Fingest is a village in Buckinghamshire, England. It is in the Chiltern Hills near the border with Oxfordshire. It is about six miles WSW of High Wycombe. It lies in the civil parish of Hambleden. The parish church of St Bartholomew's dates from the early Norman period. It has an unusual tower, with a double vaulted roof. The church is a Grade I listed building.

Bolter End Sand Pit is a 0.33-hectare (0.82-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Bolter End in Buckinghamshire. It is a Geological Conservation Review site.The site is a disused sand pit. It is part of the Reading Beds, and dates to 53 million years ago. It has an unusual pebble content for Reading Beds, and is important for palaeogeographical reconstructions as it appears to represent a riverine sequence with sources from Lower Cretaceous and Upper Jurassic sequences.The site is on private land with no public access.

Cobstone Mill was built around 1816 on Turville Hill in Buckinghamshire, England, and overlooks the village of Turville. It is a smock mill that replaced the original mill that had stood there since the 16th century. The machinery was previously used in another mill in the village of Lacey Green. It was a working mill grinding cereal until 1873. Later, squatters living in the mill caused a fire which damaged the centre post. After this time the mill went further into deterioration. In 1967, for the filming of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the mill was cosmetically restored. The cap was remoulded, and a new fantail and light wooden sails added. The mill and cottage were purchased in 1971 by Hayley Mills and her first husband Roy Boulting, and extensive conversions and remodelling of the interiors were completed as well as interior and exterior restoration and conversion of the mill. The mill has been used as a film location in other films and TV programmes including: Goodnight Mister Tom The New Avengers, "House of Cards" episode. Midsomer Murders, various episodes. Horsleys Green (often incorrectly referred to as Horsley's Green) is a hamlet located on the A40 between Piddington and Stokenchurch in Buckinghamshire, England. It consists of a few houses situated either side of a narrow lane.

Studley Green is a hamlet located on the A40 between Piddington and Stokenchurch in Buckinghamshire, England. The term 'Studley Green' is also used to collectively refer to the four adjacent hamlets of Studley Green, Horsleys Green, Beacon's Bottom and Waterend.

Turville Hill is a 22.4-hectare (55-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Turville in Buckinghamshire. It is in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Cobstone Windmill, also known as Turville Windmill, is located at the top.This is a steeply sloping hill, which is a fine example of grazed chalk grassland in the southern Buckinghamshire Chilterns. There is a wide variety of plants, some of which provide food for the larvae of important butterflies on the site. Two butterflies are rare, the silver spotted skipper and the Adonis blue. Another rare invertebrate is the orange clearwing moth.There are footpaths across the hill from Turville, but the windmill is private property.

Skirmett is a hamlet in the parish of Hambleden, in Buckinghamshire, England. It lies in the Hambleden Valley in the Chiltern Hills, between the villages of Hambleden and Fingest.

Frieth Meadows is a 2.5-hectare (6.2-acre) Site of Special Scientific Interest in Frieth in Buckinghamshire. It is in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.The site consists of traditionally managed and unimproved meadows on neutral to acid soils. Plants include quaking grass, green-winged orchid, lousewort and devil's bit scabious. Hedgerows provide shelter for small mammals and birds, and both the grassland and hedges have a wide range of invertebrates.There is no public access to the site but it can be viewed from Shogmoor Lane.

Beacon's Bottom, also known as Bacon's Bottom, is a hamlet on the A40 between Piddington and Stokenchurch in England. Until 1895 it was administratively part of Oxfordshire, and was transferred to Buckinghamshire with its parent parish Stokenchurch in 1896. It was one of the principal sites of High Wycombe's 19th Century chair-making industry, known locally as bodging.

Frieth is a village in the parish of Hambleden, in Buckinghamshire, England. It lies on the top of "Frieth Hill", which is part of the chalk escarpments of the Chiltern Hills. Frieth lies at a height of around 550 feet (170 m), on the edge of a broad and deep winterbourne chalk valley in which are located the older settlements of the parish and adjacent parishes – Hambleden, Skirmett, Turville, and Fingest. Because of the shortage of surface water and the relatively poor soils – heavy clay and flint overlaying the permeable chalk – Frieth did not develop into a village until well into Victorian times. However, there are a number of ancient properties and Frieth has all the symbols of a traditional English village. As well as the church, it has a village hall, a village green, two rural pubs, a village society, fine open hilly countryside, and a small but thriving primary school. The village shop and dairy has closed.

Wheeler End is a hamlet in the parish of Piddington and Wheeler End, in Buckinghamshire, England. The hamlet is located close to the main A40 between West Wycombe and Stokenchurch. The hamlet name refers to the Wheeler family, who lived here. They were once the main brewers of High Wycombe. The hamlet itself however, is much older, dating back to the Anglo-Saxon period. Wheeler End is a collection of terraced houses and free standing properties surrounding the village common. The Common and most of the arable land surrounding the properties in the hamlet are owned by the West Wycombe Estates of Sir Edward Dashwood, Bt. There are no shops in Wheeler End, the nearest shops being either in West Wycombe or in Lane End. There is one public house in Wheeler End, The Chequers Inn.
