King—Vaughan (federal electoral district)

King—Vaughan is a provincial electoral district in Ontario, Canada. It elects one member to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. This riding was created in 2015.

Purpleville is a hamlet located south of the intersection of Pine Valley Drive and Teston Road, in the city of Vaughan, in Ontario, Canada. In 2017 the city approved a subdivision on the site of this hamlet.The historic hamlet of Purpleville is located at the intersection of Pine Valley Drive and Teston Road. There are two cemeteries and several single detached dwellings that exist on the subject lands that will either be moved or demolished. Almost unrecognizable because of its small size, the only remnants of Purpleville are at Hadwin Chapel and Pioneer Cemetery with a small historical plaque, and a cemetery containing the very few settlers that lived there. As with other hamlets in Ontario, its growing surroundings has led to its incorporation into the larger city of Vaughan.

Vaughan was a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 2004 until 2015. The riding covered the fast-growing region of Vaughan north of Toronto, Ontario. The riding was created in 2003 from parts of Vaughan—King—Aurora riding. It consisted of the part of the City of Vaughan that lies west of Highway 400 or north of Rutherford Road.

Tommy Douglas Secondary School (TDSS) is a secondary education facility in Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada that opened on 3 February 2015. It is named after Tommy Douglas, the seventh Premier of Saskatchewan whose government implemented North America's first single-payer, universal health care program. It is a secular public school administered by the York Region District School Board. The school is located at 4020 Major Mackenzie Drive, and its first principal is Ann Pace from 2015-2020. As of now the current principal is Sandra Sardone from 2020-present. Before the school's opening, students attended Emily Carr Secondary School and Woodbridge College. At Woodbridge College, it operates as a "parallel, but separate" school, during which time the building at Woodbridge College is shared by two schools with separate staff and student body. It had previously maintained an office at Maple High School.The school's boundary was approved by the YRDSB executive in January 2002, during which boundary changes for the opening of Emily Carr Secondary School and Maple High School were also approved. Because of unanticipated demographic changes in Vaughan, the school had one fewer feeder school than originally forecast by YRDSB planners. The school's boundaries are Highway 400 to the east, Rutherford Road to the south, Pine Valley Drive to the west, and the King-Vaughan town line in the north. Before opening, students residing south of Teston Road and north of Major Mackenzie Drive attended Woodbridge College, except those southwest of the area delimited by Millwood Parkway.

Baitul Islam (House of Islam) is a mosque in Vaughan, Ontario run by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (AMJ) in Canada. It was inaugurated on October, 17th 1992 in the presence of the fourth Caliph of the community and many Members of Parliament.

Teston is a suburban neighbourhood and former hamlet located at the intersection of Teston Road and Jane Street, in the City of Vaughan, Ontario, at the northern edge of the city's developed area. The Teston United Church and some homes of early settlers are still standing to this day, but the rapid development of Vaughan has impacted the area in recent years. In early 2005, the Teston United Church was unsuccessfully relocated, meaning that lifting and flotation to an alternate site could not be accomplished. Parts of the church were distributed before it was completely demolished. The only visible remnants of the hamlet today run from Kleinberg to Keele Street, and continue east of Maple, eventually becoming Elgin Mills Road at Bathurst Street. In 2010, a major archeological discovery was made on the south side of the road, as road crews discovered an aboriginal burial ground just east of Jane Street.

The riding covered the fast-growing region of Vaughan north of Toronto, Ontario. It consisted of the part of the City of Vaughan that lies west of Highway 400 and north of Rutherford Road. In 2018, the district was dissolved into Dufferin—Caledon, King—Vaughan and Vaughan—Woodbridge.

Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital (pronounced [kortelˈluttʃi]; originally proposed name; Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital) is a hospital in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. Construction of the hospital was completed in September 2020. It opened on 7 February 2021 to alleviate hospital capacity pressures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in Ontario, and opened for full service on 6 June 2021. It is operated by Mackenzie Health, which also operates Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital. Its service area is primarily Vaughan, King, and Richmond Hill in the southwestern and south-central portions of York Region. Its construction cost about CA$1.7 billion.The 11-storey hospital is situated on a 25-hectare property on the northwest corner of Jane Street and Major Mackenzie Drive, adjacent to Canada's Wonderland.

Ghoster Coaster (formerly Scooby’s Gasping Ghoster Coaster), is a junior wooden roller coaster located at Canada's Wonderland whose name was shortened to just "Ghoster Coaster" for the 2010 season, as part of the transition to Planet Snoopy.Ghoster Coaster opened, along with the entire park, on May 23, 1981, as one of the five original roller coasters to open with the park. The other four were Dragon Fyre, Thunder Run, the Wilde Beast, and the Mighty Canadian Minebuster. All three wooden coasters were designed by Curtis D. Summers and built in-house by the Taft Broadcasting Company. Some sources claim Philadelphia Toboggan Company (PTC) built these coasters, but PTC stopped building coasters in 1979.Ghoster Coaster was awarded ACE Coaster Classic status, but that status has since been rescinded as a result of recent changes to the coaster.

King City Airport was an airport located in King City, Ontario, Canada, north of Toronto. It was located on the northeast intersection of Highway 400 and the King–Vaughan Town Line. Home to Dominion Helicopters, the EAA Chapter 189 Flying Club, Kevin Healy Aviation Ltd. The site was purchased by K. J. Beamish Construction Company (now Dufferin Construction North) in the 1980s, which used the former control tower as its head office and the hangars for storage space. Dufferin Construction moved out of the airport in mid-2020. In early 2021 the buildings were demolished.

Major Mackenzie West Terminal is a York Region Transit local bus terminal in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. It is located on Major Mackenzie Drive immediately north of Canada's Wonderland and immediately south of Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital just west of Jane Street. The terminal partially opened on November 6, 2022, and fully opened on April 30, 2023. It includes a passenger pick-up and drop-off area and a pedestrian and cycling underpass connection to Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital. It has 12 bus platforms.

Silver Streak is a Vekoma inverted roller coaster at Canada's Wonderland in Vaughan, Ontario. The coaster is geared towards families and children, and is often seen as a junior version of the park's existing Flight Deck roller coaster.
