Tommy Douglas Secondary School (TDSS) is a secondary education facility in Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada that opened on 3 February 2015. It is named after Tommy Douglas, the seventh Premier of Saskatchewan whose government implemented North America's first single-payer, universal health care program. It is a secular public school administered by the York Region District School Board. The school is located at 4020 Major Mackenzie Drive, and its first principal is Ann Pace from 2015-2020. As of now the current principal is Sandra Sardone from 2020-present. Before the school's opening, students attended Emily Carr Secondary School and Woodbridge College. At Woodbridge College, it operates as a "parallel, but separate" school, during which time the building at Woodbridge College is shared by two schools with separate staff and student body. It had previously maintained an office at Maple High School.The school's boundary was approved by the YRDSB executive in January 2002, during which boundary changes for the opening of Emily Carr Secondary School and Maple High School were also approved. Because of unanticipated demographic changes in Vaughan, the school had one fewer feeder school than originally forecast by YRDSB planners. The school's boundaries are Highway 400 to the east, Rutherford Road to the south, Pine Valley Drive to the west, and the King-Vaughan town line in the north. Before opening, students residing south of Teston Road and north of Major Mackenzie Drive attended Woodbridge College, except those southwest of the area delimited by Millwood Parkway.

Vaughan was a provincial riding in Ontario, Canada, that was represented in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario between 2007 and 2018. The riding covered the fast-growing region of Vaughan north of Toronto, Ontario. It consisted of the part of the City of Vaughan that lies west of Highway 400 and north of Rutherford Road. In 2018, the district was dissolved into Dufferin—Caledon, King—Vaughan and Vaughan—Woodbridge.

St. Jean de Brebeuf Catholic High School, also known as SJB, is a Catholic high school located in Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada. Opened in September 2005 to about 600 students, it has since grown to about 1500 enrolled students. The school started with only grades 9 and 10 in the first year it opened. SJB is part of the York District Catholic School Board (YCDSB). St. Jean de Brebeuf has six computer labs, two full size gyms, two full size soccer fields, tennis courts, and a baseball diamond. It has an agreement with the Vellore Village Community Center, which is directly connected to the school, granting students patronage of the full size swimming pool, gym and youth room.

Ghoster Coaster (formerly Scooby’s Gasping Ghoster Coaster), is a junior wooden roller coaster located at Canada's Wonderland whose name was shortened to just "Ghoster Coaster" for the 2010 season, as part of the transition to Planet Snoopy.Ghoster Coaster opened, along with the entire park, on May 23, 1981, as one of the five original roller coasters to open with the park. The other four were Dragon Fyre, Thunder Run, the Wilde Beast, and the Mighty Canadian Minebuster. All three wooden coasters were designed by Curtis D. Summers and built in-house by the Taft Broadcasting Company. Some sources claim Philadelphia Toboggan Company (PTC) built these coasters, but PTC stopped building coasters in 1979.Ghoster Coaster was awarded ACE Coaster Classic status, but that status has since been rescinded as a result of recent changes to the coaster.

Silver Streak is a Vekoma inverted roller coaster at Canada's Wonderland in Vaughan, Ontario. The coaster is geared towards families and children, and is often seen as a junior version of the park's existing Flight Deck roller coaster.

Timberwolf Falls is a Shoot-the-Chute water ride that opened in 1989 at Canada's Wonderland. The ride contains a basic oval shape and features one drop creating a wave soaking all riders. The ride also features a Splash Zone which allows spectators to get soaked by the wave from a bridge located above the main drop.

Splash Works is a 20-acre (8.1 ha) water park located within the park boundaries of Canada's Wonderland in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. Entry is free with park admission. Splash Works is home to "Whitewater Bay", the largest outdoor wave pool in Canada, and is today home to 16 waterslides. Splash Works operates during the summer months of May through September.

Wilde Beast is a wooden roller coaster located at Canada's Wonderland, in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. It was originally named "Wilde Beast", from 1981 to 1996, when it was renamed to "Wild Beast" in 1997. The ride was reverted to its original name in 2019. It is one of the five roller coasters that debuted with the park in 1981, and is one of three wooden coasters at Canada's Wonderland modeled after a ride at Coney Island amusement park in Cincinnati, Ohio (specifically, Wildcat); the other is the Mighty Canadian Minebuster. The ride's fan curve was rebuilt in 1998.

Vortex is a suspended roller coaster at Canada's Wonderland in Vaughan, Ontario. It officially opened during the 1991 season.As with other suspended roller coasters, Vortex's trains swing under the track. On Vortex, riders are taken up through the top of the mountain and dropped at high speeds. At some points in the ride, the trains swing just above a river running through the middle of the park, giving riders the illusion that the train will touch the water. It is the fastest roller coaster of its kind in the world, together with Ninja at Six Flags Magic Mountain, both with top speeds of 89 kilometres per hour (55 mph). It is also the tallest currently operating suspended coaster in the world, reaching a height of 27.8 metres (91 ft). It is considered to be a terrain coaster due to the influences of the ride track by the mountain and the river.

Shockwave is a Top Scan ride at Canada's Wonderland. The Mondial ride opened to the public in May 2001 and continues to operate today. The ride spins around on an angle while guests (while restrained on the seats) are spun around on almost every possible angle the ride operates on. Also, during the first season of operation (2001), Shockwave earned many different nicknames such as 'Protein Spill 2001'.

Canada's Wonderland, formerly known as Paramount Canada's Wonderland, is a 134-hectare (330-acre) amusement park located in Vaughan, Ontario, a municipality within the Greater Toronto Area. Opened in 1981 by the Taft Broadcasting Company and the Great-West Life Assurance Company, it was the first major theme park in Canada and remains the country's largest. Cedar Fair purchased the park from Paramount Parks in 2006, and they have owned and operated the park since then. In 2019, it was the most-visited seasonal amusement park in North America with an estimated 3.9 million guests. The park still retains this record, with an estimated 3.8 million guests in 2022 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.Canada's Wonderland normally operates from late April or early May to Labour Day, and then on weekends until October 31st at 11:59 pm. Special events are held throughout the season, including Halloween Haunt and various festivals such as Celebration Canada, a month-long Canada Day festival. Beginning in 2019, the park also hosts WinterFest, a holiday-themed event that extends the park's operating season to late December or early January. With eighteen roller coasters, Canada's Wonderland has the second most of any theme park, behind future sister park Six Flags Magic Mountain in California, which has twenty, given the merger between Cedar Fair and Six Flags to take into effect during the first half of 2024. Eight hectares (20 acres) of the park houses a water park named Splash Works. Since the closure of Crystal Beach Park in Fort Erie in 1989, Canada's Wonderland is the only amusement park in Ontario with wooden roller coasters in operation.

Wilde Knight Mares (formerly known as Night Mares) is a HUSS UFO at Canada's Wonderland in Ontario, Canada. The ride is an original at Canada's Wonderland as it opened along with the rest of the park in 1981. This ride is similar to Orbiter, which is a defunct attraction also at Canada's Wonderland. As of 2023 the ride is the only known HUSS UFO remaining in North America.
