The Torre of Lapela (Portuguese: Torre de Lapela) is a ruined medieval castle located next to the Minho River in the town of Lapela, in Monção municipality, Viana do Castelo District, Portugal.

Salvaterra de Miño is a town and municipality (concello) in the province of Pontevedra, autonomous community of Galicia, Spain. It's located on the southern border of the province of Pontevedra, at the confluence of the valleys of the rivers Tea and Minho, and by the natural limits of the Serra da Cañiza. O Porriño is a municipality in the province of Pontevedra, in the autonomous community of Galicia, Spain. It belongs to the comarca of Vigo. As an industrial town in the Vigo metropolitan area, it has an important economic significance. One of its main industries is granite production; the variety of granite produced in O Porriño is known as Rosa Porriño ("Porriño Pink"), and is exported from the Port of Vigo mainly to Italy, Japan and China. On 9 September 2016, a Portuguese train travelling from Vigo to Porto derailed near O Porriño railway station, killing the driver and at least three other people on board.

The Brejoeira Palace (Portuguese: Palácio da Brejoeira) is a palace in Monção, Portugal. The Palace was constructed in the 18th century according to a project from the architect Carlos Amarante. It has been classified by IPPAR since 1910. The palace opened for the public in 2010.

On 9 September 2016, a passenger train travelling from Vigo, Spain to Oporto, Portugal derailed at O Porriño, Galicia, Spain. Four people were killed and 49 were injured, 7 severely injured.

Tui (Galician pronunciation: [ˈtuj]; Spanish: Tuy) is a municipality in the province of Pontevedra in the autonomous community of Galicia, in Spain. It is located in the comarca of O Baixo Miño on the right bank of the Miño River, facing the Portuguese town of Valença. The municipality of Tui is composed of 11 parishes: Randufe, Malvas, Pexegueiro, Areas, Pazos de Reis, Rebordáns, Ribadelouro, Guillarei, Paramos, Baldráns and Caldelas. Two bridges connect Tui and Valença: Tui International Bridge (known in Portugal as Valença International Bridge or "Friendship Bridge"), completed in 1878 under the direction of Pelayo Mancebo, and a modern one from the 1990s. Both Portugal and Spain being signatories of the Schengen Treaty, there are normally no formalities in crossing what is the busiest border-point in northern Portugal.

The Diocese of Tui-Vigo (Latin: Dioecesis Tudensis-Vicensis) is a Latin Church ecclesiastical territory or diocese of the Catholic Church in Northwestern Spain. It is a suffragan diocese in the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Santiago de Compostela.Its cathedral is Tui Cathedral, dedicated to Santa Maria, in the episcopal see of Tui. It also has a co-cathedral, dedicated to Saint Martin and the Virgin Mary in Vigo: the Co-Cathedral of Santa María, Vigo.

Tui Cathedral is a late-Romanesque and Gothic-style Roman Catholic church in the town of Tui, in Galicia, Spain. It is located at San Fernando square, in the center of the town. Construction began in the 12th century and the northern portal and layout derive from this age. The main facade (1225) however is of a later Gothic style. The main chapel located in the choir was completed in 1699 by Castro Canseco. The interior has a large prominent retablo de la Expectacion, and a large altar of relics in the Chapel of the Relics. The cloister is in Gothic style.
