Sacred Heart Girls' College (SHGC) is an independent Roman Catholic secondary school for girls from years 7 to 12 located in the Melbourne south-eastern suburb of Oakleigh, in Victoria, Australia. It was opened in 1957 by the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions (RNDM). The College houses approximately 1000 students, and continues to grow. It has a proud history of strong academic performance and provides many curricular and co-curricular activities for its students including a vibrant music program, a multitude of sporting opportunities, an Outdoor Learning Program, public speaking and debating. The school is affiliated with the Alliance of Girls' Schools Australasia (AGSA), as well as the South Eastern Sporting Group (SESG) and the Secondary Catholic Sporting Association (SCSA). The school offers the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), and consistently ranks in the Top 100 schools in Victoria for VCE, as well as in the Top 10 Catholic schools in Victoria for VCE. In 2022, the school celebrates 65 years of educating young women at their current Warrigal Road campus.

Oakleigh railway station is a commuter railway station in the suburb of Oakleigh, south east of Melbourne. Victoria. The station opened in 1877 as the up end of the Gippsland line, with the station being electrified in 1922. The station consists of two island platforms which offer direct street access and are connected via a pedestrian subway. There is a station building on both platforms which functions as a ticket office, a waiting room and a toilet. The station is fully accessible as there are lifts and accessible ramps provided at the station.Oakleigh station is currently served by the Pakenham and Cranbourne lines which are both part of the Melbourne Railway Network. Oakleigh Grammar is an independent Christian school in the Melbourne, Australia suburb of Oakleigh. It is an International Baccalaureate World School which currently caters for 800 students from Early Learning [ELC] to year 12. The school was founded in 1983 commencing with a year level range of Prep to Year 8. It expanded to a full Independent School offering education from Kindergarten to year 12 in 1999. The name was changed from Oakleigh Greek Orthodox College to Oakleigh Grammar on 1 January 2012.

The format is 72-hole stroke play; the first and third days were four-ball (best ball), and the second and fourth days were foursomes (alternate shot) play.The Belgian pair of Thomas Pieters and Thomas Detry won with a score of 265, 23-under-par. Australia and Mexico tied for second place, three strokes behind. It was Belgium's first victory in the World Cup.

The 2001 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship was a golf tournament that was played from 3–7 January 2001 at Metropolitan Golf Club in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It was the third WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship and the first of three World Golf Championships events held in 2001. Steve Stricker won his first and only World Golf Championships event at the match-play, by defeating Pierre Fulke 2&1 in the 36 hole final.
