Watab, Minnesota

Sartell High School is a public high school in Sartell, Minnesota, United States. The original high school was constructed in 1969 and was the middle school prior to the 2020-2021 school year. It is now Riverview Intermediate School. The old high school was constructed in 1993 and was remodeled to become the new Sartell Middle School. The new Sartell High School opened to the public fall of 2019. It also includes a Student-Run Coffee Shop combined with the School Spirit Shop

The Sartell Paper Mill, officially the Verso Paper Sartell Mill, was a paper mill located in the city of Sartell in the U.S. state of Minnesota, operating from 1905 until a disastrous explosion in 2012.

The Sartell Dam is a dam across the Mississippi River in Sartell, Minnesota in the United States. The dam was used to generate hydroelectric power for the adjoining Sartell Paper Mill before it burned down in 2012. The dam is referred to as the Champion Dam in official documentation.Construction of the structure was begun by the Watab Pulp and Paper Company in 1907 and finished in 1911. Seven workers died during construction, most from drowning as a result of washouts on the site's cofferdam. A cave-in on the dam's west end also killed the son of the project's foreman.The dam was constructed of wooden planks, local granite, and field stones as well as 25,000 barrels concrete. Between 1960 and 1964, the dam was rebuilt by the St. Regis Corporation which had purchased the adjoining paper mill in 1946. The mill and dam are currently owned by Verso Paper. Construction of the dam resulted in the formation of Little Rock Lake approximately five miles (8 km) upriver. The dam itself is 20 feet tall.

The Watab River, also known as Watab Creek, is a 9.8-mile-long (15.8 km) tributary of the Mississippi River in Stearns County in central Minnesota in the United States. It rises north of St. Joseph at the confluence of its North and South Forks, and flows northeast through Watab Lake, then east into the Mississippi River at Sartell. The North Fork Watab River, 6.9 miles (11.1 km) long, rises in Island Lake, a small creek feeds Pflueger Lake, flows northeasterly to Stumpf Lake, then southeasterly near Collegeville, merging with the South Fork near St. Joseph. The South Fork Watab River, 12.7 miles (20.4 km) long, flows southeast from Big Watab Lake to Little Watab Lake, and through a pond before flowing northeast and into North Fork Watab River.

Le Sauk Township is a township in Stearns County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,766 at the 2010 census.Le Sauk Township was organized in 1860. The township contains one property listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the 1884 Francis Arnold House.

Sartell is a city in Benton and Stearns Counties in the U.S. state of Minnesota that straddles the Mississippi River. It is part of the St. Cloud Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 19,351 at the 2020 census, making it St. Cloud's most populous suburb and the fourth-largest city in central Minnesota, after St. Cloud, Elk River, and Willmar.

It is the only station in Minnesota to broadcast both Chicago Cubs and Las Vegas Raiders games. By day, the station is powered at 10,000 watts. Because 660 AM is a clear channel frequency reserved for Class A WFAN New York City, WBHR reduces power to 500 watts at night to avoid interference. The station uses a directional antenna at all times, and their transmitter array is located on 10th Avenue NE near Golden Spike Road in Sauk Rapids. It shares a seven-tower array with its three other AM sister stations. Programming is also heard on 250 watt FM translator W239CU at 95.7 MHz.

The Sauk River is a 122-mile-long (196 km) tributary of the Mississippi River in central Minnesota in the United States. It drains small lakes in Stearns County. In the Ojibwe language it is called Ozaagi-ziibi, meaning "River of the Sauks".It issues from Lake Osakis on the Todd County line and flows east through Guernsey Lake, Little Sauk Lake and Juergens Lake, then south through Sauk Lake and past Sauk Centre, southeast past Melrose and Richmond, then northeast through Cedar Island Lake and Zumwalde Lake, past Cold Spring and Waite Park to the Mississippi River 2 miles (3 km) north of St. Cloud. At St. Cloud, MN, the river has a mean annual discharge of 342 cubic feet per second.The rapids that occur south of the river's mouth on the Mississippi River lent their name to the nearby city of Sauk Rapids.
