Westwood Motorsport Park (or Westwood Racing Circuit) was a 1.800 mi (2.897 km) 8-turn motorsport race track located in Coquitlam, British Columbia on the southern slopes of Eagle Mountain (known locally as Eagle Ridge).

Coquitlam Lake is a reservoir located just north of Coquitlam, British Columbia. It is one of the three main water sources for Metro Vancouver, and part of the Coquitlam watershed. It is also a part of BC Hydro's power generation system. A tunnel directs water from the lake to nearby Buntzen Lake, and from there to a pair of power stations.

Coquitlam—Port Coquitlam is a federal electoral district in British Columbia. It encompasses a portion of the former electoral district of Port Moody—Westwood—Port Coquitlam.Coquitlam—Port Coquitlam was created by the 2012 federal electoral boundaries redistribution and was legally defined in the 2013 representation order. It came into effect upon the call of the 2015 Canadian federal election, where Liberal MP Ron McKinnon won in the riding.

Eagle Mountain, also known as Eagle Ridge, is the mountainous ridge with many indistinct summits between Buntzen Lake and Coquitlam Lake near Coquitlam, British Columbia. Its proximity to Coquitlam, and the houses being built on its southern slopes (known as Westwood Plateau), make it a very popular weekend destination for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and ATV riding. There is a network of logging roads leading up the south side of the summit to a plateau area with lakes, hiking trails and mountain biking trails. In 1903, the Vancouver Power Company (now BC Hydro) built a 3.6 km (2 mi) long, 1.2 km (1 mi) deep tunnel under Eagle Mountain from Coquitlam Lake to Buntzen Lake to supply water to Vancouver's first hydroelectric power plant on Indian Arm. This tunnel, and the power plants on Indian Arm are still operational. Eagle Mountain is in Indian Arm Provincial Park.

Westwood Plateau is a neighbourhood in the northern region of Coquitlam, British Columbia. It is named for Westwood Motorsport Park which existed on the plateau before the community was built, and was closed in 1990 to make way for real estate development. Hampton Park Elementary School was built on top of the actual raceway.

Westwood Plateau Golf & Country Club, located in the Canadian city of Coquitlam, British Columbia, comprises two golf courses set into the hillside of Eagle Mountain.

The Eleanor Ward Bridge is a four-lane road bridge in Coquitlam, British Columbia. It spans the Coquitlam River, connecting the Coquitlam Town Centre area with the Burke Mountain area of northeast Coquitlam. The $25 million bridge, with a span of 127 m (417 ft.), opened on August 26, 2006.The bridge construction was part of the David Avenue Connector project, officially launched on March 1, 2004, and included a second smaller bridge over Hyde Creek and two kilometres of new road between Pipeline Road in the west to Coast Meridian Road in the east. The roadway featured two travel lanes in each direction, four new traffic signals, on-street bicycle lanes, a new sidewalk, a mixed use path and improved street lighting. At the time, it was the largest infrastructure project ever undertaken by the City of Coquitlam.The bridge was dedicated to the memory of Eleanor Ward, a longtime Coquitlam community volunteer.

Coquitlam Town Centre is the main commercial and retail neighbourhood for the city of Coquitlam, British Columbia. Coquitlam Town Centre covers 723 hectares (1,787 acres). The Town Centre also contains the highest concentration of high-rise condominiums in the Tri-Cities and northeastern Metro Vancouver.

Summit Middle School is a grade 6 to 8 public middle school within School District 43 Coquitlam, British Columbia.

Pinetree Secondary School is a high school in School District 43 Coquitlam. It is located in Coquitlam, British Columbia across from Lafarge Lake, Town Centre Park and next to the David Lam Campus of Douglas College, Pinetree shares several facilities with the Coquitlam Parks and Leisure Services and Douglas College, namely the gymnasium and outdoor fields. Current Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was briefly a substitute teacher at the school in 1998.

Town Centre Park is a park in central Coquitlam, British Columbia, just north of the Coquitlam Centre shopping mall. The park is surrounded by Coquitlam's city hall, main police station, main fire hall, City Centre Aquatic Complex, and the David Lam campus of Douglas College, Pinetree Secondary School, as well as many houses and apartments.The Park was originally a gravel pit owned by Lafarge. It was created in the mid-1980s when the company donated Lafarge Lake to the City of Coquitlam.The park saw the addition of beach volleyball courts in 2005, and a $10 million expansion in 2006-07 which saw the building of two additional synthetic FieldTurf fields, the conversion of two existing fields to FieldTurf, new areas for shot put, javelin, and discus/hammer throw, and new parking lots.The southwest corner of the Park is host to the Lafarge Lake–Douglas Station terminus of the area's Evergreen Extension of the Millennium Line Skytrain rapid transit, which opened in late 2016. Town Centre Park hosts Coquitlam's annual Lights At Lafarge Winter Light Display.

Lafarge Lake is a five-hectare man-made lake, located in Town Centre Park in central Coquitlam, British Columbia. The Evergreen Cultural Centre lies on the southwest corner of the lake, and the Water's Edge Festival is held on the lake shore for 25 continuous hours in March.The area was originally a quarry, but in the 1970s the land was transferred to the city of Coquitlam, and a successful reclamation project ensued.The lake is home to many species of waterfowl, as well as beavers, common carp, brown bullhead, bluegill, and is stocked with rainbow trout in the spring and fall.
