 17 years, and the museum opened in 2021.

Beth-El Synagogue (Portuguese: Sinagoga Beth-El) is a synagogue in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. Built in 1929, the synagogue has the distinction of being the first synagogue building in São Paulo. Consecrated in December 1929, construction of the temple was financed by a number of Jewish families in São Paulo and organized by Salomão Klabin. The synagogue's architecture is notable as the building has seven sides. Today, the synagogue hosts religious services while the building houses the Jewish Museum of São Paulo, which is dedicated to promoting local Jewish culture and history. While the building was consecrated in 1929, religious services were first held in the building in 1932.Today, Beth-El Synagogue affiliates with an inclusive and pluralist form of Judaism and welcome people from different backgrounds. The foundation of the synagogue in 1926 represents the communities historical roots in the community.

Escola da Cidade (lit. City School) is a private, not-for-profit institution of higher learning in São Paulo, Brazil. Established in 2001, it offers bachelor's degree and postgraduate programs in architecture and urban planning, as well as non-degree courses in architecture, urbanism, design, and related disciplines. Since March 2020, the School has also operated Fábrica • Escola de Humanidades João Filgueiras Lima (FAEH), a private secondary and vocational school with a focus on the humanities and maker culture.The School has no formal rector or dean system; it is operated by Associação Escola da Cidade, a nonprofit association of architects, fine artists, and public intellectuals, and managed by five boards. Noted faculty members include Marcio Kogan and Paulo von Poser. The campus is entirely urban and occupies two buildings in the Vila Buarque neighborhood of central São Paulo, originally designed in the 1940s as apartment blocks by Oswaldo Bratke.In addition to a regular library open to the general public (Biblioteca Vilanova Artigas) and a university press (Editora da Cidade), the School also operates Baú, a "student-run... audiovisual repository of all knowledge produced at Escola da Cidade". Built from 1956 to 1965, it has a rooftop observation deck, open for tourists.Edifício Itália was designed by Brazilian architect Franz Heep. It is the 3rd tallest building in Brazil (and the 2nd in São Paulo) after Millennium Palace and Mirante do Vale.

The Mário de Andrade Library (in Portuguese: Biblioteca Mário de Andrade; BMA) is the largest public library in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. Founded in 1925, with a donation of holdings by the library of the city's Câmara Municipal, it became one of the most important cultural institutions in Brazil, as well as one of the leading research libraries in the country. It is named in honor of Mário de Andrade, one of the founders of Brazilian modernism. It is housed in an Art Deco building in the historical downtown, considered one of the icons of this style in the city. Mário de Andrade Library was the first Brazilian public institution interested in acquiring modern works of art of local and foreign artists (which are placed today in the Pinacoteca Municipal). It has been a member of United Nations depository libraries system since 1958, though it started receiving UN material nine years earlier, in 1949. During Sérgio Milliet's administration, the library would have a very large participation in São Paulo intellectual sets. Later, the library would be frequented by academics as Fernando Henrique Cardoso and Marilena Chaui. Sheltering the second largest bibliographic and documental heritage of Brazil — only after the National Library in Rio de Janeiro — the Mário de Andrade Library is the depository of all artistic and cultural registers of the city of São Paulo. Its collection includes about 3.2 million items, covering all areas of the knowledge — amongst which a distinct assemblage of over 60,000 rare books, manuscripts, incunabula, maps, prints, brasiliana and others, produced between 15th and 19th centuries.The Mário Andrade Municipal Library has branches throughout the city, providing circulating materials to general public.

The Battle of Maria Antônia (Portuguese: Batalha da Maria Antônia) was a conflict between students from the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of the University of São Paulo (FFCL-USP) and Mackenzie Presbyterian University that occurred on October 2, 1968. Both institutions were located on Maria Antônia Street, in central São Paulo, a popular venue for events such as protests and demonstrations.

The Maria Antônia University Center is an organ of the Pro-Rectory of Culture and University Extension of the University of São Paulo, which promotes modern and contemporary art exhibitions, courses in the field of humanities, seminars, debates, and other events, with emphasis on the dialogue between the different artistic languages. Maria Antônia, as it is known, occupies the former headquarters of the School of Philosophy, Sciences, and Languages of the University of São Paulo, along with the USP Theater, in a complex of buildings classified as the city's historical heritage. The Maria Antônia is considered a relevant point to spread the production of the University of São Paulo in its many levels and a space for the exchange of knowledge produced inside and outside the university. The complex offers several didactic activities, among them: courses, seminars, workshops in engraving, photography, drawing, and painting. The São Paulo Biennial Foundation and the Institute of Architects of Brazil awarded the University Center's renovation and restoration project in the Non-Executed Institutional Category of the Votorantim Architecture Award - General Architecture Exhibition, developed by the architecture office UNA Arquitetos.
