Randle House, also known as the Randall House, is a historic plantation house located near Norwood, Stanly County, North Carolina. It was built about 1835, and is a two-story, transitional Federal / Greek Revival style frame I-house dwelling. It is sheathed in weatherboard and has a gable roof. It has a gable roofed ell and attached kitchen/dining building. The front facade features a hipped roof porch.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Lake Tillery is a reservoir between Falls Reservoir and Blewett Falls Lake in the Uwharrie Lakes Region of North Carolina. It is entirely within Stanly County and Montgomery County, NC. The lake was created by impounding the Pee Dee River, which is created by the confluence of the Yadkin River and the Uwharrie River several miles to the north. Norwood, NC in neighboring Stanly County uses as its town motto "Gateway to Lake Tillery".

WZKY (1580 AM, "Magic 103.3 FM") is a radio station licensed to serve Albemarle, North Carolina, United States. The station is owned by Stanly Communications and broadcasts an oldies music format that at one time included programming from the Classic Hits network by ABC Radio. WZKY is where Bob Harris, "Voice of the Blue Devils", got his start in the radio business.

West Badin Historic District is a national historic district located at Badin, Stanly County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 153 contributing buildings and 4 contributing sites in the company town of Badin. They were built starting about 1912 and include residential, institutional, and commercial structures in Gothic Revival and Bungalow / American Craftsman style architecture. The community was developed by the Southern Aluminum Company of America, later Alcoa, with West Badin developed for African-American residents. Notable buildings include the houses at 704 Roosevelt Street and 417 Jackson Street, 228-226 Lincoln Avenue duplex, Baptist Church, McDonald's Chapel AME Zion Church, and Badin Colored School.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Narrows Dam and Power Plant Complex is a national historic district located at Badin, Stanly County, North Carolina. The district encompasses one contributing building and two contributing structures in the company town of Badin. The dam and power plant were built in 1917 by Alcoa to support the Badin plant. At the time of its completion, the Narrows Dam was the world's highest overflow type dam. The Narrows power plant is a one-story building nine bays wide with a gable roof and six-foot raised monitor roof.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Badin Lake is one of a series of lakes created by the damming of the Yadkin-Pee Dee River in the Uwharrie Lakes Region of the United States. The Badin Lake Dam was built in 1917 to support local aluminum smelting plant, Alcoa, and the associated community of Badin was named for the founder, Adrien Badin. The power generation unit was sold to Cube Hydro Carolinas in February 2017. Badin Lake is in the Piedmont area of North Carolina. It is contained by Narrows Dam at the town of Badin, North Carolina. Sitting within a valley, the lake is very deep, with a maximum depth of 190 ft (58 m). The lake occupies 5,350 acres (22 km2) and has 115 mi (185 km) of shoreline. Its waters have an average summer temperature of 84.4 °F (29.1 °C) and an average winter temperature of 50.6 °F (10.3 °C). No ferries cross Badin Lake. The northernmost point of Morrow Mountain State Park is roughly 2 miles (3.2 km) downstream from Narrows Dam. The lake lies within Stanly, Davidson, Montgomery, and Rowan counties. Much of the lake's eastern shoreline lies within the Uwharrie National Forest.

The district encompasses 87 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site in a predominantly residential section of Albemarle. They were built between about 1891 and 1947 and include notable examples of Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, and Bungalow / American Craftsman style residential architecture. Notable buildings include the Brown-Parker House (c. 1891), Crowell House (c. 1900), Lambert-Hughes-Ferrell House (c. 1933), W. Berly Beaver House (1929-1936), David Augustus Holbrook House (1929-1936), Langley-Holbrook House (c. 1937), William Thomas Huckabee, Jr., House (1947), Robert Lee Smith Family House (c. 1900), and Wade F. Denning House (c. 1948-1950). It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

Five Points Historic District is a national historic district located at Albemarle, Stanly County, North Carolina. The district encompasses six contributing buildings in the central business district of Albemarle. They were built between about 1905 and 1950 and include notable examples of Early Commercial and Industrial architecture. Notable buildings include the Service Station-Building (c. 1929, 1940), Anderson Grocery Building (c. 1928), The Model Tailoring Company (1922, c. 1940), Morgan Motor Company Building (1922, 1930s), and Lillian Knitting Mills (1905, 1938, late 1940s). It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Albemarle () is a city in and the county seat of Stanly County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 16,432 in the 2020 census. Albemarle is located in the easternmost part of the Charlotte metropolitan area.

The Isaiah Wilson Snugs House, also known as the Isaiah Wilson Snugs House and the Marks House, are two historic homes located at Albemarle, Stanly County, North Carolina. The Marks House was built about 1847, and is a two-story, transitional Federal / Greek Revival style frame dwelling. It is the oldest surviving house in Albemarle. It was moved to its present site behind the Snuggs house in 1975. The Isaiah Wilson Snuggs House, the second oldest in Albemarle, was built about 1874, and is a two-story, three-bay, frame dwelling, with a two-room kitchen/dining room ell. The houses were restored in the 1980s and are operated as historic house museums by the Stanly County Museum. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

Central Elementary School is a historic school in Albemarle, North Carolina whose current main building opened in 1925 as Albemarle High School, and whose previous building (Albemarle Graded School) located next door was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 2015. Additions to the 1925 building were constructed in 1936 and a renovation and expansion completed in 2007. When the renovation was completed, Central Elementary moved from its original building next door. The renovation resulted in the Stanly County's school board being honored by Preservation North Carolina in 2008. The school has 561 students in grades pre-kindergarten to 5th grade and is SACS-accredited.
