Clarendon House

The Royal Arcade, in the upscale shopping district of Mayfair, London is an historic Victorian era shopping arcade that runs from 12 Albemarle Street to 28 Old Bond Street. Completed in 1880, it was designed by architects Archer & Green and is Grade II listed.

The Albemarle Club was a private members' club at 13 Albemarle Street, London, founded in 1874 and open to both men and women. It closed in 1941.

The Piccadilly Gallery was an art gallery which operated from a number of addresses in London between 1953 and 2007. It was originally founded as the Pilkington Gallery in 1953 by Eve Pilkington and her late husband Godfrey Pilkington, with a focus on exhibiting the works of figurative artists in the styles of Art Nouveau and 19th and 20th Century Symbolism. In 1954 they were joined by Christabel Briggs. In 2007, following the passing of co-founder Godfrey Pilkington, the gallery closed their public store front. The gallery operated from a number of West End addresses, first from bomb-damaged premises in the Piccadilly Arcade, and then on to 16a Cork Street in 1954. In 1978 they moved next door to No.16 Cork Street, and in 1999 the gallery temporarily moved to Dover Street.They promoted the artists Adrian Berg as well as Max Beerbohm, Gwen John, Eric Gill and William Roberts as well as hosting major exhibitions of Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele and the German Neue Sachlichkeit.Listings of the gallery's exhibitions and correspondences are held by the Tate.

Marlborough Fine Art was founded in London in 1946 by Frank Lloyd and Harry Fischer. In 1963, a gallery was opened as Marlborough-Gerson in Manhattan, New York, at the Fuller Building on Madison Avenue and 57th Street, which later relocated in 1971 to its present location, 40 West 57th Street. The gallery operates another New York space on West 25th Street, which opened in 2007. It briefly opened a Lower East Side space on Broome Street.

Dover Street Market was created by Rei Kawakubo of Japanese fashion label Comme des Garçons and her husband Adrian Joffe. Albemarle Street is a street in Mayfair in central London, off Piccadilly. It has historic associations with Lord Byron, whose publisher John Murray was based here, and Oscar Wilde, a member of the Albemarle Club, where an insult he received led to his suing for libel and to his eventual imprisonment. It is also known for its art galleries and the Brown's Hotel is located at 33 Albemarle Street.

The Arts Club is a London private members club founded in 1863 by, among others, Charles Dickens, Anthony Trollope, and Lord Leighton in Dover Street, Mayfair. It remains a meeting place for men and women involved in the creative arts either professionally or as patrons.

The gallery has held a number of critically acclaimed Old Master exhibitions, of which the most significant include displays of works by the Caravaggisti, Bartolomeo Manfredi, Caspar van Wittel, Giacomo Ceruti, and Antonio Joli.Its most significant sales include an Artemisia Gentileschi self-portrait sold to the National Gallery in London and a work by Jean-Léon Gérôme acquired by the Frick Collection in New York.

The Jubilee Line Extension (JLE) is the extension of the London Underground Jubilee line from Green Park to Stratford through south and east London. An eastward extension of the line was first proposed in the 1970s. As part of the development of London Docklands, the line was extended to serve Canary Wharf and other areas of south and east London. Construction began in 1993, and it opened in stages from May to December 1999.

Albemarle Gallery was an art gallery located in Mayfair, London. The gallery opened in 1986 and featured figurative to hyper-realist artwork by local and international contemporary painters and sculptors. This gallery closed in 1993.

The Stafford Gallery was an early 20th-century art gallery in London. Artists whose works were exhibited there include both internationally known painters such as Pablo Picasso, Paul Gauguin, Paul Cézanne and Gustave Courbet and significant English figures such as Walter Sickert and Sir William Nicholson. The gallery opened in the early years of the century at 34 Old Bond Street, London W., on the corner with Stafford Street; but by 1910 had moved to 1 Duke Street, St. James's.

The Junior Naval and Military Club was a short-lived London gentlemen's club, which existed between 1870 and 1879. It was a proprietary club founded by one Captain John Elliott, in response to the heavy over-subscription of existing clubs for servicemen, such as the Naval and Military Club and the Army and Navy Club. The club opened its doors in August 1870, in temporary premises at 19 Dover Street, and by June of the following year, it already had some 270 members, and its patrons and honorary members included the Prince of Wales, Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh, the French Emperor Napoleon III, and the latter's son Louis Napoléon, Prince Imperial. Meanwhile, a sumptuous clubhouse was erected at 66-68 Pall Mall during 1874–5, being ready by the end of 1875. However, the lavish scale of the construction appears to have ruined the club's owner, with bankruptcy proceedings pending in June 1878. By the following year, the club had closed.Subsequent occupants of the Pall Mall building seem to have been dogged by misfortune - the tenure of both the Beaconsfield Club (1880–1887) and the Unionist Club (1888–1892) were to be short-lived.
