James B. Christie House

The New Jersey Brigade Encampment Site, also called the New Jersey Brigade Area, was used by the Continental Army in the winter of 1779–80, during the American Revolutionary War. The site is located in Bernardsville, Somerset County, New Jersey and extends into Harding Township, Morris County. About 1,300 men of the New Jersey Brigade were encamped here. It is one of four contributing sites of the Morristown National Historical Park. The Cross Estate Gardens property was added in 1975.The Patriots' Path, also known as the New Jersey Brigade Trail here, is needed to access the marked historical sites. One trailhead is on Hardscrabble Road, another on Jockey Hollow Road.

Cross Estate Gardens, containing both formal and native plant gardens, is located at 61 Jockey Hollow Road, Bernardsville, Somerset County, New Jersey. It is on the New Jersey Brigade Encampment Site of the Morristown National Historical Park. The property was acquired in 1975 by the National Park Service.

Mendham Township is a township in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, located more than 30 miles (48 km) due west of New York City. The Tempe Wick Road–Washington Corners Historic District is a 353-acre (143 ha) historic district located in Harding Township and Mendham Township in Morris County, New Jersey. It extends along Tempe Wick Road from Mount Kemble Avenue (U.S. Route 202) to Cold Hill Road, and short segments of Corey Lane, Cemetery Road, Kennaday Road, Leddell Road, and Jockey Hollow Road. Tempe Wick Road is named for Temperance Wick. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 25, 2000, for its significance in architecture and military history. The district includes 44 contributing buildings, 6 contributing sites, 10 contributing structures, and 4 contributing objects.

Jockey Hollow is the name for an area in southern Morris County, New Jersey farmed in the 18th century by the Wick, Guerin and Kemble families. The origin of the name is still uncertain, but was used as such at the time of the American Revolution. For most of the Revolutionary War, it was used by portions of Continental Army as a winter camp site, and it housed the main Continental Army during the "Hard Winter" of 1779–80, believed to be the harshest winter in recorded history. It is located in Harding Township and Mendham Township, in Morris County, New Jersey. Since 1933, the Wick House has been part of Morristown National Historical Park in Morristown, New Jersey. Morristown National Historical Park is administered by the National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior.

Temperance Wick (October 30, 1758 – April 26, 1822), also known as Tempe Wick and Tempe, was an American Revolutionary War heroine and the subject of many early American legends. She is traditionally regarded as an example of female patriotism in the early Republic, though many scholars and historians dispute the historical accuracy of the stories and traditions surrounding her life.

Franklin Corners is an unincorporated community located along the Passaic River at the intersection of County Route 613 (Childs Road) and U.S. Route 202 (Morristown Road) in Bernards Township of Somerset County, New Jersey. In the 19th century, it had a grist mill, saw mill, general store, school, and several houses. The Franklin Corners Historic District, featuring Van Dorn's Mill, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

The Peter Kemble House is a historic house built around 1750 and located on Mount Kemble Avenue (U.S. Route 202) at Old Camp Road in Harding Township, New Jersey. It was documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey in 1937. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 26, 1980 for its significance in commerce, military history, and government. The Georgian style house was added as a contributing property of the Tempe Wick Road–Washington Corners Historic District on August 25, 2000.

The Somerset Hills Regional School District is a comprehensive regional public school district serving students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade from four communities in Somerset County, New Jersey, United States. The district serves students from the boroughs of Bernardsville, Far Hills and Peapack-Gladstone, along with students from the township of Bedminster (grades 9–12) who attend the district's high school as part of a sending/receiving relationship.As of the 2020–21 school year, the district, comprised of three schools, had an enrollment of 1,797 students and 155.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.6:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "I", the second-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. Bernards High School is a comprehensive four-year regional public high school serving students in ninth through twelfth grades in Somerset County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The school is part of the Somerset Hills Regional School District, a regional K–12 school district that consists of the participating municipalities of Bernardsville, Far Hills and Peapack-Gladstone. Students from Bedminster are sent to the district's high school for grades 9-12 as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Bedminster Township School District. The school is located in Bernardsville, within walking distance from the main section of Bernardsville. The school is overseen by the New Jersey Department of Education. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 797 students and 68.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.7:1. There were 51 students (6.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 17 (2.1% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

St. Bernard's Church and Parish House is a historic church complex located at 88 Claremont Road in the borough of Bernardsville in Somerset County, New Jersey. This Episcopal Church in the Episcopal Diocese of New Jersey is named after St. Bernard of Clairvaux. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 6, 2006, for its significance in architecture.

The Reynolds–Scherman House is a historic house located at 71 Hardscrable Road in the borough of Bernardsville in Somerset County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 29, 1989, for its significance in architecture, industry, and literature.
