Temperance Wick (October 30, 1758 – April 26, 1822), also known as Tempe Wick and Tempe, was an American Revolutionary War heroine and the subject of many early American legends. She is traditionally regarded as an example of female patriotism in the early Republic, though many scholars and historians dispute the historical accuracy of the stories and traditions surrounding her life.

Mendham Township is a township in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, located more than 30 miles (48 km) due west of New York City. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 6,016, an increase of 147 (+2.5%) from the 2010 census count of 5,869, which in turn reflected an increase of 469 (+8.7%) from the 5,400 counted in the 2000 census.Periodically recognized as part of the Somerset Hills, Mendham Township is located in the Raritan Valley region within the New York Metropolitan area. Delbarton School is a private all-male Catholic college-preparatory school in Morristown, New Jersey for young men in seventh through twelfth grades. It is an independent school directed by the Benedictine monks of St. Mary's Abbey and is located geographically within the Diocese of Paterson.As of the 2019–20 school year, the school had an enrollment of 609 students and 84.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 7.2:1. The school's student body was 80.3% (489) White, 8.9% (54) Asian, 5.1% (31) Hispanic, 3.6% (22) Black, 2.0% (12) two or more races and 0.2% (1) Native Hawaiian/ Pacific Islander.
