Essex Engine Plant is a Ford factory located in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. It currently produces Ford's 5.0L V8 engine. The plant was built in 1981 to produce Ford's Essex V6 engine.

Essex Aluminum Plant is a former Ford Motor Company metal casting plant in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. It opened in 1981, and produced aluminum cylinder heads and pistons for various Ford engine plants. In 2001, the plant was sold to Nemak, a joint venture between Ford and Mexican industrial conglomerate Alfa. With Nemak's consolidation of its operations in 2009, the plant was closed except for the melting operation, which closed in 2012.

Forest Glade is an urban/suburban community located in the east end of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Forest Glade forms a large section of the Windsor's border with Tecumseh, Ontario and is situated near the former town of Riverside, Ontario. It has an estimated population of 19,000 people. The physical borders of the community are Tecumseh Road East to the North, Banwell Road to the East, Lauzon Road to the West, and E.C. Row Expressway to the South. Forest Glade is accessed from three directions: West (off Lauzon Parkway), north (off Tecumseh Road East), and east (off Banwell Road). Nearby to a Tecumseh Road entrance is an entrance to the Ganatchio Trail, as well as a multitude of fast food restaurants, Tecumseh Mall, and several grocery stores. It has quick access to E.C. Row Expressway and is home to the easternmost sections of Transit Windsors 1C, 4, and 10 bus routes, providing excellent access to virtually anywhere in the city.

The Serbian Heritage Museum is not-for-profit community museum in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, located inside the Serbian Center. It is the largest Serbian museum located outside of Serbia. Exhibits in the museum are bilingual (Serbian and English).

The Little River Extension (full name: Ganatchio Trail – Little River Extension) is one of the newest and busiest recreational trails in Windsor, Ontario, having been built in 1996. The trail is used mainly as a link between the large subdivision of Forest Glade, to Ganatchio Trail, Sandpoint Beach, Stop 26 Beach, and Lakeview Park And Marina. The trail has a posted speed limit of 20 kilometres per hour (12 mph).The Trail was sponsored by Lions Club International, Kiwanis, and Rotary International, as a gesture of goodwill for the eastern side of the city. The trail sees a great deal of traffic in the summer time, but nowhere near as much as the Riverfront Bike Trail. The trail has a commemorative sign depicting its length, map location, and a sign for the Lions Club International and Rotary International at the northern roundabout/traffic circle with the Ganatchio Trail. The trail also has a second roundabout/traffic circle with the extension of Little River Road, which leads west towards the Riverside and Villages of Riverside neighbourhoods.

St. Joseph's Catholic High School is a Catholic high school in Windsor, Ontario operated by the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board. L. Beltran is the current principal. A new school 160,000 square feet (15,000 m2) in size with space for more than 1,200 students has been built at the corner of McHugh and Clover Avenue, just north of Tecumseh Road East in Windsor. It opened in September 2006. This newer school has replaced the former one at 5420 Empress Street in Windsor. The new school building includes a physical education workout facility, cafetorium, football field & track, atrium, and the St. Joseph's Chapel. St. Joseph's has a wide variety of sports also including football, soccer, baseball, volleyball, basketball, badminton, curling, wrestling and golf. St. Joseph's High School currently offers Specialist High Skills Major programs in six areas of study: Health and Wellness, Visual Arts & Media, Construction Technology, Business, French Non-Profit, and Environmental. Windsor International Airport (IATA: YQG, ICAO: CYQG) is located in the southeast portion of the city of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The airport serves a mixture of scheduled airline flights and general aviation, and is a popular point of entry into Canada for private and business aircraft. The airspace above the airport is exceptionally busy because of the proximity to Detroit Metropolitan Airport, and Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) arrivals and departures are handled by Detroit approach control. The airport is classified as an airport of entry by Nav Canada and is staffed by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). CBSA officers at this airport can handle aircraft up to 325 passengers, and can handle up to 450 if the aircraft is unloaded in stages.

Windsor—Tecumseh is a provincial electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario since the 2007 provincial election and as Windsor—St. Clair for the 1999 provincial election and 2003 provincial elections. It was created in 1996 from parts of Windsor—Riverside and Windsor—Walkerville. It consists of the Town of Tecumseh, and the part of the City of Windsor lying east and north of a line drawn from the U.S. border southeast along Langlois Avenue, east along Tecumseh Road East, and southeast along Pillette Road to the southern city limit.

Riverside is a neighbourhood on the eastern edge of Windsor, Ontario, in Canada. It is best defined by Riverside Drive, a waterfront road which runs parallel to the Detroit River. The western boundary is approximately Westminster Boulevard running easterly to Rendezvous Shores and the Windsor/Tecumseh town line. That town line is formally defined by a drainage ditch to the eastern side of the Rendezvous property. Rendezvous Shores is a recent development on the lands which were a large grass field between a marine basin and the Rendezvous Tavern. The Tavern was approximately 350 metres (1,150 feet) south of the Lake St. Clair shore and the marine basin, while the adjoining properties were a maximum of roughly 250 metres (800 feet); thus, the marine basin jutted out into the southwest corner of Lake St. Clair. Most of the structure was break wall which was later landfilled to the east, and on most marine charts is referred to as Askin's Point. Riverside was a town until it was annexed by Windsor on January 1, 1966. It truly extends all the way to Tecumseh on the eastern side, but the 3 mile (4.8 km) stretch along Riverside Drive of waterfront property and farms would retrospectively be called a hamlet in the city plans.
