Sauk Rapids ( SAWK) is a city in Benton County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 13,862 at the 2020 census and is 13,896 according to 2021 census estimates, about a third of Benton County's population. It is on a set of rapids on the Mississippi River near its confluence with the Sauk River. Sauk Rapids is part of the St. Cloud metropolitan area.

It is the only station in Minnesota to broadcast both Chicago Cubs and Las Vegas Raiders games. By day, the station is powered at 10,000 watts. Because 660 AM is a clear channel frequency reserved for Class A WFAN New York City, WBHR reduces power to 500 watts at night to avoid interference. The station uses a directional antenna at all times, and their transmitter array is located on 10th Avenue NE near Golden Spike Road in Sauk Rapids. It shares a seven-tower array with its three other AM sister stations. Programming is also heard on 250 watt FM translator W239CU at 95.7 MHz.

In the Ojibwe language it is called Ozaagi-ziibi, meaning "River of the Sauks".It issues from Lake Osakis on the Todd County line and flows east through Guernsey Lake, Little Sauk Lake and Juergens Lake, then south through Sauk Lake and past Sauk Centre, southeast past Melrose and Richmond, then northeast through Cedar Island Lake and Zumwalde Lake, past Cold Spring and Waite Park to the Mississippi River 2 miles (3 km) north of St. Cloud. At St. Cloud, MN, the river has a mean annual discharge of 342 cubic feet per second.The rapids that occur south of the river's mouth on the Mississippi River lent their name to the nearby city of Sauk Rapids.

The Francis Arnold House is a historic house in LeSauk Township, Minnesota, United States. It was built in 1884 for the owner and operator of a gristmill that stood just west of the house, on the bank of the Sauk River just above its confluence with the Mississippi. The Arnold House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994 for its local significance in the theme of industry. It was nominated for symbolizing the family-owned, water-powered mills once common in rural Stearns County.

Veterans Bridge is a steel girder bridge that spans the Mississippi River in St. Cloud, Minnesota, United States. It was built in 1971 and was designed by Howard, Needles, Tammen & Bergendoff. There have been three previous bridges at this location. The first was built in 1867 by the St. Cloud Bridge Company and was a wooden toll bridge. The city bought the bridge in 1887 and rebuilt it with iron and wood. In 1894, the wooden bridge was replaced with a deck truss bridge, which survived until the new bridge was built in 1971.
