Utah State Prison (USP) is one of two prisons managed by the Utah Department of Corrections' Division of Institutional Operations. It is located in Draper, Utah, United States, about 20 miles southwest of Salt Lake City.

Juan Diego Catholic High School (JDCHS) is a parochial school located in the Salt Lake City suburb of Draper, Utah by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City.

Draper is a city in Salt Lake and Utah counties in the U.S. state of Utah, located about 20 miles (32 km) south of Salt Lake City along the Wasatch Front. As of the 2020 census, the population is 51,017, having grown from 7,143 in 1990.Draper is part of two metropolitan areas - the Salt Lake County portion is included in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area, while the Utah County portion is part of the Provo-Orem metropolitan area. The Utah State Prison is located in Draper, near Point of the Mountain, alongside Interstate 15. The execution of Gary Gilmore took place there on January 17, 1977. The Utah Legislature voted to relocate the state prison in Draper in 2014 and approved the Salt Lake City location recommended by the prison relocation commission in August 2015. The Draper Prison will be closing in 2022. Inmates will be moved from the Utah State Prison in Draper to the new prison facility in Salt Lake City; the new prison is slated for completion in mid-2022.Draper has two UTA TRAX stations (Draper Town Center, 12300/12400 South and Kimball's Lane 11800 South) as well as one on the border with Sandy (Crescent View 11400 South). A FrontRunner commuter rail station serves the city's west side. The city has around 5 FLEX bus routes connecting neighboring communities and 2 bus routes to Lehi Frontrunner Station and River/Herriman connecting at Draper Town Center and the Draper Frontrunner Stations respectively. The city is home of 1-800 Contacts and a large eBay campus.

The Skaggs Catholic Center is a 57 acres (230,000 m2) school and church campus in Draper, Utah, United States. It is the location of Juan Diego Catholic High School, Saint John the Baptist Middle School, Saint John the Baptist Elementary School, Guardian Angel Daycare, and the St. John the Baptist Parish Catholic church. Opened in 1999, the campus was funded by Leonard Samuel (Sam) Skaggs, Jr. (retired chairman of American Stores) and his wife Ailene, who donated $42 million to build the facility as a flagship for the Catholic community in predominantly-Mormon Utah. (Sam Skaggs was not a Catholic at the time he conceived the idea, although he later converted.) Upon its opening, the facility was reported to be the largest Catholic education campus in the United States, and the largest gift made for Catholic primary and secondary education.

The 1938 South Jordan rail crossing disaster was a collision between a school bus and a train at a level crossing resulting in the deaths of 24 people, 23 of which were students on their way to school. The accident is the basis for an urban legend in San Antonio, Texas.

Corner Canyon High School is a public school in Draper, Utah. It is the newest high school in the Canyons School District. Its colors are navy, silver and white, and its mascot is the Chargers.

The Riverton Elementary School, at 12830 S. Redwood Rd. in Riverton, Utah, was built during 1925-30 and is the oldest public school building surviving in Riverton. According to its NRHP nomination in 1996, it is significant historically as representing "the adaptation of schools to meet the needs associated with providing appropriately sized and wholesomely designed spaces in which children could be taught," and for its long service in the community of Riverton.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.It now houses the Riverton City Office.

The Joseph E. and Mina W. Mickelsen House is a historic house located at 782 East Pioneer Road in Draper, Utah.

Willow Creek is a tributary stream of the Jordan River, in Salt Lake County, Utah. Its mouth is at its confluence with the Jordan River, west of Draper at an elevation of 4,318 feet (1,316 m). Its source is located at an elevation of 4,980 feet (1,520 m) at 40°32′47″N 111°48′42″W, the confluence of Big Willow Creek and Rocky Mouth Canyon that flow down the west slope of 11,253-foot (3,430 m) Lone Peak in the Wasatch Range.

Kimballs Lane is a light rail station in Draper, Utah, in the United States, served by the Blue Line of Utah Transit Authority's TRAX light rail system. The Blue Line provides service from Downtown Salt Lake City to downtown Draper. This station is the only TRAX station that will connect with the only bus route that runs between Salt Lake County and Utah County.

Crescent Elementary School is a public school located in the Crescent neighborhood of Sandy, Utah. It is included on the National Register of Historic Places.
