University of Malaya Medical Centre

University of Malaya Specialist Centre (UMSC) is the private arm of the University of Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC), and one of the top private hospitals in Malaysia. It is a tertiary medical centre with super-specialty services located along Jalan Universiti, Petaling Jaya. Established in 1998, UMSC was initially located at UMMC and in 2007 shifted to UMSC's own building. It is adjacent to the largest teaching hospital in Malaysia, UMMC and Malaysia's oldest medical school, the Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya founded in 1962 which shares its roots with the National University of Singapore's Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. UMSC is part of an integrated regional healthcare hub with UMMC, The Faculty of Medicine and The Faculty of Dentistry. Consultants from UMMC are permitted to conduct the private specialist clinic in UMSC after their usual consultation hours, and the facilities at UMMC are shared with UMSC.

Kota Darul Ehsan is a row of arches symbolizing the border on Malaysian Federal Highway between the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and Malaysian state of Selangor. Erected on Federal Route , it is the biggest arch in Malaysia.

Catholic High School Petaling Jaya (CHSPJ), more commonly known as SMJK Katholik or 公教中学 in Mandarin is a co-educational government Catholic missionary school in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, formerly recognised as a Cluster School of Excellence by the Malaysian Ministry of Education. Founded in 1956 by Rev. Bro. Philippe Wu of the Marist Brothers. It has approximately 3000 students. Due to having the status of a Chinese conforming school, applicants are required to have taken Chinese paper for UPSR, also known as the Primary School Achievement Test. Mandarin paper is compulsory for all students and enrolment examinations such as PT3 and SPM.

The Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Malaya (UM) established in 1971 in Kuala Lumpur. It traces its origins to the Dental Department of the King Edward VII College of Medicine (1927–1949) and the University of Malaya’s Department of Dentistry in Singapore (1949–1961), making it the oldest dental school in the country. The faculty is located near the University Malaya Medical Centre, Malaysia’s largest teaching hospital.

The Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya (commonly known as the UM Medical School, FoM UM, UM Medicine or Malaya Medicine) is one of the thirteen faculties of the University of Malaya (UM). It was officially established in September 1962 after the establishment of the university's Kuala Lumpur campus; it was the first medical school established in Malaysia.The faculty is well-known for its medical education and research, especially in the discovery of the Nipah virus (1998–1999 Malaysia Nipah virus outbreak).The faculty is widely regarded as the top medical school in Malaysia, being placed at No. 145 in the world in the subject of Medicine in the QS World University Subject Rankings 2021; this makes it the highest ranked medical school in Malaysia and the third highest in Southeast Asia.

The University of Malaya (Malay: Universiti Malaya; abbreviated as UM) is a public research university located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is the oldest and highest ranking Malaysian institution of higher education according to two international ranking agencies, and also the only university in the post-independent Malaya. The university has graduated four prime ministers of Malaysia, and other political, business, and cultural figures of national prominence. The predecessor of the university, King Edward VII College of Medicine, was established on 28 September 1905 in Singapore, then a territory of the British Empire. In October 1949, the merger of the King Edward VII College of Medicine and Raffles College created the university. Rapid growth during its first decade caused the university to organize as two autonomous divisions on 15 January 1959, one located in Singapore and the other in Kuala Lumpur. In 1960, the government of Malaysia indicated that these two divisions should become autonomous and separate national universities. One branch was located in Singapore, later becoming the National University of Singapore after the independence of Singapore from Malaysia, and the other branch was located in Kuala Lumpur, retaining the name University of Malaya. Legislation was passed in 1961 and the University of Malaya was established on 1 January 1962. In 2012, UM was granted autonomy by the Ministry of Higher Education.Today, UM has more than 2,500 faculty members and is divided into thirteen faculties, two academies, five institutes and six academic centres. In the latest QS World University Rankings, UM is currently ranked 65th in the world, 9th in Asia, 3rd in Southeast Asia and the highest ranked learning institution in Malaysia.The Faculty of Languages and Linguistics, Japanese Language and Linguistic Course was awarded the Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation for their contributions to promotion of Japanese language education in Malaysia on 1 December 2020.

Bible College of Malaysia (BCM) is a denominational seminary affiliated with the Assemblies of God of Malaysia. It is located in the city of Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. Established in 1960, BCM is accredited by the Asia Theological Association (ATA) and is a charter member of the Asia Pacific Theological Association (APTA).

Universiti is a light rapid transit (LRT) station in Kuala Lumpur served by the Kelana Jaya Line. This station serves the local population of University of Malaya and neighbouring Bangsar South, Pantai Dalam and Pantai Hill Park.

The Al-Rahman Mosque (Malay: Masjid Al-Rahman) is a mosque in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The mosque is located at University of Malaya in Jalan Pantai Baharu and was named after the first Malaysian Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj. Today, the mosque is joint managed by University of Malaya and the Department of Federal Territory Islamic Affairs (JAWI).

Wat Chetawan (Thai: วัดเชตวัน; RTGS: Wat Chetawan) (also called as the Chetawan Buddhist Temple) is a Thai temple in Petaling District, Selangor, Malaysia. The temple is situated at Jalan Pantai, off Jalan Gasing in Petaling Jaya. It was built in 1957 and officiated by the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the King of Thailand at the time. The temple is also the only Malaysian Siamese temple which has been chosen as the custodian of the Buddha sacred relics for all Malaysian Buddhists that are parts of the ancient relics discovered in Piprahwa, a village in Uttar Pradesh near the border of the Kingdom of Nepal in 1898 which were presented to King Chulalongkorn of Siam by the then British Viceroy of India, Lord Curzon.
