Cross Estate Gardens

The New Jersey Brigade Encampment Site, also called the New Jersey Brigade Area, was used by the Continental Army in the winter of 1779–80, during the American Revolutionary War. The site is located in Bernardsville, Somerset County, New Jersey and extends into Harding Township, Morris County. About 1,300 men of the New Jersey Brigade were encamped here. It is one of four contributing sites of the Morristown National Historical Park. The Cross Estate Gardens property was added in 1975.The Patriots' Path, also known as the New Jersey Brigade Trail here, is needed to access the marked historical sites. One trailhead is on Hardscrabble Road, another on Jockey Hollow Road.

The James B. Christie House is a large, flat-roofed Usonian on a wooded site in Bernardsville, in Somerset County, New Jersey, United States. The Christie House, built in 1940, is Frank Lloyd Wright's oldest and, at 2,000 square feet (190 m2), Wright's largest house in New Jersey. The residence has one story and is made of brick, cypress, and redwood. It is designed in an L-shaped plan with a rectangular living room and a dining area that is perpendicular to a wing with three bedrooms and three baths. The kitchen is in the corner of the L, like a hinge connecting the two sections, separating public from private areas. The flat roof with its overhanging soffit reinforces the sprawling horizontal design. Wright advised James B. Christie, his first New Jersey client, to select a setting that has "as much individuality as to topography and features—stream, trees, etc. and as much freedom from adjacent buildings as is possible."

Mendham Township is a township in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, located more than 30 miles (48 km) due west of New York City. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 6,016, an increase of 147 (+2.5%) from the 2010 census count of 5,869, which in turn reflected an increase of 469 (+8.7%) from the 5,400 counted in the 2000 census.Periodically recognized as part of the Somerset Hills, Mendham Township is located in the Raritan Valley region within the New York Metropolitan area. Based on data from the ACS for 2014–2018, Mendham Township ranked fifth in the state with a median household income of $185,882.In 2010, Forbes.com listed Mendham as 224th in its listing of "America's Most Expensive ZIP Codes", with a median home price of $1,006,491.

The Tempe Wick Road–Washington Corners Historic District is a 353-acre (143 ha) historic district located in Harding Township and Mendham Township in Morris County, New Jersey. It extends along Tempe Wick Road from Mount Kemble Avenue (U.S. Route 202) to Cold Hill Road, and short segments of Corey Lane, Cemetery Road, Kennaday Road, Leddell Road, and Jockey Hollow Road. Tempe Wick Road is named for Temperance Wick. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 25, 2000, for its significance in architecture and military history. The district includes 44 contributing buildings, 6 contributing sites, 10 contributing structures, and 4 contributing objects.

Jockey Hollow is the name for an area in southern Morris County, New Jersey farmed in the 18th century by the Wick, Guerin and Kemble families. The origin of the name is still uncertain, but was used as such at the time of the American Revolution. For most of the Revolutionary War, it was used by portions of Continental Army as a winter camp site, and it housed the main Continental Army during the "Hard Winter" of 1779–80, believed to be the harshest winter in recorded history. It is located in Harding Township and Mendham Township, in Morris County, New Jersey. Since 1933, the Wick House has been part of Morristown National Historical Park in Morristown, New Jersey. Morristown National Historical Park is administered by the National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior.

Temperance Wick (October 30, 1758 – April 26, 1822), also known as Tempe Wick and Tempe, was an American Revolutionary War heroine and the subject of many early American legends. She is traditionally regarded as an example of female patriotism in the early Republic, though many scholars and historians dispute the historical accuracy of the stories and traditions surrounding her life.

Franklin Corners is an unincorporated community located along the Passaic River at the intersection of County Route 613 (Childs Road) and U.S. Route 202 (Morristown Road) in Bernards Township of Somerset County, New Jersey. In the 19th century, it had a grist mill, saw mill, general store, school, and several houses. The Franklin Corners Historic District, featuring Van Dorn's Mill, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

The Somerset Hills Regional School District is a comprehensive regional public school district serving students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade from four communities in Somerset County, New Jersey, United States. The district serves students from the boroughs of Bernardsville, Far Hills and Peapack-Gladstone, along with students from the township of Bedminster (grades 9–12) who attend the district's high school as part of a sending/receiving relationship.As of the 2020–21 school year, the district, comprised of three schools, had an enrollment of 1,797 students and 155.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.6:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "I", the second-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.

Bernards High School is a comprehensive four-year regional public high school serving students in ninth through twelfth grades in Somerset County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The school is part of the Somerset Hills Regional School District, a regional K–12 school district that consists of the participating municipalities of Bernardsville, Far Hills and Peapack-Gladstone. Students from Bedminster are sent to the district's high school for grades 9-12 as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Bedminster Township School District. The school is located in Bernardsville, within walking distance from the main section of Bernardsville. The school is overseen by the New Jersey Department of Education. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 797 students and 68.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.7:1. There were 51 students (6.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 17 (2.1% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

St. Bernard's Church and Parish House is a historic church complex located at 88 Claremont Road in the borough of Bernardsville in Somerset County, New Jersey. This Episcopal Church in the Episcopal Diocese of New Jersey is named after St. Bernard of Clairvaux. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 6, 2006, for its significance in architecture.

The Reynolds–Scherman House is a historic house located at 71 Hardscrable Road in the borough of Bernardsville in Somerset County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 29, 1989, for its significance in architecture, industry, and literature.

The John Parker Tavern is a historic building located at 2 Morristown Road (U.S. Route 202) in the borough of Bernardsville in Somerset County, New Jersey. Originally known as the Vealtown Tavern, it was frequently used by Continental Army soldiers during the American Revolutionary War. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 14, 1978 for its significance in commerce, military history, and local history.
