Mayfair (Jenkinsville, South Carolina)

Jenkinsville is an incorporated town in western Fairfield County, South Carolina, United States, between the Broad and the Little rivers. It is located east of Monticello Reservoir and is near the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Generating Station. Also in the area is the Kincaid-Anderson House and quarry. The town was incorporated in 2008. Jenkinsville's population at the 2010 census was 46, making it South Carolina's second smallest town.In addition to the Kincaid-Anderson House, the Ebenezer Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, Dr. John Glenn House, High Point, Little River Baptist Church, and Mayfair are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Dr. John Glenn House is a historic home located near Jenkinsville, Fairfield County, South Carolina. It was built about 1845, and is a two-story, five-bay, weatherboarded frame, end-gabled Greek Revival style residence. It has a double-pile and central-hall plan with a rear shed room. The front façade features a two-tiered porch in the three central bays with a pedimented gable end.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

High Point is a historic home located near Jenkinsville, Fairfield County, South Carolina. The original section was built about 1800, and is a two-story, five-bay, frame farmhouse with later expansions. A two-story rear ell was built about 1870. It features a one-story, shed-roofed porch across the front façade supported by square posts. Also on the property are the contributing family cemetery, a frame smoke house, and a frame barn.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

St. John Lutheran Church is a historic Lutheran congregation in Pomaria, South Carolina affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.It traces its origins to 1754, when Reformed minister Rev. John Glasser of Thurgau moved to the area to minister to nearby German-speaking settlements. It was the first Reformed church in the Dutch Fork.After worshipping in log cabins, the congregation moved into the "Old White Church", a painted wood-frame structure, in 1809. The historic church served as its house of worship for 141 years, until the modern brick structure was opened in 1950. The Old White Church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

As of 2020, they have a 98% graduation rate. Spring Hill currently has 35 clubs listed on its website, including GSA, FCA, and a Guitar Club that is led by the school's principal, Dr. Michael Lofton. Another notable club, unique to Spring Hill High School, is the Multimedia Gaming Club, or MMGC. MMGC, being the largest club in the school, provides an opportunity for students at Spring Hill to share their love of gaming with each other.

Chapin, popularly known as the "Capital of Lake Murray", is a small lake town located at the northern tip of Lexington County, South Carolina, United States. Lake Murray separates Chapin from the rest of Lexington County. The population of Chapin was 1,445 according to the 2010 census, and an estimated 1,633 in 2019. Chapin is located approximately 24 miles (39 km) northwest of Columbia, and many people commute there for work; however, the town is considered fringe rural by the US postal service.The town government is set up in the mayor-council form, and the current mayor is Albert Koon. Chapin has four public schools in the area; the first Chapin school was built in 1924. Lake Murray is the main attraction to Chapin and provides boaters with water-related recreation.

The Robinson-Hiller House in Chapin, Lexington County, South Carolina, was built in 1902. It is significant as a Queen Anne house and for being associated with Charles Plumber Robinson (1867-1944), a businessman who founded C.P. Robinson Lumber Company and other enterprises, and his wife Sarah "Eddie" Smithson Robinson, a "social activist and officer of the Woman’s Christian Temperance Union." In 1919, after the Robinsons left Chapin, the house was acquired by James Haltiwanger Hiller.It was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1998. It is currently a commercial spa.

SC Whitmore School in South Carolina is a virtual school that is authorized by the South Carolina Public Charter School District, an extension of the South Carolina Department of Education. Opened in August 2011, it offers free public school that high school students in grades 9-12 attend from home. The school operates year-round without semesters.
