Colegio Japonés de Madrid

El Plantío is a ward (barrio) of Madrid belonging to the district of Moncloa-Aravaca. The Colegio Japonés de Madrid, a Japanese international school, is in El Plantío.

The Zarzuela Palace (Spanish: Palacio de la Zarzuela [paˈlaθjo ðe la θaɾˈθwela]) is the residence and working offices of the reigning monarch of Spain (King Felipe VI), although the official residence of the Spanish royal family is the Royal Palace of Madrid. The Zarzuela Palace is on the outskirts of Madrid, near the Royal Palace of El Pardo, which accommodates visiting heads of state. The palace is owned by the Spanish government and administered by a state agency named Patrimonio Nacional (National Heritage). The Zarzuela Palace was the home of King Juan Carlos I from May 1962 until his departure to live abroad, following allegations of financial impropriety, in August 2020. It has not been announced whether it will remain the home of his wife, Queen Sofía, who did not accompany Juan Carlos abroad. Although King Felipe VI has his office in the palace, he and his family live in the Pabellón del Príncipe on the grounds just east of the Zarzuela Palace.

Ciudad Deportiva Atlético de Madrid, officially Ciudad Wanda Deportiva Atlético de Madrid is the training ground and academy base of Spanish football club Atlético Madrid. It was officially opened on 13 September 1995. Located in Majadahonda and covering 55,000 m² it is used since 1995 for youth and senior team trainings. It is also home to the mini Estadio Cerro del Espino, which is the home ground of Atlético Madrid B and CF Rayo Majadahonda, both playing in Segunda División B.

Francisco de Vitoria University (Spanish: Universidad Francisco de Vitoria) is a private university located in Pozuelo de Alarcón, in the Community of Madrid, Spain. It is a Roman Catholic institution run by the Legion of Christ. It is named after Francisco de Vitoria (c. 1483 – 1546), a Spanish philosopher, theologian, and jurist.

The Mini Estadio Cerro del Espino is a multi-use stadium located in Majadahonda, Community of Madrid, Spain. It holds 3800 spectators.It is currently used for football matches and is the home stadium of Atlético Madrid reserve teams and CF Rayo Majadahonda. The venue is part of the Ciudad Deportiva Atlético de Madrid. In the 2018–19 season, Rayo played its first Segunda División campaign at Atlético's Wanda Metropolitano due to the insufficient facilities at the ground.

The First Battle of the Corunna Road took place between 29 November and 3 December 1936 during the Spanish Civil War. The Nationalists tried to isolate Madrid from the west, cutting the Corunna Road, but the Republican army repelled the attack.

Pozuelo de Alarcón (Spanish pronunciation: [poˈθwelo ðe alaɾˈkon]) is a municipality in the Community of Madrid, Spain. Bordering the Moncloa-Aravaca district of Madrid proper to its west, Pozuelo de Alarcón is surrounded by large Mediterranean pine-tree forests: the Casa de Campo, the Monte del Pardo, and the Monte del Pilar. As of 2019, it ranks as the wealthiest municipality in Spain. La Finca, an isolated luxury residential area known by its affluent residents, most notably football players, lies within the municipality bounds.

Las Rozas de Madrid (or simply, Las Rozas; Spanish pronunciation: [las ˈɾɔθas]) is one of the largest townships and municipalities in the autonomous community of Madrid, Spain, with an area of 59 km² (22¾ sq. mi.)[1]. It is located 20 km (12 miles) northwest of the city of Madrid itself, on the A-6 freeway to A Coruña. Las Rozas is the beginning of this freeway, near the fork road M-505 to El Escorial, which marks the southern boundary of this 'comarca' or rural district (although it is no longer rural). The municipality is served by four Renfe railway stations– Las Rozas, Las Matas, El Pinar and El Tejar. A fifth stop, at Peñascales was closed. The municipality shares borders with Torrelodones to the north, Villanueva del Pardillo and Galapagar to the west, the park of Monte del Pardo in the east and Majadahonda (south). Las Rozas has one of the highest average per capita incomes in the Community of Madrid. During the final decades of the 20th century the town has experienced a vigorous building program, mostly as a dormitory town for Madrid, with a correspondingly strong population growth, which more than doubled between 1991 and 2005 (from 35,137 to 76,246 inhabitants). The provisioning for local services (such as schools and new dwellings) has at times been outpaced by the locality's high birth and immigration rates. However, by 2010 the community was well served in all health, education and social sectors.
