Katariina (Finnish; Katarina in Swedish) is a district in the Uittamo-Skanssi ward of the city of Turku, in Finland. It is located in the south of the city, and is mainly a low-density residential suburb. There is also a nature reserve in the area. The current (as of 2004) population of Katariina is 1,282, and it is increasing at an annual rate of 5.38%. 23.63% of the district's population are under 15 years old, while 8.50% are over 65. The district's linguistic makeup is 91.73% Finnish, 5.15% Swedish, and 3.12% other.

Friskala is a district of the city of Turku, in Finland. It is located in the southeastern part of the island of Hirvensalo, off the city's coast. The district also includes the small island of Iso-Vihtilä. Friskala is one of the smallest districts in Turku, with a population of only 23 (as of 2004). Brinkhall Manor (Finnish: Brinkhallin kartano or Swedish: Brinkhalls gård) is a historic manor house on Kakskerta island in the municipality of Turku, Finland. The mansion can trace its history back to the 16th century, when it was owned by Hans Erikson, the commander of Turku Castle, who also owned Brinkkala Mansion on the great square in Turku. He built a small castle, which was replaced by the existing manor in 1793. The house was designed by Gabriel von Bonndorff, an architect who was also the owner. It is the first neoclassical manor house in Finland. The interiors are from the 1920s. The last private owners sold the estate to the city of Turku in 1967, who turned it over to the Finnish Cultural Heritage Foundation in 2001. After restoration, they opened the house to visitors. Around the house there is an English landscape garden, one of the first in Finland, created at the start of the 19th century. The grounds were used as filming location for the historical TV drama Hovimäki.

Puistomäki (Finnish; Parkbacken in Swedish) is a district in the Uittamo-Skanssi ward of the city of Turku, in Finland. It is located to the south of the city centre, and is mainly a low-density residential suburb. as of 2004 the population of Puistomäki was 734, and was increasing at an annual rate of 6.13%. 17.30% of the district's population are under 15 years old, while 12.81% are over 65. The district's linguistic makeup is 90.46% Finnish, 5.59% Swedish, and 3.95% other.

Harittu is a district in the Uittamo-Skanssi ward of the city of Turku, in Finland. It is located in the southeast of the city, bordering the neighbouring municipality of Kaarina. The current (as of 2004) population of Harittu is 3,870, and it is increasing at an annual rate of 1.47%. 23.00% of the district's population are under 15 years old, while 4.19% are over 65. The district's linguistic makeup is 87.42% Finnish, 5.32% Swedish, and 7.26% other.

The Battle of Lemo was fought during the Finnish War between Sweden and Russia on 19–20 June 1808 (Julian calendar 7–8 June). On 19 June, about 2,500 Swedes landed at Lemo (Finnish:Lemu) in Kaarina in Southwest Finland, aided by the Swedish Navy. There, the Swedes intended to liberate Åbo (Finnish:Turku) from the Russians. The Swedish landing forces were commanded by Major General Eberhard von Vegesack. The Russian had about 3,600 men in the area under the command of Lieutenant General Karl Gustav von Baggovut.
