Flower Hill Cemetery (North Bergen, New Jersey)

The Hoboken Cemetery is located at 5500 Tonnelle Avenue in North Bergen, New Jersey, United States. in the New Durham section. It was owned by the City of Hoboken. The Flower Hill Cemetery borders it on two sides. Although one may have the sense of a well groomed and cared for cemetery when first arriving at the Hoboken Cemetery, just a short walk in any direction and you will find a different story. It is bordered by Flower Hill Cemetery. The Secaucus Junction was built on land that was partially the Hudson County Burial Grounds. The exhumed bodies were to be re-interred at the Hoboken Cemetery but that was cancelled when the cemetery was found to have been recycling older full graves that did not have tombstones, and selling them as virgin plots. The cemetery said it has no record of any bodies being buried in those plots.

The Machpelah Cemetery, also spelled as "Macpelah Cemetery", or "Macphelah Cemetery", is a cemetery in Hudson County, New Jersey.

The Grove Church Cemetery is a nonsectarian cemetery, located on the western slope of the Hudson Palisades, along with several other cemeteries in a string of green open space, in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States. The Grove Church, who owns the cemetery, is one of the oldest religious bodies in the area, and it has had an operating cemetery since 1847. Throughout its history, prominent families have been buried there, as well as American Civil war veterans. There have also been reports of vandalism and misuse of the property since the 19th century, and in 2007 some of the cemetery grounds were occupied by the homeless.

North Bergen is a township in the northern part of Hudson County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 63,361, an increase of 2,588 (+4.3%) from the 2010 census count of 60,773, which in turn reflected an increase of 2,681 (+4.6%) from the 58,092 counted in the 2000 census. The township was incorporated in 1843. It was much diminished in territory by a series of secessions. Situated on the Hudson Palisades, it is one of the hilliest municipalities in the United States. Like neighboring North Hudson communities, North Bergen is among those places in the nation with the highest population density and a majority Hispanic population.

Tonnelle Avenue station is a ground-level station on the Hudson–Bergen Light Rail (HBLR) located at 51st Street in North Bergen, New Jersey. The station opened for service on February 25, 2006. Service from the station travels to West Side Avenue in Jersey City at all times. On weekdays, service is also available to Hoboken Terminal. In conjunction with the station, New Jersey Transit operates a 730-space park-and-ride lot on Tonnelle Avenue (U.S. Route 1 & 9), between 49th and 51st Streets. Currently, the station is the northern terminus for the light rail system, with two tracks and an island platform. The proposed Northern Branch Corridor Project would extend the line from Tonnelle Avenue north into Englewood, in eastern Bergen County. Daily and monthly parking is available. Monthly parking passes for the following month are sold on the 19th of each month.

The North Bergen Yard is freight rail yard and intermodal terminal in North Bergen, New Jersey parallel to Tonnelle Avenue between 49th and 69th Streets. Located within the North Jersey Shared Assets Area, the facility is part of CSX Transportation (CSXT) and the origination point of its CSX River Subdivision at the southern end of the Albany Division. On its west side, the New York, Susquehanna and Western Railway (NYSW) runs the length of the yard and operates a bulk transloading operation immediately adjacent to it.

Bergenline Avenue is a station on the Hudson–Bergen Light Rail (HBLR). The intermodal facility is located on 49th Street between Bergenline Avenue and Kennedy Boulevard in Union City, New Jersey, near its border with West New York and North Bergen. The station is the first and only completely underground station on the network and opened for service on February 25, 2006.

The school's student body was 55.6% (120) Black, 41.2% (89) White and 3.2% (7) Hispanic.

The Excelsior Engine Co. No. 2 Firehouse is a historic former fire station built in 1897 and located at 6106 Polk Street in the town of West New York in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States. It was later known as the Exempt Firemen Association Headquarters. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 12, 2022, for its significance in architecture and social history. It was listed in 2017 as one of the state's 10 most endangered historic places by Preservation New Jersey.

New Durham is a neighborhood in North Bergen Township in Hudson County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is located near the foot of Union Turnpike and Bergen Turnpike, and south of the Tonnelle Avenue Station of the Hudson Bergen Light Rail. It is one of the few residential areas along the otherwise industrial/commercial Tonnelle Ave, and site of one of the town's main post offices. The area was the site of the colonial American community centered on the Three Pigeons when most of North Hudson was called Bergen Woods, a name recalled in Bergenwood Section on the steep slopes of the west side of the Hudson Palisades. Bergen Turnpike was one of the plank roads Hackensack Plank Road, crossing the Bergen Hill and the Hackensack Meadows that joined the village at Bergen Square with that at Hackenack that had been made the county seat of then much larger Bergen County in 1710. A congregation, established in the 1800s, still uses the name for their church.New Durham was a station stop on New York, Susquehanna and Western Railway's route into Pavonia Terminal, just north of Homestead and the Susquehanna Transfer.The Meadowview Section of North Bergen rises to the east of New Durham to the Municipal Building on Kennedy Boulevard. This neighborhood is nestled between the many cemeteries-Flower Hill Cemetery, Grove Church Cemetery, Hoboken Cemetery, Macphelah Cemetery and Weehawken Cemetery, that characterize the area and collectively constitute one of the largest green open spaces in the otherwise densely populated North Hudson area.

The Three Pigeons was a prominent and famous meeting place in Bergen Township, New Jersey, during the revolutionary period, and was used historically as a landmark as well as a popular place for hosting special occasions.
