Madeley railway station (Shropshire)

Madeley Court is a 16th-century country house in Madeley, Shropshire, England which was originally built as a grange to the medieval Wenlock Priory. It has since been restored as a hotel. The house is ashlar built in two storeys to an L-shaped plan and is a Grade II* listed building. To the south west of the house is a 16th-century gatehouse which is separately grade I listed.

St Mary's Church is a Roman Catholic church in Madeley, Shropshire, England. It was built from 1852 to 1853 and was designed by Joseph Hansom in the Gothic Revival style. It is located on the corner of the High Street and Hanover Close. From 1769, the church congregation went to the presbytery next to the church, where Catholic Mass was celebrated in secret in a chapel. According to Historic England, it "is a very rare survivor of a house," and a Grade II listed building.

Madeley is a constituent town of Telford and a civil parish in the borough of Telford and Wrekin, Shropshire, England. The parish had a population of 17,935 at the 2001 census.Madeley is recorded in the Domesday Book, having been founded before the 8th century. Historically, Madeley's industrial activity has largely been in mining, and later, manufacturing, which is still a large employer in the town, along with service industries. Parts of the parish fall within the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ironbridge Gorge, the site of The Iron Bridge, and a key area in the development of Industry.

Madeley Market railway station is a disused railway station in Shropshire, England. The station was opened by the London and North Western Railway in 1861 on the company's Coalport Branch Line to serve the town of Madeley, Shropshire. It closed to passengers in 1952, and to freight on 5 December 1960.

Madeley Academy (formerly Madeley Court School) is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in Madeley in the English county of Shropshire.Previously a community school administered by Telford and Wrekin Council. Madeley Court School converted to academy status in April 2007 and was renamed Madeley Academy. The school relocated from its previous site on Court Street to a new campus on Castlefields Way in 2009.Madeley Academy offers GCSE and BTEC as programmes of study for pupils, while students in the sixth form have the option to study from a range of A-levels and further BTECs. The school also has a specialism in sports.

St James' Church is a redundant Anglican church in Stirchley, Shropshire, England. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The churchyard is designated as a Scheduled ancient monument.

Dawley and Stirchley railway station was a station in Dawley, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1861 and closed in 1952.

Brookside is a housing estate and borough and parish council ward in Telford, Shropshire, England. The original settlement of Brookside is a Radburn estate built in the early 1970s as part of the development of Telford New Town and is entirely within the confines of Brookside Avenue, a 1.7 mile ring road. Significant development has taken place around the outside of Brookside Avenue since the estate was built, the majority of which is part of Stirchley Park but falls within the Brookside ward for both Telford and Wrekin Council and Stirchley and Brookside Parish Council.

Stirchley is a large village and suburb of Telford, in the borough of Telford and Wrekin and ceremonial county of Shropshire, England. Stirchley lies just south-east of the town centre, and shares a parish council with neighbouring Brookside, which together have a population of 10,533 according to the 2001 census data It is close to Dawley and Malinslee and located next to the southern side of Telford town park. Although formerly a farming parish, it was incorporated into the Telford New Town in the 1970s. There are some important heritage sites in the parish, notably St James Church, Stirchley Hall, Stirchley Grange and the Stirchley Chimney, now a local landmark. A number of Stirchley's heritage sites are waypoints on the South Telford Heritage Trail. The former school was removed brick-by-brick and rebuilt at the nearby Blists Hill Victorian Town museum in 1993.

The Telford Park School is a coeducational secondary school located in Stirchley, Telford, Shropshire, England. The school grounds was first established in 1976 under the name of Stirchley Upper School, then renamed The Lord Silkin School, then later renamed Lakeside Academy. The original school was demolished in 2015 and rebuilt as The Telford Park School.

Blists Hill Victorian Town is an open-air museum built on a former industrial complex located in the Madeley area of Telford, Shropshire, England. The museum attempts to recreate the sights, sounds and smells of a Victorian Shropshire town in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It is one of ten museums operated by the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust. Originally Blists Hill was an industrial region consisting of a brick and tile works, blast furnaces and coal, iron and fire clay mines. The museum was opened in 1973 and has been growing ever since. The museum's buildings fall into one of three categories, buildings that were already part of the industrial site, buildings that represent a generic type and original buildings that have been relocated to the museum. The museum has three districts, a town area with Victorian era shops such as a bank, bakery, bicycle shop and post office. An industrial district that provided various employment from a blast furnace and wrought iron works and a countryside district with buildings such as a squatter's cottage and tin roof church. The museum has been used as a venue for various television programmes and films, including Doctor Who and Blue Peter.
