The North Penn Valley is a region of Philadelphia suburbs and exurbs in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It is somewhat congruent with the North Penn School District. It contains the boroughs of North Wales, Lansdale, and Hatfield as well as the surrounding townships. The area to its west has traditionally been more rural, while the suburbs to its south and east are on the whole more affluent and densely populated. The North Penn Valley has a total area of 42 square miles (110 km2) and a population of 97,957. It is included in the greater Philadelphia Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Lansdale Silk Hosiery Compy-Interstate Hosiery Mills, Inc. is a historic silk mill complex located at Lansdale, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It was built in four interconnected phases between 1922 and 1961, with the original 1922 building (with additions), as well as the 1932 building, included in the listing. The original building was built in 1922, with additions constructed in 1926, 1928, and 1929. The building is two stories tall, and sits on a brownstone foundation. The 1932 building is a three-story, red brick building with a flat roof and brick parapet. The complex produced women's full-fashioned silk hosiery. It was occupied by textile manufacturers into the 1970s.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Jenkins Homestead is a historic home located at Lansdale, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It was built about 1805, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, five bay, stucco over stone dwelling. It has two front entryways, one entering onto a through central hallway. It is the oldest structure in Lansdale.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

Lansdale is a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, northwest of Philadelphia. It is a densely-populated commuter town, with many residents traveling daily to Philadelphia using SEPTA Regional Rail's Lansdale/Doylestown Line. In 1900, 2,754 people lived here; in 1910, 3,551; and in 1940, 9,316 people were inhabitants of Lansdale. The population was 16,269 at the time of the 2010 census. The Lansdale/Doylestown Line is a SEPTA Regional Rail line connecting Center City Philadelphia to Doylestown in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Until 1981, diesel-powered trains continued on the Bethlehem Branch from Lansdale to Quakertown, Bethlehem, and Allentown. Restored service has been proposed, but is not planned by SEPTA. The line is currently used by the East Penn Railroad, serving Quakertown's industrial complexes and distribution centers. With around 17,000 daily riders every weekday in 2019, it is the second busiest line in SEPTA's Regional Rail network.

Lansdale station, also known as the Lansdale Transportation Center, is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. Located at Main Street (PA 63) and Green Street, it serves the Lansdale/Doylestown Line. It was originally built in 1902 by the Reading Company, opening on February 7, 1903; a freight house was added in 1909. Historically, the station hosted the Interstate Express (north to Syracuse) and the Scranton Flyer (north to Scranton). Additionally, the station served commuter trains on the Reading's branch to Bethlehem until service was ended in 1981. The historic station building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2021.In FY 2013, Lansdale station had a weekday average of 1396 boardings and 1272 alightings.The station features a 178-space parking lot and a 660-space parking garage. The parking garage at Lansdale station opened on April 17, 2017, offering hundreds of additional parking spaces at the station. Lansdale station is near the SEPTA's 25 Hz Traction Power System plant, originally built by the RDG. The station interior was formerly home to an internet café, and Italian deli called "A Little Something Nice". Lansdale station was formerly an important transfer point between electric and Budd Rail Diesel Car (RDCs) service to points north, such as Quakertown, Bethlehem, and Allentown. RDC service on the Bethlehem Line was eliminated in 1981 due to budget cuts. Proposals for service restoration to Quakertown have been floated around since the late 1990s, but nothing has gone past the discussion phase. Service restoration beyond Quakertown is no longer generally considered a feasible option, due to SEPTA's leasing of the railroad right-of-way for use as an interim walking trail beyond Quakertown. The station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 13, 2021 as the Philadelphia & Reading Railway: Lansdale Passenger Station.

Upper Gwynedd Township ( ) is a township in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 15,552 at the 2010 census. North Wales Borough is surrounded by Upper Gwynedd Township on all sides, and many homes and businesses with North Wales addresses are actually in Upper Gwynedd. Many properties with Lansdale addresses are in Upper Gwynedd as well. It is part of the North Penn Valley region that is centered around the borough of Lansdale. Station Square, one of the first new transit oriented developments in the Philadelphia Suburbs, is located in Upper Gwynedd on the border with Lansdale. It is across the street from Pennbrook Station with SEPTA rail service to Philadelphia.

Lower Gwynedd Township ( Welsh pronunciation: [ˈɡwɪnɛð]) is a township in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 11,405 at the 2010 census. The township comprises four villages: Gwynedd, Gwynedd Valley, Penllyn, and Spring House. While its postal address is in Ambler, Pennsylvania (19002), it is separate from the Borough of Ambler. Lower Gwynedd Township was founded in 1698.

North Wales station is a station along the SEPTA Lansdale/Doylestown Line located at Beaver and School Streets in North Wales, Pennsylvania. In FY 2017, North Wales station had a weekday average of 974 boardings and 855 alightings. The station includes a 167-space parking lot. Parking is available on both sides of the tracks between Beaver Street and Walnut Street, which includes an entrance at Walnut and 5th Streets. The east parking lot runs between the tracks and 6th Street/Railroad Street. School Street runs through the west parking lot, and then turns southwest while that parking lot continues to follow the tracks, almost reaching Walnut Street. North Wales station was originally built in 1873 by the Reading Railroad, and previously contained a cupola over the ticket window, iron support under the overhanging roof, and a matching shelter on the opposite side of the tracks. At some point it was moved 2500 feet from its previous location, the cupola was removed, and the support beams were replaced with wood.

North Wales is a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 3,229 as of the 2010 census. Like many small boroughs in Pennsylvania, North Wales is at "build out", meaning that its boundaries have not kept up with population growth. Summarily, many businesses and residences with North Wales addresses are located in outlying townships that were never annexed by the borough, such as the Montgomery Mall in Montgomery Township. North Wales is in the North Penn School District.
