West Badin Historic District

Stanly County Airport (ICAO: KVUJ, FAA LID: VUJ) is a county-owned, joint civil-military, public-use airport in Stanly County, North Carolina, United States. It is located four nautical miles (5 mi, 7 km) northeast of the central business district of Albemarle, North Carolina. This airport is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a general aviation facility.Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this airport is assigned VUJ by the FAA but has no assignment from the IATA. The airport's ICAO identifier is KVUJ.

Narrows Dam and Power Plant Complex is a national historic district located at Badin, Stanly County, North Carolina. The district encompasses one contributing building and two contributing structures in the company town of Badin. The dam and power plant were built in 1917 by Alcoa to support the Badin plant. At the time of its completion, the Narrows Dam was the world's highest overflow type dam. The Narrows power plant is a one-story building nine bays wide with a gable roof and six-foot raised monitor roof.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Badin Lake is one of a series of lakes created by the damming of the Yadkin-Pee Dee River in the Uwharrie Lakes Region of the United States. The Badin Lake Dam was built in 1917 to support local aluminum smelting plant, Alcoa, and the associated community of Badin was named for the founder, Adrien Badin. The power generation unit was sold to Cube Hydro Carolinas in February 2017. Badin Lake is in the Piedmont area of North Carolina. It is contained by Narrows Dam at the town of Badin, North Carolina. Sitting within a valley, the lake is very deep, with a maximum depth of 190 ft (58 m). The lake occupies 5,350 acres (22 km2) and has 115 mi (185 km) of shoreline. Its waters have an average summer temperature of 84.4 °F (29.1 °C) and an average winter temperature of 50.6 °F (10.3 °C). No ferries cross Badin Lake. The northernmost point of Morrow Mountain State Park is roughly 2 miles (3.2 km) downstream from Narrows Dam. The lake lies within Stanly, Davidson, Montgomery, and Rowan counties. Much of the lake's eastern shoreline lies within the Uwharrie National Forest.

Eldorado Township, population 1,873, is one of eleven townships in Montgomery County, North Carolina, United States. Eldorado Township is 48.97 square miles (126.8 km2) in size and is located in the northwestern corner of the county.

The Tuckertown Reservoir is the reservoir formed by the Tuckertown Dam 35°29′05″N 80°10′36″W at the North end of Badin Lake and the High Rock Dam 35°36′03″N 80°14′06″W at the bottom of High Rock Lake in the Uwharrie Lakes Region in the U.S. state of North Carolina. The reservoir is located in Davidson County, Stanly County, Montgomery County, and Rowan County and contains the wide and navigable waterway of the Yadkin River. The dam itself, at the south end of the reservoir, spans the river between Harris Township in Stanly County and Eldorado Township in Montgomery County. Used for hydroelectric power generation, Tuckertown Lake was historically managed and operated by the Alcoa company, but in February 2017 Alcoa sold the power generation to Cube Hydro Carolinas LLC, an affiliate of Cube Hydro Partners, LLC.The lake has multiple crossings. One is the Bringle Ferry Bridge that bridges the river between High Rock (in Davidson County) and Pooletown (in Rowan County), and from which there are views of the High Rock Dam. The second crossing is the NC Hwy 49 Bridge at Tuckertown. The next bridge north of the Bringle Ferry Bridge is located at the Interstate 85 crossing near Salisbury. There are more crossings in the backs of the lakes creeks. The next bridge south of the NC Hwy 49 Bridge is at the James B. Garrison Bridge over Lake Tillery between Albemarle and Troy. The Tuckertown Reservoir occupies a narrow valley in the western edge of the ancient Uwharrie Mountains.

The James B. Garrison Bridge are two automobile bridges spanning the Pee Dee River/Lake Tillery, between Stanly and Montgomery Counties. The bridges carry NC 24/NC 27/NC 73.

Stanly Community College (SCC) is a public community college in Albemarle, North Carolina. It is part of the North Carolina Community College System. It has a satellite campus in Locust, North Carolina and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The college serves over 10,000 students annually in associate degree, diploma, certificate, general education, occupational training, adult literacy, and a comprehensive online degree program.

Horsepen Creek is a 2.22 mi (3.57 km) long 1st order tributary to the Uwharrie River in Montgomery County, North Carolina.

Established five times in the state, from 1926 to 2006, its last routing was along Ocean Boulevard, in Myrtle Beach, a popular stretch of road lined with hotels, shops, tourist sites and access to the beach.

Randle House, also known as the Randall House, is a historic plantation house located near Norwood, Stanly County, North Carolina. It was built about 1835, and is a two-story, transitional Federal / Greek Revival style frame I-house dwelling. It is sheathed in weatherboard and has a gable roof. It has a gable roofed ell and attached kitchen/dining building. The front facade features a hipped roof porch.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Chapel Hill Church Tabernacle is a historic Methodist church tabernacle located near Denton, Davidson County, North Carolina. It was built in 1870 and enlarged in the 1920s. It is a one-story, heavy-timber, open-framework building, open on three sides. It has a concrete floor and a gable-on-hip roof. The tabernacle was originally used for the religious services at the annual camp meetings. The tabernacle is located on the grounds of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, whose congregation dates from 1854.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.
