Byrkley Lodge

St George's Park (SGP) is the English Football Association's national football centre (NFC) built on a 330-acre (130 ha) site at Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire. The centre was officially opened by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on 9 October 2012.The purpose of the centre is to be the base for all coaching and development work undertaken by the FA, and to be the training and preparation ground for all 28 of the England national football teams at the same time, including disability, futsal and those who compete in UEFA and FIFA competitions such as: Men's Senior, U-21, U-20, U-19 and U-17. Women's Senior, U-21, U-19 and U-17.

RAF Tatenhill is a former Royal Air Force satellite airfield in Tatenhill, Staffordshire, England, 4 NM (7.4 km; 4.6 mi) west of Burton on Trent. It was originally known as RAF Crossplains.

Tatenhill Airfield (ICAO: EGBM) is a licensed airfield operated by Tatenhill Aviation Ltd. Its CAA Ordinary Licence (Number P813) allows flights for the public transport of passengers and for flying instruction as authorised by the licensee, Tatenhill Aviation. The three runways are paved, but one is no longer operational, and a second is used only occasionally. Running east–west, the main runway is the longest. The airfield is part of the Needwood Survey, a 3000 hectare (12 sq miles) estate held by the Duchy of Lancaster in the area of the former Needwood Forest. The airfield lies 6 miles west of Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, England, and is 11 miles south-west of Derby Airfield (a grass airfield with a flying school).

Rangemore is a village in the borough of East Staffordshire, situated approximately 4 miles (6 km) west of the town of Burton upon Trent, on a ridge of high ground about a mile due west of the village of Tatenhill where the population from the 2011 census can be found. Rangemore is in Needwood Forest, which is part of the National Forest. The Church of England parish church of All Saints belongs to the Diocese of Lichfield. The Grade II* church was designed by the Gothic Revival architect William Butterfield for Michael Thomas Bass and built in 1866–67. The chancel was designed by G.F. Bodley and added in 1895. The National Football Centre (NFC) of the England National Team received planning permission and funding from the Football Association in late 2010 to develop the nearby Byrkley Lodge site.

Dunstall is a small village and civil parish in the borough of East Staffordshire, Staffordshire, England. It lies between Burton upon Trent and Barton-under-Needwood. The population of the parish at the 2001 census was 215, decreasing to 209 at the 2011 Census.

Dunstall Hall is a privately owned 18th century mansion house near Tatenhill, Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire. It is a Grade II* listed building.

The RAF Fauld explosion was a military accident which occurred at 11:11 am on Monday, 27 November 1944 at the RAF Fauld underground munitions storage depot in Staffordshire, England. It was one of the largest non-nuclear explosions in history and the largest on UK soil. Between 3,500 and 4,000 tonnes (3,900 and 4,400 tons) of ordnance exploded, mostly high explosives. The explosion crater has a depth of 100 feet (30 m) and a maximum width of 1007 feet (307 m) although different sources have exaggerated this size. The crater is still visible just south of Fauld, to the east of Hanbury, Staffordshire. It is now known as the Hanbury Crater.A nearby reservoir containing 450,000 cubic metres (16,000,000 cu ft) of water was obliterated in the incident, along with several buildings including a complete farm. Flooding caused by the destruction of the reservoir added to the damage caused by the explosion.The exact death toll is uncertain; it is believed that about 70 people died in the explosion and resulting flood.

Deer Park is a cricket ground within the grounds of Dunstall Hall, Dunstall, Staffordshire. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1997, when the Derbyshire Second XI played the Durham Second XI in the Second XI Trophy. The ground held 2 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches in 1999. The first saw the Derbyshire Cricket Board as the home team against Shropshire and the second saw Staffordshire against the Nottinghamshire Cricket Board. The ground has held a number of Second XI Championship and Second XI Trophy matches for the Derbyshire Second XI. The ground has held a single List-A match which saw the Derbyshire Cricket Board play Wales Minor Counties in the 1999 NatWest Trophy.In local domestic cricket, Deer Park is the home ground of Dunstall Cricket Club who play in the Derbyshire Premier Cricket League.
