Upper Gwynedd Township ( ) is a township in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 15,552 at the 2010 census. North Wales Borough is surrounded by Upper Gwynedd Township on all sides, and many homes and businesses with North Wales addresses are actually in Upper Gwynedd. Many properties with Lansdale addresses are in Upper Gwynedd as well. It is part of the North Penn Valley region that is centered around the borough of Lansdale. Station Square, one of the first new transit oriented developments in the Philadelphia Suburbs, is located in Upper Gwynedd on the border with Lansdale. It is across the street from Pennbrook Station with SEPTA rail service to Philadelphia.

Lower Gwynedd Township ( Welsh pronunciation: [ˈɡwɪnɛð]) is a township in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 11,405 at the 2010 census. The township comprises four villages: Gwynedd, Gwynedd Valley, Penllyn, and Spring House. While its postal address is in Ambler, Pennsylvania (19002), it is separate from the Borough of Ambler. Lower Gwynedd Township was founded in 1698.

North Wales station is a station along the SEPTA Lansdale/Doylestown Line located at Beaver and School Streets in North Wales, Pennsylvania. In FY 2017, North Wales station had a weekday average of 974 boardings and 855 alightings. The station includes a 167-space parking lot. Parking is available on both sides of the tracks between Beaver Street and Walnut Street, which includes an entrance at Walnut and 5th Streets. The east parking lot runs between the tracks and 6th Street/Railroad Street. School Street runs through the west parking lot, and then turns southwest while that parking lot continues to follow the tracks, almost reaching Walnut Street. North Wales station was originally built in 1873 by the Reading Railroad, and previously contained a cupola over the ticket window, iron support under the overhanging roof, and a matching shelter on the opposite side of the tracks. At some point it was moved 2500 feet from its previous location, the cupola was removed, and the support beams were replaced with wood.

Summarily, many businesses and residences with North Wales addresses are located in outlying townships that were never annexed by the borough, such as the Montgomery Mall in Montgomery Township. North Wales is in the North Penn School District.

The Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary (CBS) was an evangelical seminary in the Baptist tradition, located in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. It has 558 alumni and provided master's and doctoral degrees to clergy candidates across various conservative Baptist denominations. The school was accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.The school was founded by Dr. Robert Jordan, the minister at the Calvary Baptist Church of Lansdale. In 1979, just prior to the graduation of the first class, the state of Pennsylvania approved the school for official seminary designation. Initially offering only a Master's of Divinity degree, a Master's of Theology program was added in 1985. In 1986, the school became a doctoral institute, as it added a Doctor of Divinity program. Two more degrees, which relate to missionary work and religious education, were added in 2004. In August 2013, it was announced that Calvary Baptist Seminary would be closing at the end of the upcoming academic year. It graduated its last class of 42 students on May 16, 2014. Its building was repurposed as Calvary Baptist Church.

Evans-Mumbower Mill is a historic grist mill located on Wissahickon Creek in Upper Gwynedd Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It was built 1835, and is a 3+1⁄2-story, banked-stucco-over-stone building with a two-story, wood-frame reproduction addition. It was in use as a mill until 1930. It housed an Oliver Evans milling system.The Evans-Mumbower Mill is now owned by the Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association. The mill is open for public tours and demonstrations once a month. The mill was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

Pennbrook station is a station along the SEPTA Lansdale/Doylestown Line, north of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. In FY 2013, Pennbrook station had a weekday average of 467 boardings and 371 alightings.The station is located at Church Road and Cherry Street in the Pennbrook section of the borough of Lansdale and features a 222 space parking lot. Most of these parking spaces are located on the east side of Church Road and are on Borough of Lansdale property. The lots on the west side of Church Road are on SEPTA property. Overnight parking is allowed by prior arrangement on the SEPTA lots. It is not allowed on the Lansdale lots. This station consists of two acrylic glass shelters on both platforms.

The North Penn Valley is a region of Philadelphia suburbs and exurbs in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It is somewhat congruent with the North Penn School District. It contains the boroughs of North Wales, Lansdale, and Hatfield as well as the surrounding townships. The area to its west has traditionally been more rural, while the suburbs to its south and east are on the whole more affluent and densely populated. The North Penn Valley has a total area of 42 square miles (110 km2) and a population of 97,957. It is included in the greater Philadelphia Metropolitan Statistical Area.

North Penn High School is a part of the North Penn School District and is located in Towamencin Township, Pennsylvania, about a mile outside of Lansdale borough, 25 miles northwest of Philadelphia, along Valley Forge Road (Pennsylvania Route 363). North Penn High School was created in 1955 as the result of a consolidation of seven school districts (Hatfield Joint Consolidated, Lansdale Borough, Line Lexington Independent, Montgomery Township, North Wales Borough, Towamencin Township and Upper Gwynedd Township) to educate students from three former high schools: Hatfield High School, Lansdale High School, and North Wales High School. The original North Penn High School building was an expansion of the building that had served as Lansdale High School since the 1930s. The former Hatfield and North Wales buildings were eventually converted to elementary schools. The North Wales building is still used for this purpose today. The Hatfield building, later renamed the E.B. Laudenslager Elementary School, was replaced by a newer building in 1971. The current North Penn High School was constructed in 1971 because of severe overcrowding at the original school. The former high school building, located on Penn Street in Lansdale, is now Penndale Middle School. North Penn High School is among the largest statewide, with student enrollment for the 2005–2006 school year at 3,423. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors are represented at the high school. Freshmen, although commonly the first year of high school, only occasionally attend certain classes, and are regularly enrolled in one of these three middle schools: Penndale Middle School, Pennbrook Middle School, and Pennfield Middle School. The middle schools enroll grades 7–9, while the elementary schools enroll grades K–6.

Lansdale Silk Hosiery Compy-Interstate Hosiery Mills, Inc. is a historic silk mill complex located at Lansdale, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It was built in four interconnected phases between 1922 and 1961, with the original 1922 building (with additions), as well as the 1932 building, included in the listing. The original building was built in 1922, with additions constructed in 1926, 1928, and 1929. The building is two stories tall, and sits on a brownstone foundation. The 1932 building is a three-story, red brick building with a flat roof and brick parapet. The complex produced women's full-fashioned silk hosiery. It was occupied by textile manufacturers into the 1970s.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.
