Union Township was a township that existed in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States. The township existed from 1861 to 1898. Union Township ("Town of Union") was incorporated as a township by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 28, 1861, from portions of North Bergen Township.Portions of the township were taken on March 29, 1864, to form the town Union Hill, which became part of Union City in 1925. A portion of Union Township was annexed by Guttenberg in 1878.On July 5, 1898, the residents of the remaining portions of Union Township passed a referendum to incorporate the town of West New York, which became effective as of July 8, 1898; With the creation of West New York, Union Township was dissolved.Two other municipalities in New Jersey are currently named Union Township. One is in Hunterdon County and the other is in Union County.

West New York School District is a public school district serving students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade in West New York, in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States. The district is one of 31 former Abbott districts statewide that were established pursuant to the decision by the New Jersey Supreme Court in Abbott v. Burke which are now referred to as "SDA Districts" based on the requirement for the state to cover all costs for school building and renovation projects in these districts under the supervision of the New Jersey Schools Development Authority. As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprised of nine schools, had an enrollment of 8,498 students and 595.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 14.3:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "A", the lowest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.

North Bergen is a township in the northern part of Hudson County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 63,361, an increase of 2,588 (+4.3%) from the 2010 census count of 60,773, which in turn reflected an increase of 2,681 (+4.6%) from the 58,092 counted in the 2000 census. The township was incorporated in 1843. It was much diminished in territory by a series of secessions. Situated on the Hudson Palisades, it is one of the hilliest municipalities in the United States. Like neighboring North Hudson communities, North Bergen is among those places in the nation with the highest population density and a majority Hispanic population.

The Hoboken Cemetery is located at 5500 Tonnelle Avenue in North Bergen, New Jersey, United States. in the New Durham section. It was owned by the City of Hoboken. The Flower Hill Cemetery borders it on two sides. Although one may have the sense of a well groomed and cared for cemetery when first arriving at the Hoboken Cemetery, just a short walk in any direction and you will find a different story. It is bordered by Flower Hill Cemetery. The Secaucus Junction was built on land that was partially the Hudson County Burial Grounds. The exhumed bodies were to be re-interred at the Hoboken Cemetery but that was cancelled when the cemetery was found to have been recycling older full graves that did not have tombstones, and selling them as virgin plots. The cemetery said it has no record of any bodies being buried in those plots.

The Machpelah Cemetery, also spelled as "Macpelah Cemetery", or "Macphelah Cemetery", is a cemetery in Hudson County, New Jersey.

North Hudson is the area in the northern part of Hudson County, New Jersey, situated on the west bank of the Hudson River, mostly atop the Hudson Palisades. It comprises Weehawken, Union City, West New York, Guttenberg and North Bergen.With a combined population of approximately 201,000, the municipalities are among the most densely populated in the United States. Some have large proportions of foreign-born residents and majority Hispanic populations. In four of the five towns, large percentages of the population speak another language other than English.The towns and adjacent areas have been known as the 'Home of the American Embroidery Industry' and 'Havana on the Hudson'.

Saint Joseph of the Palisades High School was a private, Roman Catholic high school in West New York, in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States. It was located within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark. As of the 2005-06 school year, the school had an enrollment of 291 students and 19.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 15.0. On February 27, 2009, it was announced the school would close at the end of the 2008-09 school year due to dwindling enrollment.

West New York is a town in the northern part of Hudson County, New Jersey, United States, situated upon the New Jersey Palisades. As of the 2020 United States census, the town's population was 52,912.Among places with a population above 50,000, West New York is the third-most densely populated municipality in the United States, with more than 52,800 people per square mile.

Memorial High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school in West New York, in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States, serving students in ninth through twelfth grades. The school is the lone secondary school of the West New York School District, an Abbott district that serves all of West New York. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1970; the school's accreditation expires in December 2021.As of the 2020–21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 2,115 students and 154.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.7:1. There were 1,496 students (70.7% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 209 (9.9% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

The Guttenberg Public School District is a community public school district that serves students in Pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from Guttenberg, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprising one school, had an enrollment of 949 students and 82.8 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.5:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "B", the second-lowest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J. Guttenberg, however, is not an Abbott district and therefore does not receive nearly as much state aid as any of the Abbotts do. For ninth through twelfth grades, public school students attend North Bergen High School in North Bergen, as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the North Bergen School District. As of the 2018–19 school year, the high school had an enrollment of 2,376 students and 165.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 14.4:1.

Bergenline Avenue is a station on the Hudson–Bergen Light Rail (HBLR). The intermodal facility is located on 49th Street between Bergenline Avenue and Kennedy Boulevard in Union City, New Jersey, near its border with West New York and North Bergen. The station is the first and only completely underground station on the network and opened for service on February 25, 2006.
