Coquitlam Mountain is a mountain located in northeast Coquitlam, British Columbia, 6.2 km (3.9 mi) east of Coquitlam Lake and 9.7 km (6.0 mi) north of Minnekhada Regional Park. The mountain is located at the head of Or Creek, completely within the Coquitlam watershed, and thus public access is forbidden by law. Mount Burke forms the southern ridge of Coquitlam Mountain.The first recorded ascent of the mountain was in 1918 by P. James and D. Munday. The mountain's name was adopted on 3 May 1951, in association with the Coquitlam River.

Pinecone Burke Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada. It extends from the southwest corner of Garibaldi Provincial Park, west of Pitt Lake and Pitt River to include Burke Mountain in the City of Coquitlam. Most of the park is unserviced wilderness with very rough trails such as the Fools Gold Trail in the Boise Valley. There is canoe access to Widgeon Slough and from there hiking trails that lead to Widgeon Lake, and a network of old logging roads, hiking and mountain biking trails on Burke Mountain. Visitors can also use the park for camping, backcountry skiing, and snowshoeing. Before being protected, the park area was logged and mined. The park's boundaries were established in 1995 by the provincial government and covers 38,000 hectares. Parts of the park's boundaries are located in the Katzie First Nation, Kwikwetlem First Nation, and Stó:lō First Nation's territories. The park's diverse ecosystems supports several different species on land and in its inlet. There are six species that have been labeled as sensitive or vulnerable that live in the park.

Coquitlam Dam is a hydraulic fill embankment dam on the Coquitlam River in the city of Coquitlam, British Columbia. Although it has no powerhouse of its own, its waters divert to Buntzen Lake, making it part of BC Hydro's electrical generation infrastructure. It is also one of the main reservoirs for the Greater Vancouver Water District. BC Hydro has released a new document in March 2018 that addresses emergency preparedness and outlines the areas effected should the dam fail as a result of an extreme earthquake event.

Mount Burke, 1,270 m (4,167 ft), is a mountain located in northeast Coquitlam, British Columbia, north of Port Coquitlam on the ridge system leading to Coquitlam Mountain. Most of the mountain is part of Pinecone Burke Provincial Park. Mount Burke is found in Coquitlam near Minnekehada Park. The mountain can be accessed via Coast Meridian Road and Quarry Road. Although a significant amount of hiking is necessary to reach the peak. Although people who own cabins on the mountain may use snowmobiles instead of hiking.

Coquitlam Lake is a reservoir located just north of Coquitlam, British Columbia. It is one of the three main water sources for Metro Vancouver, and part of the Coquitlam watershed. It is also a part of BC Hydro's power generation system. A tunnel directs water from the lake to nearby Buntzen Lake, and from there to a pair of power stations.

Minnekhada Regional Park is a natural park situated in northeast Coquitlam, British Columbia, alongside Pitt-Addington Marsh and the Pitt River. It is over 200 hectares in size, and features trails, rock knolls, abundant trees, birds and other wildlife. At the centre of the park is the main marsh area, divided into upper and lower sections, divided by a dike and small footbridge. There are two main entrances to the park with parking facilities. The Quarry Road entrance serves as the primary trail access point for hikers and bird watchers. The Oliver Road entrance provides access to Minnekhada Lodge, as well as access to some of the trails. There is a secondary entrance in the northwest corner of the park, further north of the Quarry Road entrance, but there is no parking at this location. There are three primary trails through the park that follow an eastern trajectory towards the Pitt-Addington Marsh boundary: Quarry Trail Mid-Marsh Trail Lodge/Fern TrailsThere are five lookout points in the park. Of these, Low Knoll with its full view of the lower marsh, and High Knoll with its 600 ft (180 m). elevation and view of the Pitt River and Pitt Meadows beyond, are among the most popular. A full perimeter trail hike through Quarry Trail, Fern Trail, and Lodge Trail covers a distance of 5.2 km (this does not include excursions to lookout points such as High Knoll and Low Knoll). Minnekhada Regional Park is a designated Wildlife Watch site.

Westwood Motorsport Park (or Westwood Racing Circuit) was a 1.800 mi (2.897 km) 8-turn motorsport race track located in Coquitlam, British Columbia on the southern slopes of Eagle Mountain (known locally as Eagle Ridge).

The Eleanor Ward Bridge is a four-lane road bridge in Coquitlam, British Columbia. It spans the Coquitlam River, connecting the Coquitlam Town Centre area with the Burke Mountain area of northeast Coquitlam. The $25 million bridge, with a span of 127 m (417 ft.), opened on August 26, 2006.The bridge construction was part of the David Avenue Connector project, officially launched on March 1, 2004, and included a second smaller bridge over Hyde Creek and two kilometres of new road between Pipeline Road in the west to Coast Meridian Road in the east. The roadway featured two travel lanes in each direction, four new traffic signals, on-street bicycle lanes, a new sidewalk, a mixed use path and improved street lighting. At the time, it was the largest infrastructure project ever undertaken by the City of Coquitlam.The bridge was dedicated to the memory of Eleanor Ward, a longtime Coquitlam community volunteer.

Westwood Plateau is a neighbourhood in the northern region of Coquitlam, British Columbia. It is named for Westwood Motorsport Park which existed on the plateau before the community was built, and was closed in 1990 to make way for real estate development. Hampton Park Elementary School was built on top of the actual raceway.

Port Coquitlam-Burke Mountain was a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, Canada from 2001 to 2009.

Town Centre Park is a park in central Coquitlam, British Columbia, just north of the Coquitlam Centre shopping mall. The park is surrounded by Coquitlam's city hall, main police station, main fire hall, City Centre Aquatic Complex, and the David Lam campus of Douglas College, Pinetree Secondary School, as well as many houses and apartments.The Park was originally a gravel pit owned by Lafarge. It was created in the mid-1980s when the company donated Lafarge Lake to the City of Coquitlam.The park saw the addition of beach volleyball courts in 2005, and a $10 million expansion in 2006-07 which saw the building of two additional synthetic FieldTurf fields, the conversion of two existing fields to FieldTurf, new areas for shot put, javelin, and discus/hammer throw, and new parking lots.The southwest corner of the Park is host to the Lafarge Lake–Douglas Station terminus of the area's Evergreen Extension of the Millennium Line Skytrain rapid transit, which opened in late 2016. Town Centre Park hosts Coquitlam's annual Lights At Lafarge Winter Light Display.

Coquitlam Town Centre is the main commercial and retail neighbourhood for the city of Coquitlam, British Columbia. Coquitlam Town Centre covers 723 hectares (1,787 acres). The Town Centre also contains the highest concentration of high-rise condominiums in the Tri-Cities and northeastern Metro Vancouver.
